  1. Is Lenihan banned for this? He's on 10 yellows for the season. Buckley/Travis on 9 are 1 away from a 2 game ban and Rothwell on 8 should be safe. Feels like a huge game in our season. Decent favourites whilst Sheff Utd play Boro and Luton play Coventry. A win versus Millwall and it will feel massive regardless of what happens elsewhere.
  2. But if you look back to earlier in the season, those Swansea chances were dropping in the net. It’s classic xG despite whether people hate that analysis or love it. Look today, QPR losing at home to Cardiff etc. We’re not going to finish in the top 2, but let’s be realistic, we can do what we have to finish in the top 6. Then let’s just enjoy it, it’s been a shite 10 years, I remember being in a pub in Brentford when we were relegated to League 1. Fuck I’d like to be in a boozer in Huddersfield/Sheffield/Middlesbrough or south London in May. Agree it’s worrying we’re not scoring but we are doing enough to win the games to see us in the playoffs (Battered QPR at home despite 1-0 and should have beaten SU….)
  3. We’ll see how it plays out. Should have had 4 versus Swansea and obvious issues with Sheff United. Agree we were shite against West Brom, Forest, Luton and Hull (the latter Mowbray changed the team) Just don’t think we should overreact too much to today. I’ll be first in line if we fuck it up in the next few matches.
  4. I’m pretty pessimistic with most things Rovers, who isn’t after the last few years but I can’t believe some of the stuff I read at times. Take a step back, we’re 4th in the league with 11 games to go (10 of which are against 11th or lower in the league). Even the most optimistic person on this board wouldn’t have said that at the start of the season. We lost to Fulham away - toughest game of the season - bring out the pitchforks if we get < 6 points from the next 3 home games
  5. Christ it’s mental. Imagine letting Nyambe go for free then we actually pay cash for bambi on ice. Just give Nyambe the money. He’s worth it when you consider what we’d have to spend on a replacement
  6. If we had lost at home to Cardiff I’d understand frustration. We just lost away to Fulham, the toughest of 46 fixtures over a season, whilst rivals lost at home to bottom half teams. It’s an open league, playoffs here we come.
  7. Yeah since Forest appointed Cooper they’re a top 6 team comfortably. It’s all to play for. But we’re in a great position, with our fixtures it would be a complete failure to miss out on the top 6. QPR will fall, next few games for ourselves are massive.
  8. Bournemouth, QPR, Luton, Coventry all lose (and Bournemouth if it matters) perspective is needed. As I’ve said, we’ve got a great run in - if we don’t make the top 6 now it’ll be a huge failure. Should comfortably get to 75+ points Good day for Boro and Huddersfield. Playoffs between ourselves, Boro, Hudds and Sheff Utd. Hopefully we draw the terriers for a big away day!
  9. I said recent performances, not been many wins or performances even in there
  10. You’re probably the only one on this messageboard who is extremely positive about recent performances (fair play to you), and saying you’re enjoying how we’ve been playing throughout February. What’s made you say you’d rather be in the conference north now?
  11. Isn’t Nyambe only 2 weeks? Otherwise give it to the godfather of soul for the time being. We surely signed him to play him?
  12. Not sure that even makes sense. It’s a better run in, as probability wise, we’re more likely to pick up more points than if we were playing different opponents.
  13. We have the best run in out of all 24 teams in the league, let alone our rivals. 11 games and only 2 top 10 teams (one of which are 10th) 10 of 11 games against teams placed 10th or worse in the league. It’s ours to throw away now. I’ll start screaming and sweating when we throw away our matches against Reading, Bristol City etc. For perspective, we play 46 games in a season and that is our toughest match (on paper). 2nd half we were decent, a Kaminski shocker (again) cost us, although this time we’d have lost anyway. I’m still fuming about the Sheff Utd match!!
  14. Whilst it was an absolute joke that “he had to mentor Smallwood”…. he isn’t all that either. He’s a good, top half of the championship midfielder. Won’t be starting for Fulham next season
  15. Yeah - I’m a critic of his, but Gally did more than almost all of them since coming on. Helped that he was on whilst we actually played some football
  16. Superb lads, on sky at 12:30 in London. 👏
  17. Agree with that actually regarding Travis. No point him being out there now.
  18. We have no midfield out there and Kaminski had a howler. Frustrating to watch though. I won’t overreact too much from this result, toughest fixture of the season and I went into it thinking a point would be in our favour. Hopefully results go our way later and we can concentrate on going on a run at home similar to our last defeat vs Fulham.
  19. Wouldn’t be worrying about Bournemouth
  20. Ref has bought all the bullshit from their players and fans and gave a yellow for a clear penalty.
  21. I thought dissent was a yellow card offence? Gobbing off in the linesman’s face.
  22. That’s as bad as you’ll see. Appalling.
  23. Boro have two assets in Spence and Jones on that side of the pitch.
  24. Ah imagine reaching Wembley after a win down in Bournemouth, that would be some coach journey back home! I think SU winning is best if not a draw. They’ll be top 6 regardless, so takes Forest out a bit. I think we’ll be okay. 1 place up for grabs behind ourselves, Sheff U, Huddersfield and Bournemouth.
  25. Very true, the best passers are probably the back 3!
