  1. Past hour
  2. Heaving in brig with brummie fans, they will have more than us on today
  3. Yep, the 16/17 team under any remotely decent manager would have stayed up. Even being saddled with Coyle until Feb we still only went down on GD and what I think was a record number of points for relegation? Close to, if not.
  4. I couldnt say the exact amount that we would need to pay. I just know that our inability to offer competitive contracts is decimating our squad of quality and sooner or later that leads to one thing and it isnt good.
  5. Strange that they have decided to use a central midfielder in Montgomery at rb in favour of Duru any idea why? Won't have seen as much of either player as you have but from what I have seen of Duru iv liked
  6. Doesn't their season finish in mid-October? What then? Returns to play in Under-21's or sell him to the American club. For me, if they want to loan him, why not look for a League One club?
  7. Hopefully he is.
  8. Nope, although I suppose its possible he may be with U21s on Monday? Especially if rumours are true that Mafoumbi has now been released
  9. Harvey Higgins isn't involved.
  10. U18s play Newcastle today at 12:30. Eze starts, Joseph on the bench score/update
  11. Quite a few 'consultants' who nobody ever sees or could put a face to a name i'd imagine. Alongside a few former employees still !
  12. All those would get into today’s team, no problem.
  13. Keeping Coyle till February is what did us, it wasn’t *that* bad a side, TM showed that. This time, it is looking like an increasingly poor team as more and more of the experienced pros feck off… and the VI factor (who I’m dubious of to say the least).
  14. I think that's genuinely our best option at the moment. Keep it tight at the back with 5 but with legs out wide that can hopefully push us up the pitch quickly on the break. Absolutely pointless playing attacking wingers when we don't have any. Two up front to give the CBs something to think about for a change. Middle of the pitch (Tronstad, Tavares, Cantwell) looks like our strongest area - at least on paper - so set the team up around them and hope we can play it about a bit.
  15. Would beg to differ! I don't think 'Burnley Bob' does owt for nowt!!!
  16. Like the team in 2016/17 season, and that one looks better than the one we currently have. We had the likes of Raya, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Conway and Graham back then.
  17. Indeed - would also love to see who else is on the payroll!!!
  18. Doubt Coar gets anything other than free hospitality and may be expenses he's nothing more than a 'guest' director isn't he ? Kept on in an invited capacity because of his FA links but no more than someone who is there to give an opinion on something if asked. Only time hes ever opened his mouth is to defend the regime and dig at fans.
  19. I was looking for a game to go to next Tuesday and saw Southport are playing Macclesfield so decided to get a ticket. Out of curiosity I had a quick look at the Southport squad and saw a number of ex Rovers. Their manager is Neil Danns and amongst their squad they have Dan Pike, Jordan Slew and Paul Murphy-Worrell.
  20. Absolute Gravy Train...no one will bite the Hand that feeds so generously.
  21. it says "loan" However, if it is a loan with a view to a permient, , then it seems a bad deal
  22. That would be a huge loss for me if it's a permanent move. I've watched Duru come through the academy and into the under-21's over the past few seasons. I view him as one of, if not the best young prospect we have in terms moving up to the first team. It's a sad day when our best youngsters continue to be sold before they get a chance of first team football.
  23. If Pashaa is not a director & therefore his remuneration is not covered in those figures, I wonder just how much of the rest of our wage bill he takes up? I wonder if the answer to that question may also show why our total wage bill remains fairly constant year on year despite repeated cuts to the playing staff
  24. What on earth is this club going to do in the summer of 2027 when 15 of the current squad will be out of contract. Realise a couple will have the kick the can down the road 12 month options, but still.
  25. Accounts to June 2024 showed directors total remuneration of £766k with the highest paid director (Waggott) accounting for £592k of that. Leaves £174k shared between Coar, Babu and Screenivasa Rao - I wonder just how much Coar gets paid for doing, IMO, not a lot!?!?!? Nice 'work' if you can get it!!!
