  1. Past hour
  2. Many years ago my local rugby league club banned the Rochdale Observer RL reporter for similar reasons. He still attended - in a disguise ! False moustache, the lot.
  3. The club have well and truly shot themselves in the foot. How stupid! What was the X tweet that was taken down? And why was it taken down?
  4. Even during the Kean days when the LT literally called for Kean to go, they weren't banned. That's the level of pettiness we're dealing with here. The club basically admitting that they want the LT to only report good things about them. Good on the paper for calling it out directly.
  5. I've actually been expecting this for years now, always been under the impression the LET were afraid of it happening. The only surprising thing really is that its happened now when the stuff they post usually lacks substance and they're never particularly critical. Of course the reason it's happened now is down to 1 man and 1 man only, Rudy.
  6. Utterly disgusting and as Arbitro says, very Trumpian. These people are dragging the club through the sewer.
  7. What exactly was this social media post that Rovers objected to so much? and it sounds as though the club did have demands of the LT which were refused.. good on the LT/Jackson Regrettably, despite these efforts, the club has continued to encounter repeated issues with the newspaper’s conduct and reporting. This culminated in a recent social media post in which matters became personal – a line the club will not tolerate under any circumstances. Such actions directly undermine the assurances and commitments made during the meeting in Spain. Following further refusals from the Lancashire Telegraph to cooperate until an ‘amicable resolution’ could be reached on their terms, the club has been left with no alternative but to withdraw all media access with immediate effect.
  8. I wonder what will happen if you can't make the replay, due to it being held mid-week ?
  9. I wonder if the club had demands which would’ve prevented this ban. If so, the LT should publish them.
  10. This seems incredibly petty from the club and has Gestede and Pasha's grubby prints on it. It sounds like they wanted to 'buy' or control the Telegraph's reporting by inviting their reporter to travel with the team for the pre season training camp. The toys are well and truly out of the pram now. It's another new low from Rovers but in the bright side the uninformed idiots who lost on the LT website will be redundant. It's all very Trumpian.
  11. Get the Telegraph signed up to the coalition.
  12. Get the telegraph signed up to the coalition.
  13. Well I can't imagine this will end well for the club. Elliot has been fairly light touch in terms of criticism IMO. Presume its a mixture of Suhail and Gestede who've come to this conclusion, in which case I hope it massively backfires on both of them.
  14. I didn’t know the club still had values let alone ones which need protecting
  15. They should go in hard on the club now. In for a penny in for a pound.
  16. I'm at a loss to understand what has upset them so much, as local journos are always wary of getting on the wrong side of the club they report on. Having said that, there's nothing now to stop the Telegraph printing stuff they may otherwise not have done, let's wage war on the bastards and get them out
  17. This might be a good thing. Surely the Telegraph can report what they like about the club now?
  18. Received the shirt this afternoon. Blown away by the quality. You’d pay well over £100 if it had the little polo horse on it.
  19. And most fans thought the LT were treating the club exceptionally gently.
  20. Imagine the club having the brass neck to post this: ’the club considers inconsistent with the standards of professionalism, integrity and mutual respect’.
  21. Bad move from the club. Can't see many, even the happy clappers, seeing this as a smart or positive move
