  1. Past hour
  2. Once again though you said this last year probably around the exact same time I do think we are behind in terms of recruitment and I’m not a big fan of people saying judge us when the window is closed etc but we are extremely early in it and there are very little clubs doing business at present
  3. Surely they watched several games of him live and in the flesh though, before splurging the majority of our budget.....πŸ€”
  4. Got to say, given it's just the Portuguese league, the only stats that stand out are the passing (completion anyway, the progressive passes and passes attempted are very low) and interceptions. He has more shit stats there than good ones. The proof will be in the pudding of course, and the eye test will be more important. But if he has been signed because of the data, I don't see why. Not from this data anyway.
  5. Fantastic cricket! Had a bit of everything except controversy πŸ‘
  6. Today
  7. We need Wood and Archer really if we’re to have any chance.
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rovers didn't know what was happening tomorrow.
  9. Was a great game, one to remember for a very long time. But its the Ashes I really crave victories in, can anyone see us bowling out Australia in Australia with that pop-gun bowling line-up? Need a fit Wood and a fit and in-form Archer at least---unlikely?
  10. Must be difficult to drum up positivity in the players left when VI sees his decimated squad. No way under Earth`s starry firmanent they can replace Dolan(worth only Β£1 million apparently) at that level for the money saved including wages without extraordinary luck! Must be his re-sale value isn`t high so they don`t care! I know the lad has his limitations, but he`s far superior to Hedges or anyone else we have as a wide forward plus isn`t permanently injured and does get involved. The absolute reversal of Buckley or Corey Evans, Guthrie etc etc The only contract renewals aka Hedges, Forshaw are players who have no other takers. VI will seriously earn his corn if he stays(and keeps us up).
  11. We didn't know anything about the 2 players who have signed until their first link and 24 hours later they had signed. De Neve said in his interview he was first made aware of our interest 3 months ago so hopefully they have some more signings close
  12. That'll be the 90% business done then by the first week of pre season.
  13. It will look well for those who have already booked travel and lodgings, if the 2 fixtures in Spain are cancelled. Surely the opposition must be know by now, as it is less than 4 weeks away.
  14. I honestly prefer it to be quiet until we actually sign players when their merits can be discussed. I really don't like transfer windows purely because of the oneupmanship and bickering even the most tenuous link can bring. Roll on the end of August.
  15. looks like the budget has been spent so waiting for loans now.
  16. Quiet and depressing. Seen reported half a dozen or so Academy lads training with 1st team - Ismael must be gutted. Scores on the doors from last season: 'Gone': Dolan, Batth, Weimann, Beck, ACD (5) 'Going': Travis (90% probability), Brittain (90% probability) and Tronstad & Hyam (50/50) In: De Neve, Tavares (2) So that's 5 seniors (4 of which good/steady Championship performers) out the door with another 4 in the 'revolving door'. Neither of our 2 signings have pulled up trees at their previous clubs and highly unlikely to hit the ground running - 2 big risks. To coin an advertising slogan - 'the future's bleak, the future's black' !
  17. Lads don't speak like that! You'll be on ignore for disagreeing with Chaddys views that follow everything the club do
  18. Plymouth, who were relegated, didn't even want him. They literally gave him to us.
  19. Pretty quiet at the minute, any chance of an @unleaded update? πŸ‘€
  20. If you're going to be so contrary in your desperation to defend everything the Club does it's maybe worth pointing out that Batth and Weimann are wanted by at least 2 Clubs, (Derby and us) We've just signed a player only in demand by one Club, us, in Forshaw. Didn't see you scoffing when Forshaw re-signed. You've been effectively endorsing the signing by reproducing previous comments VI made about him. Edit: See Tomphil and Mercer beat me to it.
  21. You don't half talk some crap Chaddy. Other than Rovers, who the feck wanted Forshaw!?!? A pure desperate signing. Clearly, Batth and Weimann have known about the Derby deal for some time and so will have other clubs who may or may not have spoken with them. Nicko does not know everything that goes on in the football world and you know even less.
  22. How do you even know that ? You don't. Besides it's TWO clubs.....
  23. Surprised by this appointment - Gibson going to be treading water again. Really surprised by this one - no real track record and bombed in his last two jobs.
  24. Batth's stock wasn't high after his stint at Norwich, he wasn't even getting a game when they had multiple injuries at the back. Probably why he accepted a 1 year deal then but wants a 2 year deal now that others might be interested.
  25. PNE have local lads "The Spud Brothers" as their sponsor. Their logo looks abysmal on their shirts.
  26. And Forshaw x2. Now the other 2 aren't desperate they are in demand so they'll go where the biggest pay is, naturally.
