Just listened to the entire Kidder St Podcast with Glen. Couldn't possibly get into all the ins and outs of what was said, but very well done to Glen, that was a great interview. Really enjoyed hearing about his own nostalgia and memories of Rovers, but thought on all the serious matters that he came across very well - professional, not stooping to insults, rumours, gossip. Very transparent and realistic. Good work. I hope the guy who runs that podcast can chop out some key points and get them drip fed into various social media sites to keep the conversation going and make fans aware.

I don't think he's underestimating them at all. I think his observations are quite accurate. I honestly don't know how some of these cretins can even call themselves Rovers fans. They're as much to blame for the last 15 years as the owners and their associates are. I think a lot of them would be quite happy seeing the team playing in the National League North with gates of 5-800 just so they can say that they're supporting their team through thick and thin. I'm assuming the thick part of that is their brains, if they've even got any. Nothing will be organised like what other clubs manage because of these dropkicks. The easiest thing to do is what many of us have done, just wash your hands of it and walk away. You may be a hardcore supporter of venky fc but don't ever try and tell me that you're a Rovers fan because you're fucking not.

Are the actions of this football club, one who cannot offer competitive wages to get any proven first team players to sign, befitting one that genuinely cares and is striving for promotion? You seem a bit paranoid about the alignment but Ismael seems more and more pissed off with each passing interview. Dont swallow the "transition season" rubbish. Its operation cut backs, results are secondary. New players will always say the stuff about pushing for Premier League etc. I do somewhat sympathise for Ismael as no one can possibly appreciate how rotten this club is until in on the inside. I told you I always want the best for the club. I answered you. It shouldn't need outwardly stating but if that means Gestede doing a good job with recruitment then hopefully he does a good job. If he does, he'll get no criticism from me for it. Theoretically I'd like every employee of the club to succeed. My only caveat would be sometimes it can be papering over the cracks and dragging out our purgatory with Venkys, but it's hard to know what if anything could get rid of them anyway. Gestede's appointment gained rightful criticism because he was completely unqualified for the job, especially at a club of this calibre. He also dropped us like a bad habit when he was a player, so that won't have helped, despite the club's bizarre attempts to paint him as some club legend. It's up to him to make all of that irrelevant by doing great work. The jury is still very much out on that for now, especially since the contract situation has deteriorated again since the Broughton days were swapped for the Gestede era.
