  2. I am 66 years old, to me ten years is recent.
  3. Left us ten years ago, not sure I'd call him recent either at this point.
  4. Oooh what a great pub quiz question - since 2011 what player has gone on to have the most top flight games across Europes five major leagues. Got to be (if we exclude loanees) 1. Raya 2. Cairney After that a lot more guessing. Hanley, Duffy racked up a few. Hoilett? BBD. Wharton now obviously. Ooh... Josh King must be up there. Armstrong Really highlights how few top level players we have had.
  5. Carey another who sneaks into next week as he came back in 70/71. Tough to make some date breaks, but the 70s list is far less illustrious than this one 👀 as I’m sure you’ll be able to predict!
  6. As far as back up goalies go, Pears isn't too bad. I'm pleased he's still here if Toth is out for an extended period. Pears is just one of those confidence players. He does have the basic skill set but the problem is in his head. When he's on form he's a Championship level goalkeeper, but as soon as something goes wrong the indecision is there for all to see and he becomes woefully inadequate. I think it was David James who once said all good goalkeepers are a bit weird. Its such a pressure position that it takes a very specific personality to instantly forget about a mistake you've made, and Pears just doesn't have that in him. If his tail is up whilst Toth is out he'll do a job, however my biggest worry is, even taking mentality out of the equation, technically speaking Toth is just so much better. He's by far one of our most valuable players and regardless of Pears form or mindset, he'll be a downgrade. There have been fine margins in two of our recent wins where if Pears were in net, I don't think we'd have won.
  7. Great to see Gudjohnsen, and Ohashi, beginning to find the net. Long may it continue.
  8. There similar to us Derby, poor start, but beginning to get results. We should do our homework on the players they signed, and hopefully get a win.
  9. I was saying to a fellow Rovers supporter last week, we need a bit of momentum, before the international break, you can't ask for more, a hat trick of wins.

  11. Today
  12. Struggling to understand what anyone gets out of going to the FF meetings if the atmosphere is miserable/confrontational and the released minutes don't reflect significant amounts of what was discussed. What is the point? It's a complete waste of time, and if what we're hearing on this thread is true then it just aids the club in manufacturing a false narrative.
  13. I think it just shows how far our standards have fallen.
  14. In the summer he was being looked at as a winger. So assessing his attacking abilities was very much relevant. A defensive winger can serve a purpose occasionally but mostly you need one that can attack, if you haven't got a dire or highly attacking full back behind him. He looked much more comfortable last night playing as a wingback.
  15. Both will be assessed but IV says not looking good & expects to be without both.
  16. How do we know Wharton and toth are out? Is it confirmed they won't be starting?
  17. Honestly Raya seems like a lifetime ago at this point, I'd completely forgotten about him.
  18. I spoke about his importance during the summer and got shot down, my simplistic view is to not view his attacking capabilities (if a manager did he wouldn't play). He stops a full back being overrun and is always willing to be an outlet for the ball, being an outlet to take and hold the ball is far more of a skill than people think.
  19. John and Mark should do the honorable thing and resign. It's an absolute farce that they have agreed to the club to publish not signed off minutes and on this occasion completely rule out any amendments. I really hope the other members of the FF put a vote of no confidence in them both.
  20. He's already done better in Spain than Brereton managed. In fact of all the 'stars' to have left us for greener pastures in recent years he's only really behind Wharton in terms of where he's ended up and minutes played. Fair play to the lad.
  21. Would have been nice but obviously too much trouble those in charge.
