  1. Past hour
  2. You say you will judge the manager on results but refrain from calling him out when they continue to be crap. You say you will judge players on performances, praise the good ones like Alebiosu and defer any judgement on the ones who play poorly because you cant bring yourself to criticise. Tronstad is the example people come back to but there are lots of examples of players that signed from abroad, started poorly and failed overall. They wont all do a Tronstad.
  3. RevidgeBlue would have a meltdown if Mowbray came back. He is definitely a considerable upgrade on Ismael but we shouldnt get him back. He has had his time here and has also recently had a life threatening illness since.
  4. If the poor form continues, the won't sell many walk-on tickets, even at the reduced prices. I really want to be able to enjoy the day, I really hope we can build some momentum from somewhere going into that match and I really hope we can get three points on the day, no matter how we do it. But my gut tells me it's going to be a half empty ground, feeling flat and generally fed up. I wish more than anything it wasn't the case.
  5. I think someone Wilsden said on here over the weekend that this is our worst start to a season under Venkys. Very worrying considering during that time we have survived relegation twice on the final day and been relegated twice. Strap yourselves in.
  6. Probably the case, although one of Oldhams centre backs was sent off this weekend, which may open up an opportunity for him If he doesn't feature this coming weekend, he probably never will
  7. This day could be a complete disaster for the club if we lose all this next run of games which is highly likely.
  8. When TM left he had taken us as far as he could and it was time for him to go. I'm grateful to him and for his time leading the team. I think he always did his best and wanted the best for the club, but it became stale and starting sliding backwards, we had a couple of very bad runs towards the end. Objectively he is a much better manager than Valerian Ismael and would do a better job, so bringing him in I think would give us a better chance of avoiding relegation. However, I think it would really divide the fan base, there are many who got very fed-up with TM and disliked him, if he didn't get results straight away it could get just as toxic as it's probably going to get soon under current management. Not sure whether it would be the right thing to do. There's also no guarantee he'd want to work here again after the way they treated him at the end.
  9. Olson has gone from regular starter for Altrincham last season with good reviews to hardly getting a game at Oldham. Needs recalling in January and placing elsewhere suspect Altrincham would be delighted to have him back in view of their poor start.
  10. I don't think our current results are entirely down to VI, the issues are significantly bigger than the manager. However, I don’t think he's up to the job either. His results since coming in show that, as does his poor managerial record before coming here. For me, Tony Mowbray coming back is a no brainer. We're now back in the same state (actually much worse) than when he joined the club first time around. He's skilled at stabilising clubs and getting them back on track and that's what we need right now. He's a very safe pair of hands who would get far better results than VI.
  11. 17 minutes (+ injury time) from this weekend's game, and I think he has only been available for 2 games after signing on the 10th Oct, Although that doesn't make your overall point any less true
  12. I'd go with that line up but 1-1 scoreline with pears coming off the bench and scoring.
  13. You speak for thousands
  14. Some of the players who have started well might faded away and have a poor set of games shortly, who knows. we see in the future again, some players settled in quicker than others. Tronstad started very poorly then spent a couple of months out of the squad then he started and proved his worth. MGP was similar when he didn't play for a couple of months then Hughes brought him back in for Cardiff FA cup in January still banging on about Baradji again like a broken record I have always said I will judge on performances of new players so god knows what you going on about again
  15. 16/17 - Rovers had 8 points from their opening 9 games. 25/26 - Rovers have 7 points from their opening 9 games.
  16. Today
  17. Sky Sports News - Complicit in our downfall. The whole football world poured their unethical , toxic, dark soul into our club like parasites they are. Which IMO is why selling up won't happen.
  18. Wouldn't surprise me if they ask Miller to play with painkillers for this game, having a back three seem to suit the team better. Sheffield Utd has played with a 3-4-2-1 system in the last three matches, I say we match them and try to hit them on the break whenever possible: In possession (3-4-2-1) Out of possession (4-4-2) Toth Toth Miller Wharton McLoughlin Miller Wharton McLoughlin Hedges Alebiosu TGH Tronstad Hedges Alebiosu TGH Tronstad De Neve Kargbo De Neve Kargbo Ohashi Ohashi Our attack is utter crap at the moment with Cantwell injured so might as well go for directness and pace in Kargbo and De Neve as the two "number 10s" that can attack the flanks or half spaces during transitions. We had a bit of success getting forward on the flanks vs Coventry (especially with Alebiosu) so hopefully that can continue and we manage to put in better crosses and attack the box with more players.
  19. Patrik Farkas has had 13 minutes game time in the three games Prescot Cables have played since he went there. In my view another totally pointless loan which will do absolutely nothing for his development.
  20. That is the sad reality of most of us unfortunately. We'll always love the club but in terms of actually enjoying football again it's a while off. Like many said before League 1/2 new owners happy days.
  21. My view is that this goes right back to the very beginning, when Anderson, Kean, Kentaro et al we’re all involved. The funds used to buy the club, seem to have been layered, which suggests to me that money laundering took place. On the money laundering theme, that has come up again fairly recently with suspicions of this going on with some of the funds moved around in India and some transferred over to the UK. Add in the dubious agents, the Global 11 fund, the Italian Aristocrat and Pasha being linked to Kentaro and in it from the very beginning and Thats all far to convenient to be pure coincidence. We even have recent Tweets from Craig Honeyman, who also seems to be connected to these people, yet again defending the club and having a go at supporters. Add Gestedes links to Kean and it just seems to be a never ending set of connections. All my opinion of course, for what it’s worth.
  22. When fans like you Matty feel this way it’s pretty grim. Decent owners really would care but ours won’t.
  23. With Miller likely to be missing tomorrow, I'm struggling to see a way in which Rovers can play 3 at the back, which is a shame given the shape seemed to work ok for an hour at Coventry. Who knew that selling a regular CB on deadline day with no planned replacement would lead to such a scenario 🙃. I think Ismael will be forced to revert to a back 4. Expecting to see something like this: Toth Alebiosu McLoughlin Wharton Ribeiro TGH Tronstad Morishita Ohashi Hedges Gudjohnsen Rovers 0 - 2 Sheff United. Wilder has more often than not had the better of Rovers in the past, and I see no reason for that to change here.
  24. It’s the helplessness of it. Yesterday my Facebook memories flashed up with the stream of consciousness I was spouting on that day in 2009. We’d just beat that lot again down the M65 (the last season in which we would) and the passion was flying out of me. Now? On Saturday, a 3pm game not too far away I would’ve gone without question a few years back, but I didn’t even think about it, indeed I just glanced at the score at half time/full time, sighed and went on with my day - anyone that knows me and my lifelong passion for all thinks Blackburn Rovers wouldn’t recognise me. ’Yeah, yeah it’s because you’re shit so you can’t be arsed’. No, not the case. I was burning with anger, protesting, paying my fees to WATR for years when we were also shit but you hoped we could push them towards the door, if not at least push them into a change of course. Sheff Wed are shit too, but their fans know they are at near end game, hope. Here? What’s the point? The ‘club’ has no interest in achieving anything on the pitch, yet the owners have no interest in selling to anybody that would try to. Protests don’t work, ten thousand people walking away doesn’t work. So, you just quietly quit and move on with your life, without even noticing.
