Pathways and projects. They can still be part of the squad without us just assuming that they are all ready. Some might go out on loan at various points too. All I am saying is we shouldnt just assume that they are ready. So for example, we need a right back if Brittain goes. We needed Tavares and will need to replace Travis/Tronstad if they go. Montgomery shouldnt be seen as a replacement in any of those positions. If hes ready, theres no reason that he cant also play minutes as well. But if hes not, then we dont have to still repeatedly flog him. Equally, we need cover for Cantwell. We shouldnt just assume that Tyjon is ready now. Its unfair to do so.

Complex how? He had know months he was leaving Rovers this summer so surely feelers were put to potential clubs and what his wage demands were but what Rovers were looking for terms for a fee?

We've been straight with FFP for a while and recently has probably been the best opportunity in a decade to invest in the squad significantly. Coupled with the good periods of form and league position at Christmas by not 1 not 2 but 3 previous head coaches the time was never better to give the club a real push but no they didn't want to know. Oh so conveniently they can't invest because there is a problem over in India of their own making. The FFP excuse might have stood up in the past but no any more.

So how do young players come through to first team squad then? Good job Adam Wharton pathway wasn't blocked by senior player isn't it. Why can't you have 25 man with Michalski, Montgomery and Tyjon part of that squad?

I think I will be in a minority but I think it's really nice. It gives some identity to the town.

We are nowhere near FFP limits. And pretty easy to say that we would be better off without Venkys.

How do young players get through to first team squad? How are they meant to develop and get used to first team tactic unless you play them and get them training with the first team like Ismael and JDT. So I take it you don't agree with Ismael creating a pathway for Tyjon to play and develop here?

FFP and they way the big boys have changed everything has destroyed so much. I agree that Venkys have been horrible owners in a lot of aspects, but it is impossible to say if we would be better off with other owners or the existing owners. I thought it looked alright in the flesh, to be fair. The green is infinitely better and I’m not a massive fan of the dark shades on the sleeves, but otherwise it’s alright. VI was present this morning and came across really well, to be fair. Seems open and honest, which is completely different to the last guy and his generic soundbites.

Rovers losses makes sense, I assumed you meant Venkys own business losses, and taking money out of the club, not putting it in. Commercial is the obvious one, aka overall income / turnover. Better management would improve that - I’m not sure it would be enough to put us into a position to have a lot more competitive salaries though.

Don't know much about the guy, but on the face of it this seems sensible. Decent age, plenty of champ experience, and by the sounds of it, £500k. Have to see how he does, like all players we sign, but it seems low risk and logical to me.
