  1. Past hour
  2. "Hi Macron, we play in reversed blue and white halves" "Best we can offer you is a blue and white halved kit from the stock - otherwise there's an additional charge for such a bespoke design." "Thank you for your time, we'll be taking our business elsewhere"
  3. I was referring to the prestige of the clubs, I know it’s youth football.
  4. But he runs in treacle, stands on the ball then turns backwards so surely such an easy opponent even for a bunch of cloggers.
  5. Does the same argument not apply to wearing the new home kit? Anyway, should be great. Dark yellows v Light yellows. "Come on you burnt yellows!" All we need is for the trim to be maroon or claret to cap it off. Even if it's black I can never really remember us wearing a yellow and black trimmed shirt before. When we've had a yellow shirt the trim has usually been blue and rightly so.
  6. If it's true, as mr o'rourke is very hit n miss, i think it's a solid championship signing. Got plenty of experience which what we need.
  7. We love being advanced and actually doing nothing this window.
  8. It's called window dressing i don't think we've ever been 'linked' with so many since the windows involving Kean and co. We haven't announced a 50 million war chest yet it's 3 or 4 different players a day. Amazing stuff.
  9. I initially thought that myself but I can’t see him playing LOI seems there’s interest from EFL again though not what we β€˜should’ be after
  10. His latest trial was with Sligo Rovers - mix up with the Rovers' maybe? Way below our first team squad anyway.
  11. Richard Hawley - Standing At The Sky's Edge
  12. I doubt if there's ever been so much speculation on a topic without anyone knowing any of the relevant figures involved. Of course Rovers are bound to be offering him a fair deal and it must just be down to Dolan being greedy. Same as with Rothwell/Lenihan/Nyambe/Brereton/Brittain/Travis/Tronstad/Batth/ Weimannetc. We've obviously just got very unlucky. 10 times. (Edited)
  13. For a club which doesn't care about what it's fans think, you do seem to come up with a lot of ways that they're trying to make us feel better.
  14. Seems like marketing 101 to me (not often you can say that about this lot). A game on the day a new kit goes on sale, wear it. Who cares if we are at home, it’s. a. friendly.
  15. Do we open the club shop after match days? Wouldnt shock me if we showcased our new kit v Everton then the shop was closed after.
  16. More money this. More money that. Maybe, like JDT and Eustace, they just don't like the people running the club and don't want to be here. See Batth, Brittain, Weiman and I suspect the remaining contract expiree's A functioning club not run by idiots that are doing their best to get into the Premier League will be a big carrot for any championship regular at Ewood.
  17. All underage football it’s not the same thought well of in Ireland but one for the future we need something for now
  18. Looks on paper a really promising signing (if true)based on his recent clubs.
  19. Yes, easy to forget just how young COR still is (turning 22 in Oct), especially for a CB, and how much pro football he's already played for his age. Out of unnecessary curiosity, here's the trajectory of recent(ish) Rovers Academy CB grads: COR had a bit of a stunted (and to some extent unfortunate) year, but another year in L1 means he's only sort of behind the trajectories of Lenihan (who was more of a squad player, and still a MF/DF hybrid that year?) and Jack O'Connell (he was only a squad player with Brentford that year before becoming a L1 starter with Sheffield the next year). Otherwise, COR's on track with Carter and ahead of Wharton, Magloire, Anthony O'Connor, and Ryan Edwards (to pick out some less successful examples!) Definitely a crucial year for COR, but I wouldn't write him off just yet. Perhaps he's been 'found out' in training as hopeless at this level, but securing another L1 loan so quickly is still a positive sign. If reports are correct, we picked him off due to a low release clause (Β£500k?), which seems like a no brainer bet for a CB managing in the lower leagues at 18-19 years old (yes, can debate if that money was better spent on desperate short-term needs at the time...). It's possible the current sports hierarchy isn't as enamoured with him and he's probably on a high wage relative to someone coming straight out of the Academy (so, the bean counters may be keen to get his long-term contract off the books given he's signed until 2028), but presumably Doncaster are covering an ok chunk of his wages this year.
  20. So two teams in their away kit then? Brilliant! I've no idea why the FF didn't object to this in the strongest possible terms. To me it seems obvious our "prestige" home friendly should be used to showcase OUR new home kit. Sod Everton. Non controversial? Really?
  21. It’s rovers fits the current model big talk about him in Ireland but in no way shape or form should we have him as one of our first team signings - tyjon is the equivalent
  22. Neither would Dolan, which tells its own story.....
