  2. This is a public service announcement: Please stand by for operation 'Travis is a greedy bastard'. Please stand by for operation 'Travis is a greedy bastard'. Thank you.
  3. Spin by the club to make it not their fault that he’s going 👍🏻
  4. No worries, Rev. I've put the link there so that anybody who has some free time and wants to check it out for themselves can take a look. I didn't know it was a thing either, but the documents clearly show many agents listed as representing the 'former club' (selling club) in transactions across the game. It appears to be normal practice, but I don't think it occurs in every sale. I want to know how it comes about, how does an agent get that particular role. Do they offer their services or are they chosen by senior people within clubs? What has emerged to me from studying these documents and looking at various other things over the last 15 years is a clear pattern. The pattern has been there from the start but took a sharp rise in 2015, oddly enough. I can't think what happened in 2015. I made two predictions based on that pattern a few months back and told the forum: Karanka is next in and keep an eye out for six clubs. A week after my first prediction...a friendly hack has Karanka down as the leading candidate, which the club denied. An agent trying to get Karanka (former Boro, former Birmingham) the gig? I think so. As for the second call...just look at this summer. Who wants ex Sunderland, currently out in India, as the new CEO? That's the first piece of speculation I saw this summer. Press rumours are press rumours I guess and people might say 'just paper talk' etc but again, there are a lot of coincidences that keep on happening.
  5. id`e be happy to get 3 million for him,i don`t think he`s a great player but he`s a good leader and we`ll miss that ,same with batth
  6. He’s top for us he isn’t a top championship midfielder imo. I don’t look at him and think he’s he walks into all the top teams in the division no way we get 5m+ for him not a chance
  7. he`s got a lazy reputation hence he`s not been picked up by anyone, surprising as he`s a very good player tbh
  8. I’m surprised we haven’t looked at Diangana on a free. Championship experience but then again maybe he wants a championship level salary so we’ve got no chance.
  9. I cant see it. We have had huge turnover in our squad and as Wilsden said need to pick a relatively consistent team to find our rhythm. I feel like Travis might be left out due to an incoming transfer, and we may try three at the back. But all the other key players will be out there.
  10. Maybe I was hyperboling
  11. if venkys had invested in jdt`s squad,we`de definately have been promoted, keeping hold of wharton for another season and smzodics firing them in.2/3 more players that 2nd season and we`de have been in the premier league that venkys claim they want to be,which illustrates what a complete load of shite and lies they come out with
  12. If thats true its good news as presumably they would be offering a big fee too. Travis had a poor game on Saturday but hes a top Championship midfielder. If hes off we need £5M+.
  13. Even the Blackpool fans, were purring about him, that night. A very special player and it’s painful to think, how we wasted his talent that way, due to the incompetence and neglect, inside Ewood.
  14. why not just write it the right way round? Make it easier for some of us (me included. I didn’t realise it was Carl). 😀
  15. Adam And The Ants - Stand And Deliver
  16. FF explosion? I must have missed that. I thought it was just a disagreement over minutes...
  17. I thought we followed on from the last performance in Holland. We were just going through the motions in the first half. They must have had the hard word at the interval because they upped the tempo somewhat in the second half.
  18. Toth Miller. Hyam. Wharton. Pickering Montgomery tavares Henriksen. Cantwell. Kargbo Gueye
  19. Today
  20. After we got promoted with Howard Kendall we finished 4th once (goal difference), 5th thrice and 6th once. I think it was a lot different to the last fifteen years . God, until Mowbray, we were only in the play off positions for about three minutes under Bowyer...
  21. I thought the body language was poor from a lot of them in that first half it's not what you'd expect in the first game of a new season with everything to play for.
  22. Just for Clarity, I post as lraC (Carl) backwards.
  23. Agreed we missed the boat but you had said if they have been offered they have eventually still not good enough mind you also if trav has been offered 30k (I don’t believe so) then his agent deserves a knighthood
  24. Don had a couple of years maybe before Jack started making a difference. He funded Archibald and Ardilles didn’t he? Propped up the Riverside, put a big ad on the Blackburn End roof. Don did a good job, but he definitely had a helping hand. The Mackay years were exciting, the Saxton years steady-ish, which got him the push in the end. As I recall the years between Kendall and Mackay, the predominant feeling was a bit like now: going nowhere, no dosh, anyone any good gets sold before their prime.
  25. Fair enough. Happy to leave it at that, until O2G has had the time to respond and given us the clarity, you, I and others, request.
