Plastic squeaky chickens, clappers and flags placed on seats, first home sell out the league probably since Tom Finney was playing, fans flying in from all over, people saying they can't sleep. Tell us again it's not their cup final. Now if this was Rovers we know how the script would go and no doubt they'll celebrate like they've been promoted in November when they win but i'm quite sure this will be the one highlight of their season. If ever a set of fans was going over the top and deserved a massive pin in their balloon it's this lot. -

To enter tonight's game, do we have to print the tickets off at home? .. Or just put the phone on the scanner at the ground?? I have a few tickets on phone.. It's madness! -
I believe its on BBC IPlayer from 6pm Tyrone? But your point still stands, where was that advertised.... I didn't bother with TNT this morning, I haven't enjoyed the coverage in the past, so I stuck with TMS on BBC Rdaio 5 Live Sports Extra and enjoyed that.

They're all the same at work all grilling me on it all. I just said look lads, if your entire month has been about waiting for tonight then hats off to you but you've no idea what a pure rivalry looks and feels like. We do and it ain't you lot, you're just another team I'm afraid. Enjoy your cup final 🤣 -

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations
Mike Graham replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
As someone who used to represent the staff at National Museums Liverpool (NML) I am aware that the Liverpool FC Museum is part of the publicly funded museums in the city rather than being run and controlled by the football club. It is an effective partnership arrangement. If Rovers were to have done similar they would have had to ensure a Rovers museum was part of BwD museums in order to receive public funding. -

What has happened to the museum proposal? Why did the 2 lottery bids fail? Why do Rovers marketing bods and the Community Trust fail to do any activities or building support outside of the BwD borders? -
Nothing better than getting the Lars laugh.

Seemingly from the pictures on here one poor chap spent £90 on one. Looked like a crumpled old rag. Could end up becoming an extremely rare item indeed! -

Apparently the players are 'All fired up and ready' Except, of course, for those in key positions that have been instrumental in delivering unexpected results at Bristol, Leicester and against Southampton, specifically in goal and our back line. Old git feel about this is that we will leak goals like a teabag in boiling water, as the Preston cockwombles turn up the heat in that in yer face style beloved of Mr Scowlwhilstyouwank himself, Heckingbottom. Strange things happen in football, so I'm not going to complain if somehow Rovers conjour a positive result (draw or even nicking a win) but neither am I going to hold my breath whilst the tactical genius of our coaching team floats like magical cream over the scum of the North End Bovril. Unless there is something psychotropic in the pre-match orange squash in the home dressing room, I'm inclined to be expecting a sobering reverse this evening. Lillywhites loving life 3 Rovers rue-ing recent recurring regression 0 Knob End knocking one out 2 Rovers reacting remarkably robustly 2 Deepdale despair 1 Rovers Rocking Right Round Roman Road 3 Just as long as VI understands the importance of 'bragging rights' for those who live (or were born) in Bamber Bridge....* COYB! VENKY VANITY VAMOOSE! * I'm pretty sure he a) doesn't and b) doesn't give a toss -

Rovers's January transfer needs

That's what the Club claimed we spent on him to make them look good so they can't have it both ways and say "actually it wasn't £2m it was only a cheap punt" when he bombs. -

I just think Wharton is so important in that back line. We saw how when he was absent we didn't deal with Derby aerially. I dont know what Preston are like from set pieces, but I just can't see us winning. I'm certainly going there less confident than we have done for the last few seasons. -

I think we all know that £2m is a work of fiction. Maybe if we win the Premier League we might have to pay it. -

Haha, we went out of the cup in August, at the first hurdle. Montgomery was played out of position and had a nightmare, Michalski gifted them a goal and is 3rd choice anyway, and Tyjon huffed and puffed and hasn’t been seen since. Maybe we could consider Tavares as one of the U21s. He’s barely been seen since that game either. -
Todd Cantwell - is he off?
Lancaster Rover replied to ruggles1995's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Whilst Cantwell has performed better as an individual, I still maintain we have been a more cohesive unit with him not in the team. With him dropping so deep we can look unbalanced with he, TGH and Tronstad all wanting to occupy the same spaces. Add in we don't have any natural pace or width high up the pitch we often end up having a lot of the ball in areas that don't hurt the opposition. Cantwell is IMO so much better when higher up the pitch, the further forward we can get him the better IMO. I hate seeing him dropping in and receiving it from the CB's or where the full backs are.
