  1. Past hour
  2. Fair enough but we did in 17/18 and 18/19.
  3. I know it doesn't fit the narrative, that's why it's never been considered. Playing well as a partnership means complementing each other.
  4. It'll certainly be interesting to see how old Keith does at Brentford. It'll look like a monumentally stupid decision if they go down, as they're in a position now where they'd be attractive to a range of decent, experienced managers. If they stay up and have an OK season then fair enough, it'll vindicate a process which - to be fair to them - has worked really well so far.
  5. That’s a plan from people who have no idea what brings success to a club. You need a solid squad irrespective of age. Promising youngsters should be introduced into a solid first team, not be its entire makeup.
  6. Arguably we’re now in my least enjoyable phase of being a Rovers fan under Venkys - it’s the moment when the Sky Sports Orange Ticker generation get total blinkers and start to totally ignore reality. Kargbo is Dolan’s replacement. He’s worse. Batth is our best centre half. None of our others are close, but Carters our next best option. We can bid for this Polish league CB as much as we want, they won’t sell him cheap and we won’t offer enough money or wages. Sidnei is nowhere near the quality of Travis or Tronstad. De Neve is a total unknown and a gamble. Every single player we sign is the cheap option. Because that’s what Venkys and Pasha do. There won’t be a significant upgrade in any department - because upgrades cost money. The more you try to justify or have false hope into these people the more upset you will end up being. You simply cannot bring success when the MO is to make savings. Improvement costs money.
  7. Honestly can't stand reading any more of thie shit on here. I'm done until the season starts
  8. 10K/WK ceiling, No contract offers with players already on more. Hyam, Tronstad, Travis. Bath the first of many. Ask Suhail. Cheap foreign imports and academy lads. Welcome to the future.
  9. has hyam ever been a leader???he`s been shocking with some centre back partnerships, remember the 0-5 battering at bristol city and the atroticious defending losing 2-3 at hull over christmas in jdt`s tenure
  10. Letting Baath leave is criminal. It just screams that they don’t know what they’re doing.
  11. Today
  12. Good point on partners, it's never considered that it may well have been Hyam bringing out the best in Batth, that wouldn't do.
  13. It's an undisclosed fee, right? I reckon they've just wilfully failed to correct the fee bandied around.
  14. I think the supercomputer is "sending a message to you Rudi" It must have hacked your transfer spreadsheet. https://www.givemesport.com/supercomputer-predicts-final-championship-table-soccer-football/?link_source=ta_first_comment&taid=685d597a5473740001fea197&fbclid=IwQ0xDSwLLwBlleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHivluP3IDEBljG2vOb3cAd6dfNBcmYmQD85f00Pi8D1hxmZPa-FxFZvYs-lS_aem_pCZC8X55xvi7DCDKBjLTgw
  15. Could we all wear Rovers shirts from down the ages (pre 15 years ago),.....could/does anyone know someone who could produce a Loons out stick on that could be stuck over the original sponsor and then you could wear something over it to get in then all reveal it at a given time?
  16. I actually thought Weimann would be a much more useful signing that Batth at the start of last season. I was wrong, although I'mn ot saying Weimann was poor, he did a job. Batth played more games than I expected and for the most part was excellent. I think it's a season too many for Weimann and he's creaking a bit, I'd be surprised if he manages more than 15 or so starts. Batth should have been kept, no question, he seems more robust
  17. I think the 135 / 15 years distinction is a good one. Also because it was only a week or so after our 135th anniversary that these awful people completed their takeover and their regime took the club hostage. So not only is November important as the anniversary of the clubs' founding 150 years ago but also the anniversary of its' darkest day 15 years ago.
  18. Brentford look likely to lose norgaard and mbeuno key players for them. Rookey manager looks like an ince situation.
  19. looks that way,if it is then it`s goodbye to travis, tronstadt and brittain, even if they run their deals down, they arn`t going to risk a broken leg or torn acl, negating their effect on the pitch, put your self in their position, why risk a serious injury when next season you are a free agent with a move to a more ambitious club and a better paypacket, one bad injury and your on the football scrapheap
  20. Becoming obvious the 10k/week ceiling is in place.
  21. soon as the promotion and relegation odds come out,im`e putting brentford in my acca,if they lose a few key players,it`s goodnight from them with keith the pointer in charge
  22. do you think they`ve really tried to spin the price with a shot of propaganda!!!!!nothing would surprise me about the vermin running the club,i think you could be right🥴,whatever the price,i have grave doubts about sidnei and the de neve
  23. Ha, ha, ha - god forbid he play's the team like he did for us!
  24. Who is the worst player you've ever seen? Cos Woodrow looked like he couldn't trap a bag of cement. Absolutely awful player who contributed nothing when we needed reinforcements in the worst way.
  25. The 135/15 thing is a great idea. Sadly I dont feel like there's anything to celebrate in our 150th year and that's the reason. I think that could be really effective.
