  1. Past hour
  2. Agree on Henriksson and Tavares. Any players coming from overseas need to be given time to adjust. I do worry about Tavares attitude and application though...I think that may be a big factor in why we have barely seen the guy in recent weeks. I think the technical ability is there, but the player himself has to want to do the hard work. Henriksson has the potential of a solid championship player IMO, but he needs to get up to speed with the pace of the game at this level. Remember vividly how Tronstad took a while to get going when he first arrived, so I'm hoping its a similar case with Axel.
  3. Yeah, I saw an illustration of the balls that got Root, Brook and Pope out. They are all shoulder high about 2 ft outside the off stump. Absolutely no need to play at any of them. Significantly only one player was out bowled, all the rest were caught. Just let the bowlers tire themselves out.
  4. You used to bang on about 'communication', but now media comments are a 'non-issue'.
  5. 2-1 Rovers. Ohashi and Gudjohnsen. Same team if possible.
  6. Their away form is actually pretty good, only losing 1 of the last 5 in a narrow defeat to Derby. Hopefully we'll be a bit fresher with the extra days rest, they earnt it after running their socks off Friday night. Plenty of time to work on set pieces again in training too, it would be nice to make it a regular thing being so effective on them. Very tough one to call and 2-1 either way I reckon, let's just hope it's in our favour 😀
  7. But he definitely doesnt prove that we tend to get exactly what we need and/or upgrade our team in January. That was my initial point, there might be the odd serviceable squad player in that time admittedly.
  8. I thought Sanderson was decent, certainly good enough to be on our bench. He starts every game for Derby and Baath doesn’t.
  9. I never really understood the need for getting a neck full of ale before a game. As you get older and the weather gets colder the need for a piss can be a nuisance. Especially now everybody is in seats.
  10. So you agree that we need a Hyam replacement AND a second centre back that could potentially be O'Riordan. My comments about what we need arent necessarily aligned with whether its likely in January. But we are massively short at centre back, we were even before we changed formation. We are short at right wing back. And we are now massively short up front because we play 2 instead of 1. The last response shows that you are really reluctant to accept the reality of how the club operates nowadays. Trying to spin signing players like Sanderson as proof that we do sign quality that we need in January and being bored by the suggestion that we dont get what we need.
  11. It isnt a factor, I specifically said it doesnt matter. Points per game is the important one, obviously. Im guessing you think that 18th in the table is above or at least on par with where youd place this set of players in the table.
  12. Derby day in Sheff: A Welcome message for the lovely Mr Wilder and the queue outside Spoons in Hillsborough at 7.30am 🙃
  13. Today
  14. To non players that pass wouldn’t have looked much but if you’ve ever played you’ll know how good it was. Later on he hits an inch perfect cross field pass with his right foot. You don’t get many left footed players that are happy to use their right foot when the occasion calls for it.
  15. They'll be moving back to United now after another capitulation at Anfield yesterday, but you point still stands Matty.
  16. 2-0 Rovers. QPR wont fancy a midweek in November, with less pressure on them to now get a result coupled with our form, I think we'll comfortably win.
  17. Our Home form is appalling for some unknown reason and yet people ask why we only average around 11-12k home fans...can anyone lay the blame at the supporters? Our most optimistic league position being mid-table mediocrity, yeah! lets go celebrate. Like I say,God only knows what the QPR attendance will be looking at the Seat Booker!!😬
  18. Considerably so, but my point being there is still a sizeable fanbase out there.
  19. That has always been the case. What has changed is the way that defenders are asked to play.
  20. We arent out of it though 9 clear from relegation 6 away from 6th we've played alot of the tougher opponents in the league already, keep playing like we can against the next run of fixtures and we can be adding points nicely
  21. The bit that frustrated me the most was that I felt there were three wickets we gave away that were preventable, by just leaving it. As it was, they went for the shots and ended up out. Absolute basics.
  22. Lets see our League position improve rapidly before getting carried away. Much to do here.
