  1. Past hour
  2. JDT was out his depth in the championship, massively naive and just tried to outscore the opposition regardless of their quality. Made for some entertaining performances but also some total disasters. Unless he was given two incredible centre backs the quality of Van Dijk it was never going to work. Ismael I still think will be gone once we get a few injuries and bad results pile up with our squad depth so poor. He seems a bit too fiery and mental to just stand in an interview and keep his mouth shut. Selling Hyam I imagine massively pissed him off.
  3. I went to the Bradford game (we should have won it 5-2 with the chances we had) like you say henriksson played badly in that one. Let's hope hes more to offer in future matches.
  4. I wonder what's the betting at the bookies, Sam Szmodics comes off the bench, and nets the winner. Fingers crossed, hopefully not.
  5. Another case of playing a player in a position that suits his skill set best. Funny how his new club had it figured out pretty sharpish.
  6. I went to the Bradford cup game at Ewood and he was awful. I didn't see any feature that looked promising, physically or technically. Early doors I guess and he may improve, but didn't look promising to me. I dont think hes placed since that game?
  7. Fair play to him... when he ran down his contract on a free I don't think anyone - even his biggest fans - would have said he'd get a crack at the top leagues. He seemed a good championship player, but not much more than that . It's another in quite a few who we have written off only to be surprised. I think the main thing to take away is supporters generally (myself included) are not actually that good at judging the quality of players.
  8. Hyam sale probably bought them another couple of months operating costs, Pashas in the good books.
  9. Trying to make a case for Markanday being better than Dolan is like trying to make a case for Donald Trump over Mother Teresa. It's not happening.
  10. Today
  11. Not from what we've seen so far... Where he fits in is a bit of a puzzle to me. I think hes billed as a number 10 but the way hes played hasnt really suggested that, doesn't seem to have the technical skills to do that role? But early days obviously. Any of our Scandinavian supporters able to provide an insight?
  12. I thought they’d have made an application to the court re this as soon as the previous order had been made. Nothing showing yet though.
  13. Yes they still need to stipulate this by filing an affidavit with the court. This has to be done within one working day of the funds being sent.
  14. It's quite an outlier of an opinion you have. Do you ever change opinions? Have you heard of the backfire effect? Markanday was ignored by several Rovers managers. Dolan was not. Markanday is currently toiling in League 2. Dolan is not. Dolan frustrated the life out of me but I'd pick him 10 times out of 10 ahead of Markanday.
  15. But have they got the bond money back ? Which i suspect was the main driver of all this.
  16. It would be worth it for Vinjay's reaction alone, for Rovers to appoint Phil Jones in some capacity.
  17. Surely its obvious that Madrid, Barce, etc are just so bad that they are making him look good 😉
  18. Apologies if I missed it, even though the guarantee has been removed, do they still need to stipulate what the money is to be used for before sending?
  19. Permission to remit funds without guarantee granted two weeks ago. Affidavit yet to be lodged to say monies have been sent…
  20. I saw very little improvement in Dolan, so I stick to my opinion.
  21. U17s won 3-1 away at Man Utd last night in the first game of the PL Cup, Stoke and the Dingles are the other teams in our group Hopefully the club give an update on this at some point, but apparently it was a strong Man Utd side and their fans were surprised by the loss No idea what side Rovers put out
  22. Of course you are but there seems to be such little evidence to back up your opinion. You've been going on about Markanday being better than Dolan for months when even Rovers had no time for him and Dolan started every game. If you're serious and not taking the piss, in my opinion, you should go to Specsavers.
  23. Always felt like JDT's attitude was 'this is what I told you I would do, this is the project you said you'd support. If you choose not to do so, the consequences are on you, and I'm not changing my ways to compromise." Some of that would have been fuelled by the fact he offered to leave in the summer and was forced to stay. He was essentially telling them this won't work, but the geniuses in charge decided to keep on going anyway.
  24. Chesterfield fans debating whether Markanday should be starting.
  25. I do not take the piss, this is MY opinion, you may have a different one and you are entitled to it.
  26. Yes he didnt have a job and they are hard to come by, so he would have agreed to anything really to get the contract. Like JDT and Eustace though if he performs well and attracts interest I would expect his acceptance of the situation to completely change. If he does well i dont think he will lie down and take another window like this one.
