  1. Past hour
  2. Remember when we were saying Rovers managers whose surname began with "I"
  3. You'd think so wouldn't you? That's how we made big money on Szmodics. Maybe as modest as they might be, the wage demands rule us out.
  4. I had to look twice when I read that post to make sure, it wasn’t a new account. It’s not but the post made is total nonsense.
  5. Aerosmith - I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing
  6. Or perhaps, exactly like the poster said, Pasha blocked the approach.
  7. Predictably both Norwich and Sheffield United make changes, bring in good managers and underperforming players start to haul them out of trouble. So down to the dross now. Us, Pompey, Oxford, Charlton and maybe WBA/Leicester if they continue to sink though I suspect both have enough quality to keep their heads above water.
  8. It's going to be the lamest stumble to the line in many a year. Out of the five sides realistically vying for the last two relegation spots - they have four wins between them in each of their last five games. Twenty five games! Portsmouth have two wins from the last five games Charlton have one Oxford have one Us and WBA have none. It wouldn't take much for one team to get out of trouble and if we sacked VI and got a bit of a bounce it could make all the difference. Still think we'll go unless we sack Ismael. Couldn't really pick the next worst out of that lot.
  9. It isn't difficult to work out.
  10. There are gems in the lower divisions. The lad that Ipswich are about to buy from Bristol (I think) came from L1 also. Based on how poor most of the Gestede foreign gambles have been, surely we could have picked up a few unpolished diamonds from L1/L2?
  11. Norwich are a far better side than us on that performance. Who are worse or as bad? Pompey? Oxford? WBA? We're down
  12. Gestede should be ashamed of himself
  13. I've said it a couple of times recently. If we drop this time round and are still owned by the Venkys this club will be down in the lower leagues for a generation, we won't bounce back. It will be proper dire stuff. Gates will be lower than they were on Saturday. When we're not in a promotion race and we're stuck in midtable L1 or worse, the novelty will wear off very quick. We'll be like Wigan. Sadly it might take that happening to get more people to boycott or protest against the owners. If relegation comes this season it will be catastrophic in the next few years for this club.
  14. That English referee was Welshman Clive Thomas, but your point stands
  15. WBAs form is as bad as ours, I wouldn’t be ruling them out yet. I doubt Leicester will end up in trouble but you never know where a bad managerial appointment might lead.
  16. Fantastic bit of detective work there M_B if I do say so myself. The art of deduction at its simplest
  17. We're doomed. Clubs around us picking up points and we have 2 home wins all season. And there's no way we're sacking VI. Genuinely think we have to start preparing for lge 1. And it's fully deserved sadly.
  18. 4 points clear of us with a much better goal difference. They won’t be in the mix whatsoever as many of us thought. Relegation gets more likely by the day. But don’t fear, Val still isn’t worried.
  19. Doesn't matter. Will be ripped apart in the summer when we're likely preparing for lge 1. Squad will look very different next season (even worse than our current squad)
  20. If the approach is true, then either they weren't serious about buying, or Venkys weren't for selling.
  21. Makama is tearing up the Championship with Norwich. He's a powerful central striker aged 21 signed for £1.2m from Lincoln at the beginning of August. Gestede should have been all over that earlier in the summer.
  22. 15 minutes to go, so hopefully I jinx it, but Norwich have turned a corner as predicted by many and will be leaving us in the dust shortly
  23. Norwich certainly not going down. It's now 2 from us, Oxford, Pompey, Charlton. I think WBA will have enough to claw away and Leicester have too much quality even though they will have a big points deduction. It's looking grim. We have by far the worst manager. Us and Oxford will be the two to drop imo.
  24. I’m sorry but this post makes absolutely no sense. Please feel to expand upon why relegating an English football club will make a global bank decide to write off loans in a different country secured on assets in that different country. Also, please explain the legal mechanics of how V’s will then go straight to liquidation (bankruptcy is for individuals not companies BTW) without bothering to go into administration & why/how that is beneficial for them? It’s really simple IMO…V’s have reduced the budget (probably at the suggestion of Suhail) & as wage bill & league position are closely correlated in football, the inevitable result ultimately will be relegation.
  25. Today
  26. Some very rich people don’t like wasting any part of their wealth. The Raos might be wired differently but it’s not because of how much money they have.
