  1. Sadly, we seem to have made contact with a number of clubs regarding possible transfers only to make an offer way below valuation. This lad is playing for the current Swedish Champions and is also a full international - being sceptical and recognising what has happened this window with the likes of Sagnan, Nade etc, would think this is yet another rabbit hole. Think it's more like;y we sign Patrick Bauer or someone similar!
  2. Have posted my thoughts and you disagree. Not going to waste my time arguing the toss with you.
  3. The timing suggests to me that he's not the 'hot property' he and his agent thought he might be. Championship teams are at least 2 weeks into their pre season and you think Dolan would be a 'low hanging fruit' and easy to pick.
  4. IMO, in his post match interviews at Stanley, although refreshingly honest, his body language told me he was already p1ssed-off. I think you are right, he wont take the current shambles lying down - just a repetition of what happened with JDT and Eustace.
  5. See Derby have completed the signing of Patrick Agyemang for an initial fee believed to be almost £6million, however, he will miss the first games as he needs hernia surgery! Explodes the myth they have nowt to spend. Whether they have enough left in the coffers for Brittain and/or Travis remains to be seen. At least they are showing ambition and backing their feckin manager.
  6. Think Dolan needs to sack his agent as he seems to have been sold, and believed, a fairytale. Huge dose of reality setting in for the lad.
  7. Little doubt there will be. Yet another embarrassment.
  8. Is Carter unfit? Not seen any updates on his cramp?
  9. All I have tried to do is outline in basic terms what the connections are between club, parent company and ultimate holding company and how the club is financed. Intercompany loans can be a complex tax area where there are write-offs due to either insolvency or for other reasons. Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd (as ultimate holding company) will have its own group accounts back in India. Whilst there is a Double Tax Treaty between UK and India, I am unable to comment on any implications UK operations will have on VHPL.
  10. A few posts have been made about how the parent company (Venkys London Limited) funds the football club (The Blackburn Rovers Football and Athletic Limited) and what is the nature of that funding. Venkys London Limited is a subsidiary of Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd which is the ultimate holding company and controlled by Desai and the Rao brothers. To fund Rovers, Venkys London Limited issue shares with proceeds then loaned to the football club and shown in the football club's balance sheet under 'Creditors - amounts falling due within one year' (last accounts at 30 June 2024 showed an amount of £134 million up from £123.1 million the previous year). Notes to the accounts advise these are interest free loans and Venkys London Limited will not recall these loans within 12 months of the date the football club's financial statements are approved (signed off by CEO Waggott and the club's auditors on 12 December 2024).
  11. Could anyone really complain if Travis buggers off at the first opportunity? Isn't he supposed to have said to a fan at Accrington on Saturday he hadn't received a contract offer? At his age, his next contract is so important as his earning potential will never be higher.
  12. With that team we would be cut adrift by October with no prospect of recovery. Would be relegated with a record low number of points.
  13. Never been a Lowe fan and seems Eustace sought to isolate him. However, for Rovers not to even confirm this departure is poor. One does wonder if this is litigious.
  14. Agree and to think some are touting Montgomery as our bottom box midfielder. Plain crazy.
  15. You've left out Mikael Nade which was again ridiculous wishful thinking from Rovers.
  16. Yep, a top fan going back to early sixties who can count on two hands the number of seasons I DID NOT have season ticket(s) and for many seasons held half a dozen or so season tickets. Also bought corporate facilities. What's your record? Nowt wrong with betting against your team if you believe in a certain outcome. Wrong - check my postings. On match day, usually bet on a single outcome and additionally throw in a 'fun bet' eg correct score, goals over etc.
  17. IMO, his body language and demeanour indicate he's already p1ssed-off. I expect more frank views from him as the days unfold. Not released by the bookies yet but unless something remarkable and unexpected happens at Ewood soon I'll be piling in!
  18. A scan for cramp !?!?!? Stress fractures in the foot can be problematical. Normal healing process takes up to 3 months and if they don't heal properly surgery is inevitable sometimes necessitating re-fracturing the bone and you are back to square one! Have known footballers be out for 6 to 12 months in some cases. Think this might well be dead in the water now.
  19. Do not associate those comments to me.
  20. Ask yourself a simple question. Why do the Raos seemingly refuse to entertain any potential sale of Rovers? IMO, they are sh1t scared of something.
  21. Managers of many clubs talk about their new signings and what they bring to the club with one of the key attributes being a winning mentality. 3 out of our 4 signings (if Baradji gets over the line) come from relegated sides used to losing! That does not augur well!
  22. Posted earlier today on that one. In any event, the only thing a new contract secures is a potentially bigger fee for Rovers. How many players sign new contracts with release clauses!? Bigger wage or not, if the lad doesn't fancy being at Rovers any longer and other more ambitious clubs want him then it's game over.
  23. Agree. Not only that, think Travis and Tronstad (and maybe even Hyam) look in the mirror and ask themselves if they really want to be here, as if they didn't know already! Posted earlier in the week It would be devastating if we lost 1 of our 3 key players, disastrous if we lost 2 and catastrophic if we lost all 3. It's not looking great.
  24. Yes they are all exceptional players, however, the point I am trying to make is age should be no barrier - if you are good enough then you are old enough. I accept some players 'bloom' later. Tyjon seems a 'special' talent as evidenced by those PL team trying to snare him. IMO, if the lad is a 'special' talent, at the very least, he should be playing some 1st team football for Rovers this season.
  25. If you are good enough then you are old enough: Pele - international at 16 and playing and starring in World Cup winning team at 17 Mbappe - international at 18 and playing and starring in World Cup winning team at 19 Yamal - international at 16 and playing and starring in Euros winning team at 17 George Best - United 1st team at 17 Trevor Francis - Brum 1st team at 16 and banged 4 goals in 1 league game at 16 Damien Duff and Phil Jones - PL debuts at 18 If Tyjon is going to be the player we hope and think he is, he should be playing 1st team football for Rovers this season.
