  1. Past hour
  2. West Ham interviewed aswell and said no for similar reasons. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/13123981/ruben-amorim-on-west-ham-reports-sporting-boss-apologises-to-clubs-fans-after-confirming-hammers-talks#:~:text=Ruben Amorim has admitted to,not comment at the time. West Ham source reveals the reason why they rejected Ruben Amorim as they searched for a manager in the summer - despite him flying in for an interview - as Man United deal looms | Daily Mail Online https://share.google/9vP2BTqVYUILiExNV
  3. The Telegraph conducting themselves with dignity and professionalism with what must be an extremely challenging development for them. Unlike the cowboys running Rovers who wouldn't know the meaning of the word professionalism and continue to drag a once proud institution through the gutter
  4. There is the prize money element too. Perhaps not trying in the league has cost them a few million then.
  5. You don't get more Gary Bowyer than that.
  6. I highly doubt this is true, he will have gone to win every game, he was just a poor manager who couldn't get wins in the PL. If it is actually true, he deserves to be sacked for that alone. Why would Spurs fans pay extortionate amounts of money for a season ticket, knowing the manager is "giving up" on the league?
  7. There could be a hint here that they are willing to do an expose. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25502945.commitment-blackburn-rovers-coverage-ban/
  8. The 5 people most likely to cause our relegation this year. It isn’t all down to the manager, but take your choice.
  9. Is it now 13 losses in a row to promoted teams away from home?
  10. My guess is that he will get the boot if Liverpool tub them at Anfield in a few weeks. I read this morning that one reason they are sticking with him is that there are no plausible alternatives out there. I'd also say that any sensible manager would stay away from the job. It's a poisoned chalice. As long as the Glazer's are taking money out and Ratcliffe is wielding the axe with his corporate cost cutting ideas nothing will change. Allegedly Liverpool were looking at Amorim when Klopp decided to leave but decided against it after he said he'd be playing 3-4-3. They told him that Liverpool's players aren't set up for that system.
  11. Today
  12. The two I ordered have arrived. I won't be back in the UK to try mine on, until the middle of October, but my son has the one I bought him for his 35th Birthday and is over the moon with it. I daren't do a Madon and post a picture of myself in it, but will report on it, which I am sure will be a complimentary one. Great that we can by stuff and know the clowns supposedly running the show at Ewood get nothing out if it.

  14. Preview of tonight's game for the U21s, apparently Goddard is injured and Forshaw may play https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/september/29/preview--leicester-city-under-21s-v-rovers-under-21s/ Also, just noticed that Rovers are not in the PL International Cup this year, They have been regular participants for several years I wonder if this is a competition that can be opted out of, and Rovers exclusion being possibly another sign of cost cutting?
  15. Its hard to gauge how he is perceived overall. He obviously wasnt well received at first but he seemed to charm quite a few over the summer based on what he said. He was "aligned" with this "project" of bringing in players who are already materialising in the main to be a huge downgrade and some seemed to be fooled by it. I think his record is 6 wins, 3 draws and 10 defeats. He is a poor manager happy to do as he is told and blame everyone else but the club and as such will be here for the duration.
  16. Agreed, very telling. Not just a reflection on the manager either, clearly hadn't bought into the whole squad rebuild and would rather play his football elsewhere. A decision easily vindicated by the fact we're in a relegation battle and he, for now at least, is top of the league.
  17. Don’t rock the boat is the only thing he needs to abide by. Results and performances are secondary by some distance.
  18. Belated and brief review of the 12 course taster menu at “ The French “ at “The Midland Hotel “ in Manchester. We were led to a private room at the side of the main lounge. The room would probably seat about 40 people. Most of the other diners were couples. It was nicely quiet with some smooth jazz playing in the background. The four of us were seated in a horse shoe shaped sitting area. Not particularly comfortable with our legs sort of colliding in the middle. Each course was brought to your table and described in detail by the particular chief that created it. All beautifully presented and set out. Every dish was possibly about two or three mouthfuls. The pudding was especially delicious. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. After sitting down at 7-30pm we finally left the Midland at just after 11.00 pm. So it’s a full evening of a job. I really enjoyed the evening and I wasn’t bloated at the end. However according to my wife the price of the 12 course taster meal is around £180 per head ! Plus drinks plus tip of course.
  19. Kids are cheaper, on and off the field and are likely to have never seen it done properly before. Therefore can look up to the likes of Gestede and he can say whatever he wants.
  20. I console myself, with knowing that the people I have got to know, through attending matches and also their love for the club, are still in my view, what the club, is all about and not the people running it, who are in it for nothing other than selfish reasons. Let's face it, one of the major decision makers, has refused to play for the club and now stand accused of being a bully around the place and the other has links to the agents, who seem to have made off with millions. They will be gone one day and the sooner the better.
  21. Just imagine the remuneration he has banked for generally being a failure...great if you can get the gig.
  22. Brittain's exit was telling on the manager front, had worked with him previously and was still desperate to join Rob Edward's side after a phone call. He absolutely has to start getting more wins but I'm not sure it's what he's being measured on. In fact I'm not sure he's being measured on anything at this moment in time.
  23. We have a tee shirt to give away also… Sign up today for just £1.99 to have a chance to win…👍
  24. They shouldn't settle for anything. Everton were punished within the rules if I recall.
  25. Good article, but I suspect it will be a relegation place that the 3 points could cost us, not a top 6 or promotion spot.
  26. Yep. Trying for £50m. Finance expert Stefan Borson expects the case to settle at some point for around £10m. The PL aren't keen on the litigation as it's a bad look for the League. Roll on Rovers plus team denied promotion by Ipswich v the EFL.
