If we HAVE to play Cashin(to avoid a financial penalty)why not play him in "defensive midfield" in front of a back 3? Sort of a 3-1-4-2 formation. With nine,yes nine central defenders we have serious defensive overload(Litherland,Carter & Wharton all injured plus the 6 of Atcheson, Miller, McLoughlin, O`Riordan, Pratt & Cashin) so can`t use half the squad otherwise! Perhaps we asked/begged Brighton for a loan player dirt cheap, but forgot to mention it should be a striker/winger and asked for a defender instead?

Guess it will be an early test of whether Cashin is undroppable. Whatever you think of Pickering you'd have thought that as he's completely out of favour they'd have had him out of the door by now. Seems a complete waste of time to have him on the books and ignore him. Use him or get rid.

Glimt play 4-3-3, so you're correct but he can probably play as a second striker in a 3-5-2 as well. I think if we stick to the say formation and Henriksson is the other alternative, then Jørgensen has to start tomorrow night.

Pickering is one of a handful of players we have who has proven to be of consistent Championship quality for a few years. Ridiculous he isn’t playing. He’s also probably our best set piece taker. Alebiosu travelling straight to Swansea to link up with the team, could be involved. Cantwell a doubt after taking the elbow to the face.

Nothing to update atm. Think we all know how indecisive V's are and how slowly they tend to move. Just bear in mind a takeover process for a sizeable concern can take quite some time with due diligence alone accounting for 40 to 60 days (and I'm pretty sure any buyer of Rovers would be incredibly assiduous). There's little doubt that Rovers seem to be generally paranoid about leaks of any kind and this may account for the lack of rumour and speculation on this matter - other than my source of this information, I've only come across one other person who has knowingly mentioned it.

NOW it's a must win. There are points to take from coming games but it's a mixed bag. Must win tomorrow.

I think there are a few bad sides around us, and like I said I think its at least a 4 way shoot out for one place, it will go to the wire I imagine either way. Like said in the previous post, if we're in the bottom 3 after that Norwich away game though, then I think that will probably be that when you look at the games afterwards.

From the looks of it we still need a striker. The new lad would appear to be more of a right sided wide forward.

He's been run into the ground and from Ismael's comments the new signing isn't ready so it'll be him and Henriksson again I expect. Surprised he hasn't done his hamstrings yet to be completely honest.

Watched them v Boro Friday night. Although they lost 3-2 to a late goal right at the death they played pretty well and I can't see them going down.

Im amazed you've had this confidence all season that we'll stay up. I've been of the view that those away wins in the first half of the campaign were very much an outlier and once those inevitably dried up we'd be in desperate trouble. Which is now proving to be the case seemingly. If Ismael stays I don't think it'll even be close, I think we'll struggle to get to 40 points. A new voice, approach and pair of eyes and we might just get enough of a bounce to scrape to safety.

So from Ismael Jorgensen isn't match fit and won't be rushed into the team. The recruitment team are really outdoing themselves, a defender who blocks our own academy players and put in a performance the likes of which haven't been seen since Shane Duffy's temper tantrum, and a striker who isn't in a position to start ahead of Henriksson who can't even play there. Absolutely phenomenal work lads.

I wouldnt be rushing to put Ohashi in the side, think he's been dreadful recently.

Things are so depressing that my only refuge is gallows humour. I'm so depressed, this sprang to my mind but please cheer me up and contribute your wit in a few posts before I jump off a very tall building. There comes a point when you stop checking the league table because you already know that you're somewhere between “mathematically doomed” and “practically relegated.” Other clubs are out there signing strikers with two working legs and a pulse whilst we’re proudly unveiling "potential" from some unheard of Z league whose last goal came during the Bronze Age. VI assures us there’s no need to panic, which is exactly what people say when there is every need to panic. Our current squad couldn’t finish a sandwich, never mind a chance, and the only thing our midfield creates is anxiety. Somehow I still manage to tell people I'm a Rovers supporter but these days more in the same way one might love a three legged dog that keeps running into traffic. What you got?
