  1. Frightening similarities for Rovers - hasn't our wage bill over the last three sets of accounts averaged close on 160% of turnover!? I think Rovers are in big trouble and when the final ball of the season has been kicked next Wednesday night, to use one of Mowbray's often used sayings, 'let's see what happens'.
  2. Excellent post. Sadly, I think the chickens are about to come home to roost.
  3. I don't know how much Bielsa is on. If Rovers stopped, IMO, spunking money up the wall on cr@p signings like Brereton and Gallagher and swept all the deadwood away, a fraction of that money would allow us to appoint a quality manager. Posted a few days ago, the three key positions at a club are CEO, Football Manager and Chief Scout. Sadly, for us, I think we employ three muppets and that is why we are where we are.
  4. IMO, a certain Rovers' win tomorrow (win when it least matters!) Think Mowbray will be busting a gut to win the last two games so he can bang the drum for Pune to hear about year-on-year improvement. Those players looking for new contracts will duly oblige for 'Uncle Tone'. Banged on Rovers win at just better than evens.
  5. I think you miss the point. When Kenny arrived, players listened because of his legendary status. He automatically commanded their attention / respect by his achievements in the game. Very early in my professional life, I had a mentor who was a retired CEO of a national organisation. I listened and learned and it was perhaps the most beneficial 12 months of my working life!
  6. The 'happy clappers' live in a weird and wonderful world!
  7. Rovers goalie to kid Benson 'what've you done in football, show us your caps and medals' Player to Mowbray 'What've you achieved in football' - 'my wife makes great lemon drizzle cake'! Bottom line is Keane has done it all and got the tee shirt. Benson and Mowbray haven't.
  8. Really? Well put it to the test and set up a poll on this MB.
  9. Telepathic - look at the post I've just made in the Mowbray poll thread!
  10. Spoke with about half a dozen folk today about Rovers. What struck me is how apathetic many have become. It's as though all the energy and desire has been sucked out of our club. I think we need to change our CEO and manager or we will just die.
  11. Think his trophy cabinet has far more medals and awards than your hero Mowbray. I think 9 out of 10 would take Keane over Mowbray every day of the week.
  12. It is a moment of opportunity for some................................ Some entrepreneurs / investors are very active out there at the moment. Time to buy shares was 4/5 months ago when FTSE100 down to about 5,000. Still some bargains to be had, many will bounce back.
  13. This has only exacerbated our financial predicament. It is not just the transfer fees but some £10million or so of wages and employers' NI we are committed to over the course of Brereton and Gallagher's contracts. Sadly, I don't think there'll be much realisation value in Brereton and Gallagher. Given our ongoing losses are say in the £15 to £20million a year range, our only way to even 'stand still' is through either additional share issue (we've seen £19.6million in last 12 months), or sale of players (or combination of both). I think we are financially pickled.
  14. The point I'm making, Waggott as CEO should be facing up Pune. Let's say our Exec Directors and Mowbray all resigned, what do you think Pune would do?
  15. Over the last 12 months, through VLL, the Raos have input £19.6million in three separate share issues - this has kept us afloat and is indicative of our ongoing scale of loss. With the pandemic, financial position of both parties can only have got worse. I have been accused of scaremongering but as a finance professional with more years than I care to remember working across industry and commerce, I can tell you things don't feel right to me and I am seriously worried about our ongoing viability.
  16. It's down to Waggott. What is he - a man or a mouse? Get them told we need a budget and in good time. If he doesn't get it then he should walk, possibly with a case for constructive dismissal, as clearly he has not got the tools to do his job properly. It aint rocket science.
  17. Feels to me like he's already laying the ground for a season of absolute mediocrity at best! Get those excuses in early!
  18. Yes, they are and without their support the club is finished. However, they are, IMO, paying for their idiocy. They bought a top 10 PL and their decisions since have cost them and us so very, very dearly.
  19. We need a proven winner - a ruthless, hard b@stard with a 'can do' attitude. IMO, there is so much complacency, deadwood, here for the holiday etc to be swept away. Don't think Keane is tactically great and that's why we'd need a clever number 2 / coach - akin to Kenny / Ray combo.
  20. Think you'll find it's even worse - 7 points from 7 games.
  21. Well let's see where he ends up. My view is he is capable of playing in the PL with the right support through good management and coaching. Did I say 'a great attacking footballer in the PL' - no I didn't. There is coaching and coaching and drills and drills. IMO, Mowbray, Venus and Lowe will never get the best out of Nyambe. I think better managers and coaches will. Case in point Raya who, IMO, looks a far more confident and competent goalkeeper since he moved to Brentford.
