Did he say why Alebiosu won’t be playing ? I noticed in the Nigeria 3rd place game the lad who’s the 1st choice right back got injured after about 70 minutes but they didn’t bring Alebiosu on.

Val has basically told us that the current available team can't compete at this level (I agree with him, but it's probably not the most encouraging thing for the players to hear!). Seeing as the transfer window is open, the fact we are not desperately trying to bring a couple of players in who can play on Saturday suggests we are basically throwing this match and the next few until some players are back. Makes you wonder how bothered they are about whether we get relegated or not.

Exactly, just release the whole call at this point. The short clips are just dull and there's not been anything that damaging from those clips. Still can't fathom why a prank caller would get through to them and decide to ask about our reserve GK. Doesn't make any sense. Ask whether they are willing to sell our captain and then there would be uproar from the fans if they were trying to flog him. Hard to really care what has been said about selling a second rate GK.

On the plus side, if the Watford fans have any songs to sing about old Val, he'll be able to hear them loud and clear.

From 7th in May, just missing out on the top six, to desperately watching the Pompey score in January to see if we slide into the bottom three on the back of a one win in twelve league run. These must be the exciting times Rudy was talking about.

If that stays the same I think that's that for us. The manager has clearly given up in any game for the foreseeable future because we won't have players back and there just isn't the fight in the squad needed to bail ourselves out.

That does rely on the assumption we wouldn't have somehow screwed up both situations, which isn't an assumption I'm hugely confident in. Also technically five points as we did get one against Ipswich at Ewood in the end. Should have been three, but, y'know... screwed it up. Or I guess it's four points as we also got a point from Wednesday.

I would say that it's impossible for any professional in a negotiation to sell a player to bring up that the team is prone to losing when that player is on the pitch. However, this is the same club that said Gueye didn't train properly and had the captain laughing at him in a widely circulated video - whilst we were trying to sell him - so who knows.
