  1. Past hour
  2. I also thought they were thinking along these lines, but it's a serious risk. You're basically reliant on another club in the Prem/Champ/L1 being willing to loan you their 3/4th choice keeper. Even worse if the league says that Goddard's 6 games in Ireland count as senior matches.
  3. Central midfield is currently very weak. If Tronstad were to be injured we would be in dire straits..can you imagine a combo of Tavares and Montgomery…relegation written all over them . Alan Browne is a tough, experienced, intelligent player …I can only dream . Without him or similar before the close of play today ….were buggered .
  4. Striker and CM for me. With Morishita, Hedges, Karbo, De Neve and Alebiosu (surely capable of playing higher), think Rovers will probably be satisfied with that. Hendriksen or whatever he's called could also probably do a job there. CM we've got Tron, Tav, Mont, Forshaw and Baradji (not a clue when he's even going to be fit). Even one injury (particularly Tronstad) in there is a frightening thought. Need an experienced tough tackling CM for me.
  5. In old money it is now 13.37 on transfer deadline day. Nothing is going to happen is it?
  6. We went to this one last year - Rovers were unlucky to lose to a debatable penalty - and are thinking about it again But really what is the point? The team is weaker than last season, the manager looks like he is a dud, and the thought of another long journey home after another depressing defeat is too awful to contemplate Life is short and some of us haven’t long left. Time is better spent tidying up the garden, doing the chores, watching some local cricket, than supporting a bunch of no hopers. For a lifelong fan, I never thought it would come to this
  7. The Brighton Port Authority ft Dizzee Rascal and David Byrne - Toe Jam
  8. Conservative estimate, that....
  9. The laughable thing is , we know see Suhail stepping in and apparently stopping the Leonard transfer to Posh, as he wanted anther Β£200k. From what I am told, Gestede agreed it at Β£1m and Pasha blocked it. What a pity he didn't do something similar with Wharton, which is telling, given that he admitted, he didn't know how good, he was going to be.
  10. Fingers crossed the lads on duty come back unscathed
  11. Looking at wharton's injury record maybe 18 million wasn't that bad. He's done the same injury he did last season apparently
  12. A mixed bag of results there. Recent form suggests a draw or loss. Hoping Mori can start this one and see how long he can play for
  13. I don't imagine the club would divulge information like that in a public domain. But that being said, I don't think I've ever seen an official club photo where a cap is being worn by a player on every available image.
  14. My prediction for the day: 1 signing 2 sales 32 interactions between Chaddy and RF99
  15. If the rumoured fees are to be believed - not certain it has been cheap. Totally agree on the gamble bit though - Gestede and VI (and our season) will hinge on whether these gambles pay off or not - as there isn't enough experience in what remains of last year's team to keep us out of trouble if they don't at least partially pay off.
  16. No way are we buying 2 players in the next 10 hours. Id love to be wrong. Also, to rip up Pears' contract would just be pouring money down the drain. Have him as number 2.
  17. Agree and as much as pears started strong last year he's too unreliable for me. Silly mistakes, head in hands clearances, certainly had us peeping through our fingers at times.
  18. Prediction: In: none ('we tried') Out: Batty, Pears, Leonard Overall: 5/10 window. We are not stronger than before it started and are desperately light on Championship experience. Some interesting signings but we are in for a tough, tough season
  19. Expect a forward and centre midfielder in. Don't expect loans in. Think Pears contract will be terminate before the deadline. Leonard to Peterborough, Batty on loan, a couple of young players go out on loan. Something has clearly happened behind the scenes here and why he hasnt feature at all. Was that Hair Transplant story about Pears true?
  20. More direct football in lge 1 more physical stuff in the box so he'd need a very good defence in front of him. Everything else i agree he should be fine though i'd never rate him as good in the Champ he's bang average but a good number 2. If he stays he should be put back on the bench it makes no sense having a rookie on there whilst paying Pears probably 5 times as much for nothing. As others have said if he goes and we find ourselves in a relegation scrap with only the rookie as cover it's one of the stupidest things that's gone on at this club and that really is saying something.
  21. Pathetic if we don't sign anyone a decent centre mid is a must.Taveres hasnt been great and looks like he can't last more than 60 minutes and they don't know when Baradji will be fit to play This has been a shite window, ripping apart the team that finished 7th and nothing but cheap gambles as replacements Gestede ,Owen, Pasha and Venkys out
