  1. Current favourite for QPR job is sat mid table of League 2 and only been a manager for 1 year.
  2. 16/1 or so now - we were 4/1 when QPR were winning at HT, nice lay.
  3. Goal difference isn’t a factor - we have to win both matches regardless so our GD will be minimum +13 if we do that (win by 1 twice). We also need Sheff Utd to lose against Fulham regardless so worst case their GD is also +13 (lose by 1). Same for Luton - if we catch them then we have to win 2 and they lose 2 - in that case there is a minimum 4 goal swing and we then have a better GD. Shorter Version: GD doesn’t actually come into play for us
  4. For what it's worth, Wilder was in the lounge / padded seats for the Coventry home match back in October, on his own. No rumours, saw him myself. That was 1 month before Boro took him on.
  5. That just isn't true - did we ever actually sit in the top 6 under Bowyer? Maybe for a week. We perhaps got into contention to put pressure on the top 6, then had displays like the Sheff Wed and Yeovil. He had a big wage bill, had players like King, Cairney, Gestede, Rhodes, Lawrence, as well as defenders who have been in the Premier League most seasons since (Duffy, Hanley - regardless of how we rate them). Bowyer grossly underachieved compared to Mowbray, but the club was even more of a shambles then and Bowyer has found his level in League 2. Similar to looking at players above that Bowyer had, I would say that I look back and wonder how a championship team with Harvey Elliott and the (2nd?) top scorer in the league finished 15th - the answer was our shocking defence. It's a shame Elliott probably came here a season too early for us. We had a +11 GD in 15th...not even sure how that is possible apart from being flat track bullies I guess.
  6. I think that is a bit harsh. If any other championship club on the edge of the playoffs had a manager out of contract in 2 games times I’d expect their local papers to be asking questions about it pretty relentlessly. I’m actually surprised they’ve not been asking earlier and more often (it is their job)
  7. Wycombe unbeaten in 11 games, only conceding 4 goals - they’re hitting form at the right time. Good chance Ainsworth will be taking them to the playoffs which in a league with some big clubs is another impressive feat. Also means he might not want to talk to clubs for a few weeks.
  8. Yeah that’s what I had them as too. So we’ve already sold ~5k BBE and ~10k in JW as well as just over half the Riverside and 2k in DE (including away) = about 19.5k already gone (18k home fans)
  9. Jack Walker is 11k isn’t it? Or have I had a brain fart?
  10. Unfortunately not, as we learnt from Oxford a few years back.
  11. But what a sh*te 12 years it's been!
  12. 84 single tickets left in the Blackburn End lower and ~750 left in the whole Jack Walker So those two stands alone we're looking at 15k-16k sold. Looks like about half the Riverside and another 250 sold in the Darwen End +1.5k Bournemouth so far so i'd estimate we're at about 19k-20k already sold. If think we might get 23k which will feel quite full considering the closed upper Blackburn end and half the lower Darwen end. I'm guessing it's also the biggest attendance since Oxford at home. We should be upselling the hell out of all the walk-ons. Improve the 'fan zone', season ticket info on seats, £5 off next seasons kit voucher (means they'd have to come back in a few months) etc....
  13. Is it a good or a bad thing that this has been announced a day before we want them to beat Sheffield United?
  14. We’re a 7/1 shot following that Boro win (12.5% chance). Take out the margin bookmakers add in and we’re probably 9/1 true price (10% chance) That’s just to make the top 6
  15. Blackburn End Lower and Jack Walker Lower pretty much sold out. We should get to 9k at least in the Jack Walker by the looks of it. So with away fans that’s 16k before Riverside and Darwen End (home) added on.
  16. Luton 6 points ahead with 2 games to go, obviously unrealistic but still a 1 to 5% chance or so that we win 2 and they lose 2. Mental he’d be allowed to referee based on that, let alone that his home town are our opposition.
  17. Update… Rovers need: - To beat Bournemouth (H) and Birmingham (A) And 2 of the 3 below: - Middlesbrough drop points in any of their 2 games (i.e don’t get 6 points) against Stoke (H) or PNE (A) - Luton lose against both Fulham (A) and Reading (H) - Sheffield United pick up a maximum of 3 points from QPR (A) and Fulham (H)
  18. Awful - the semi finals are regularly as good as football gets and the two legs (with no away goals as it should be) is the way to go. Sounds like a money spinner to get it somewhere neutral (like Wembley semi-finals for the fa cup)
  19. Fuck me - surely we have grounds to change this (ignoring the fact he’s absolutely useless)
  20. 3.5k sold as of yesterday +9k already signed up to a deal and 1.9k Bournemouth if they sell all theirs means we’re at about 14.5k (+ whatever we sold today) I think 18k total could be possible….we shouldn’t have opened the Darwen End lower though.
  21. 18k home fans would be some effort considering we only have 9k season tickets / half season tickets / final 5 tickets holders.
  22. Yeah obviously. I was factoring that into the Carlsberg Saturday hence us moving 6th 😉 Unfortunately QPR probably the only team worse than ourselves currently so I think we’ll be 6 points adrift come kick off on Saturday…albeit not out of it still.
  23. I thought he was a far better attacking threat than Nyambe, who seems to not have a clue when he gets in the opposition 3rd (Stoke at home was the worst I’ve seen from him) Lovely cross from Lenihan for the Brereton header off the bar, and a few nice balls through too. I actually don’t think Nyambe has an assist all season (I looked on soccerway but there may be more accurate sites). That’s pretty shocking considering he’s been RWB as well as RB.
  24. If Carlsberg did Saturdays a win would see Rovers sneak into 6th and Bournemouth drop down to 3rd!
  25. All this talk of Gallagher getting 10 a season if he was played in the correct position......he has 9 this season having only started 26 games and has been played out wide for the majority of the season (and 20 minutes at left back). For reference: Khadra 4 from 18 starts and Dolan 4 from 20 starts. He would comfortably get 10+ a season in this team if he was used correctly, and I am regularly critical about him, albeit more his positional sense and not using his height/strength. (27 players in the league have 10 goals this year with 2 games to go). I thought he had a great game yesterday and was the only player to hold their head high versus Stoke (and Buckley from the bench). Certainly deserves to be starting based on recent performance.
