  1. Past hour
  2. I think our first eleven, if they played every week, would stay up. With injuries and suspensions, I think we're vulnerable.
  3. I would say relegation is definitely on now for several reasons: - We have a thin squad and are starting to pick up some injuries (Alebiosu, Carter). Our cover for centre back, right back and central midfield is looking really bad right now. - Our schedule after International break looks tough (Coventry, Sheffield Utd, Leicester, Southampton). We'll probably have to play Ipswich being sandwiched between any of the weekend matches before the end of year as well. If we're sitting at the bottom end of table come December, then the chances for relegation will be fairly high given our lack of investment during previous winter transfer windows. - We lost against Charlton making it 13 consecutive away defeats in a row against newly promoted sides which will probably put a dent in their confidence. Chances are it will extend to 15 when we play Wrexham and Birmingham later this season. - They are banning local press for basically exercising freedom of speech, meaning they're not likely to cope well with any type of pressure or scrutiny from the outside. - Self-inflicted negativity is surrounding the club at the moment given how poorly they've handled the aftermath of the Ipswich game as well as the banning of LT from Ewood Park. Weak mentality traits: susceptible to pressure, overreacting and shifting blame onto others. Don't think it will take much more negativity/ poor results before it completely collapses to be honest.
  4. Well he learnt from the best albeit Waggott was more Arthur Daley than narcissist.
  5. Gestede is a narcissistic con-man. It really sickens me that a work experience novice has been given so much power.
  6. Errrrmmmmm............. Four defeats out of six. Horrendous stuff. Picking fights with the local press, likely to get sued by the kit supplier, staff both playing and non playing who can't wait to get away and leaving in droves. No replacement for Waggott as bad as he was. The Club is in its death throes. I'll be astounded if we dont go down this season.
  7. Imagine after when Rudy told us last season that we were in for an exciting summer, he had winked and whispered "I can confirm that by October Adam Forshaw will be crucial to our starting eleven"
  8. Well… I’ve never looked forward to reading an Elliott Jackson match report until today! That was absolutely dreadful. 3-0 flattered us. Charlton squandered loads of really good chances. They absolutely bullied us, particularly second half. No positives to be taken out of that shit show. Hopefully Forshaw is fit soon as I genuinely think he makes our strongest 11. What a testament to Gestede’s recruitment.
  9. Have to say, what an absolutely shocking signing Tavares has been. Up there with the worst CM I've ever seen
  10. What a pathetic display. Struggling badly to even get out of our own half while 1-0 down against a poor side. A lot of poor performances but Tavares deserves a dishonorable mention. He is so lazy and/or poor defensively. When he is on the pitch the opponents tend to just run through our midfield at will.
  11. But the club are more interested in sacking journalists. I'm a bit indifferent about whether or not Ismael should be sacked at this point, I don't think it makes a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. I feel like we're circling the plughole very slowly. Edit - I assume we wouldn't be able to afford to sack him. Remember though, over 100 applicants and he was the best one, because surely we would only appoint the very best applicant.
  12. Don't throw him the trophy tonight fgs.
  13. He played him in midfield, only moving him to full back after the injury. Did you miss an hour ?
  14. Click the link at the top of this thread to vote for your POTM. I mean it’s Toth but have your say…🤦‍♂️
  15. Just reflects the shite in this squad.
  16. Another point for Sheffield Wednesday. Amazing how a team can be utterly annihilated by their owner and yet remain competitive in this division.
  17. Really hope Abeliousu is not out for the next game. We really need him. As soon as he went off we couldn't get out at all. Reckon Miller would be able to do it but for some reason its a legal requirement for one of our CBs to be right footed...
  18. Because he's not done his homework.
  19. I don't think Toth is useless every week, but he did have a stinker today. I slagged him off for the second Charlotn goal in particular, he should have saved it. But others then correctly pointed out that the defending was just as bad before the shot. Tavares stinking the place out so far and the Baradji signing has baffled me. When is he going to be fit? Because we're already playing ourselves into trouble so early in the season, he will basically have to hit the ground running when he is ready for selection. We're already carrying too many passengers in the current squad. Kargbo is so frustrating. Pace of Usain Bolt and the footballing ability of.. Usain Bolt.
  20. For all the skill and tactics in modern football, it so frequently comes down to effort and desire. Today we seemed to lack any of that. What’s more troubling is there was no improvement with changes, in fact the substitutes seemed to lower the effort level. If we’re without Carter and now Alebiosu the very predictable shortsightedness of the transfer window is going to come home to roost. And well before the busy festive period most expected.
  21. Sheffield Wednesday will go down, likely with a points deduction; Oxford are no great shakes so we need another team to stink it up. May just be fine I think we’ll scrape enough wins.
  22. Have to give some credit to Charlton in a poor game. They made the right changes, got Ismael sussed out and never looked worried. Why oh why he needs to change formation and tactics everytime we make a sub is beyond me, but today we needed like-for-like changes. Guess he’ll blame it on the injury to Alebiosu, but we needed Gudjohnsen to come on to complement the build-up play we had and not completly change the way we play the game.
  23. The team is massively different from last season, so that nulls last seasons comparison.
  24. Gardner-Hickman looked good against Ipswich in the middle. VI thinks, hey I know let's stick him at fullback. We pretty much played that game without fullbacks.
  25. Well yes. Something like that. We are not as bad as I expected and are likely to struggle but dead certs for relegation we are not and as usual people make dramatic apocalyptic predictions after a bad defeat. Please don’t mistake me for a happy clapper, I’m appalled at what the club has become but on the pitch I don’t think we’ve been terrible (until today).
