Always miffed at him for that and not playing the Wharton brothers. At least they would have been fired up for it. - Today

Looks good? That he wont be fit until at best late November, but more likely well beyond that? Joke of a signing. Ismael has sold Carter down the river in the press today too. Yes his injuries do make him a waste of time but to be questioning him in that manner, the "open and honest" gang will love him but its really poor man management to say that in public. How about looking back at ourselves who have left us with only him as a right footed centre back. -

Not saying their new badge is better but a simple gold trim for the anniversary season is an obvious choice -

Not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but Kargbo was also suspended, also an update on Baradji "It's the same as last time, those who have played with the national team have played a lot but have no injuries. We had two players suspended (Kargbo and Gudjohnsen) so they came back earlier than normal which is good for us. "A couple will be back today and tomorrow so everyone will be available for the final session on Friday. "Some players have come back from an injury and got some minutes like Adam Forshaw, he played 45 minutes against Burnley which is good. “It’s good to have him back, but he is focused on himself and trying to get that stability now to train with consistency to be able to help us on and off the pitch. "Moussa Baradji is making progress as well. My expectation is he will be fit after the next international break. Hopefully, we will get the schedule right. It looks good at the minute, we assess week by week, and this is my expectation. "If you believe in a player, you see the quality, it's a question of time. In the long run, everyone will enjoy him. The fans and the club will enjoy him but he needs time to come back, adapt to the Championship and compete. "We will need everyone and it's our job to prepare him. For the others, we need to assess them still until the last minute." -

Boro celebrating their 150th next year, they’ve made a permanent change to the badge and introduced a version of it for the anniversary season https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/2025/october/16/middlesbrough-fc-s-new-crest/ -

He's a northern lad, isn't he? Surely he can't live that far from the training ground. Maybe the type of car he's driving? His diet / lifestyle? Hard to read any specifics from VI's comments, there. -
He named inferior players, one who isnt playing that much. Unless the reason was injury, he should be in the squad. Managers can make incorrect decisions. Obviously it didnt matter in this instance, we had 2 easy games.
-
Surely that would depend on the reasons first?
-
Whatever his reason, it was wrong.
-
May as well do it now. Personally I think the game is shit and boring with more than 3 substitutions. 'Competitive' games now are essentially just glorified friendlies.
-
Its a fair point but Anderson impress Tuchel in the under 21 tournament. Guehi is a top centre back. Would like to ask Tuchel why he isn't picking Wharton in the squad?

Nobody who has any shred of intelligence comes out with this stuff. Just brainless venky bots. -
Would that really suit Kane who need pace and runners around him? Who are your wing backs?
-
But Wharton isn't being picked, because there's so many good players ahead of him. To get past them he's going to have to move on to a bigger stage
-
Guehi is a regular playing for the same team and Anderson isnt at a bigger club so im not sure it is that.
-
For me Wharton, Rice and Anderson would be a great midfield three.. Rapid wingers, Kane up top with Palmer/Bellingham behind.. I'd play 3-5-2 to accommodate.

Fortunately for this regime we got low gates back in the 80s so they and their defenders can hide behind that one for a good while - simply pretend that everything that happened 1991-2012 was an aberration and abnormal and all we have now is 'normality'. Of course this overlooks a couple of big issues - like how come every other club in the League - who all also got significantly lower crowds in the 80s - are no longer at those levels and have increased their support significantly Surely if 'back to non-Premier League normal' was the way of it then the likes of Bolton, Preston, and many many others in the Championship and below would be back to 10,000 or less? Strange how they don't appear to be plagued by comparisons to a bygone era 40+ years ago. And also why people want to focus all their efforts on the late 70s and 80s when we had low gates....those people never want to focus on the century prior to that, when Rovers got far bigger crowds, nor the 30 years after that when Rovers got far bigger crowds, but instead obsess about what we got during a relatively short window in our history at a time when nationally crowds were suffering due to all manner of issues not restricted to Rovers - hooliganism, economic problems, dangerous grounds.
