  1. Past hour
  2. They will almost certainly hire a worse manager. Any decent manager won’t touch it. It doesn’t take a genius to see it’s an impossible task. We don’t really need to do anything if you’re happy not to watch Rovers at Ewood for somewhere between 5 and 10 years. They’ll leave themselves no option but administration if we leave them to it. They’re totally incapable of running a successful football club. The crowds will continue to reduce, the inevitable relegation(s) will come, the budgets will get smaller and smaller and eventually we’ll start again.
  3. And there’s the in-house fighting that always lets us down. It’s no wonder they get away with owning us, we spend more time bickering between each other. For what it’s worth I agree. The coalition has gone very quiet. I would imagine mostly because Glen has taken on a role with the trust and nobody else can lead it. I too completed the Trust’s survey and have seen nothing since. But let’s not forget history. Whilst you where Chair of the Trust - an unenviable role, for the record - the Trust spent years being the “critical friend” to no avail, attempted to get to the Owners through Waggott which plenty said in advance was a waste of time and set up an agreement which the club which they totally ignore. Glass houses and all that.
  4. On the manager, sadly nothing will change until Venky's and Pasha are out. They've treated the fans with contempt for 15 years and it feels like they're on the brink of causing more damage than ever before by being completely awol (as usual) during a crisis, off the pitch, on the pitch, beneath the pitch and in the stands. Nearly everyone I speak to, including myself does not want to attend games and the reality is the board couldn't care less, and the owners probably aren't even aware. I'm sick of seeing in person what they've done to this club. I've no doubt "the board's" day to day at the moment is largely made up of making sure word doesn't get out about the horrific job they're doing. There are people in roles they shouldn't be anywhere near. You can argue we need to go down, perhaps multiple times to start over so Rudy Gestede is doing a great job with that. 👏 There's the occasional smart-arse out there that pretends the owners have their use, "who else would put in what they do", "we're a small town". The fact of the matter is no matter how smart you think you are and no matter how small you think the town is, there are around 7,000 fans missing, as a direct result of disengaged ownership whether or not it has been funded, and around a further 4,000 missing that would return if the club became a success again – Venky's ownership gives no hope of that, absolutely none, and that's a lot of missed revenue as a result of their performance.
  5. My niece turned the game off at the family party at half time, must have had a premonition. How did Baradji play when he came on?
  6. The only hope is that Toth, Tronstad, Wharton and Hedges (!!!) come back as soon as possible and none of them get injured to the end of the season. Without them, we’re certain to be relegated. Even with them playing regularly, and alot of luck, it’s going to be tough. This is as poor a squad as I can remember in my 60 plus year lifetime of support
  7. Henriksson terrible. Today played a throw in straight into touch. DeNeve terrible. Well documented elsewhere and confirmed by Ismael's own after match comments. Gudjohansen lazy and contributes little except an occasional goal. Tavares lazy and disinterested. Mclauglin very error prone. Miller distribution appalling.TGJ headless chicken.
  8. Today
  9. Would you drop either of Ohashi or Gudjohnsen for him ?
  10. I couldn’t watch the game today, we were booked in at the Royal Exchange in Manchester to see “ Singing In The Rain “. I was sat in my seat feeling quite relaxed about the game today. Then at 2-00 I looked at the team on my phone . What the fuck was that team selection all about ? I thought I was good at slotting players in roles but that was totally inexplicable. I couldn’t figure out who should be playing where. It looked like he’d put all the players names into a hat and just picked out the first 11 names. There wasn’t a tackle in the midfield. My heart sank when I saw that team. In such a big game ! What was he thinking off ? What was the plan ? Has anybody asked him ? Come 5-15 and I’m on my way out of the theatre so I have a quick look at the scores. Scored first and lost to bloody Portsmouth. Where do we go from here ? I’ve defended Ismael in the past but I can’t defend that selection today. Does he really want to be fired ? Is it time for a pay off ? That starting team said “ Please Sack Me “ in my eyes. Incidentally - “ Singing In The Rain “ is brilliant, but I’m on a totally downer now !
  11. We've employed Steve Kean before and this lot are on the verge of making Gestede the CEO. Don't put Shabani Nonda as manager beyond them
  12. But better than the dross brought in last summer
  13. I don't think it will stop there, League Two looming in 15 months time.. The recruitment is shocking and the few decent players remaining, will leave in Jan or July 26, transfer money disappearing into the ether!
  14. you can`t really blame ismael, they`ve done exactly to him what they did to jdt and eustace, the only difference is,he has`nt complained or ****** off (yet)
  15. What exactly are the Coalition doing please? All I have seen is 2 statements in 5 months and I see the Trust also produced a survey in early October and have yet to release the findings. There is rumour of a 135/15 sticker and a leaflet; are these available yet? Fans rightly point the finger at the club for failing to feed back from every single survey they undertake.
  16. We had one! I would think the reputation of the Club is now such that we won't find another,
  17. A "proper manager? Could have fooled me.
  18. He has no impact and opposition centre backs have him in their pocket. If he hadn't scored a few goals he'd be as bad as Chris Brown.
  19. is this 👆the post you were thinking of?
  20. He always looks like a rabbit in the headlights.
  21. Don't see much merit in sacking Ismael. He's a yes man but at least he's a proper manager, who knows what the alternative would be. I know we've struggled with seeing games out but I don't think there's many games I disagree with his subs, it's just the subs are shite. It's like asking a general to fight a war with dads army on the front lines. You can't pad a military out with bits and bobs.
  22. Put TGH in his place and lose every match.
  23. This time he's throwing certain players under the bus. He's right that they were at fault but who keeps selecting DeNeve and Ribeiro?
  24. You can sack him yes. It’s very difficult to back him TBH. It won’t make any difference though. The fundamentals at the club give his replacement virtually no chance of success. He wouldn’t get backed properly, he wouldn’t be allowed to have much, if any say on sales or incomings. The people above are a bunch of chancers only in it for themselves. Rovers aren’t just one fix away from succeeding in any way. In all my time supporting the club, in seasons where we struggle there was always some hope. Maybe key players were out, maybe there were easier fixtures ahead. Or maybe a decent signing in the next window would have an effect. I don’t feel this way ATM. People saying today we’re in trouble. We’ve been in trouble since this crew turned up.
  25. None of the available centre backs are good enough to play in a back four. And it negates the team's main attacking threat Alebeouso.
