I had been expecting Gueye to be sold almost immediately. Suggests that either the planning for the window was incomplete or everything has gone tits up on the plans they did have. Probably most realistic assessment is things had been planned but those plans are in the bin following the Pasha trip to Pune and we are signing Akron for £3m. -

Has anyone got a large collection of old Rovers VHS or DVD's? Anything from season reviews to the 'bring on the clarets' dvd, would like some pictures & stories around how they came about if possible. -

I've never known anything like our owners. £200m+ in debt. A rotting club (facilities, playing squad). Hated by the fans. Yet it's just a wall of silence from them. Why did we, of all clubs, have to be stuck with such an anomaly?

SO---Barnsley want £4M for their striker, Everton are reported to be offering £4M for Alebiosu. Is there a direct link here? Does the club enjoy being shafted? Are players not not brought in to build a side but to sell for a profit and that's all? - Today

Personally I don’t think an ‘official’ boycott is needed at all, but it’s out there now and if, and I think it is, the point of it is to get visuals and figures into the media as part of an overall campaign, then in my opinion a night game is preferable as the biggest bang for your buck - other club fan groups doing the same obviously pick said games for a reason.

It's about that all the time.

No pissing about at Celtic park, Nancy sacked after 8 games, unlike Ewood Park, Ismael still here with his dismal record. -

January 23/24/25 we had a very good shout of promotion/playoffs. The administration of our club ensured we fucked it. January 26, we’re hovering above the relegation zone, and have an even more appalling bunch of dickheds running the club. I have no hope we’ll stay up. -
I'm not sure any player has ever impressed me so much on their debut. Maybe Duff, who I distinctly remember thinking 'why the fuck has this lad been sat in the ressies?' Wharton was phenomenal that day against Blackpool, especially for an 18 year old. You knew right then he was going to the top.

REST EVERYONE. -
Some fans are not as smart as they think. There aren't many people who can afford to buy Blackburn Rovers and run it as badly as Venky's have, however, there are many that can afford to buy it and run it well. A key fact people overlook.

Nail on the head. Selling Hyam without a replacement that was even close to him undid everything. There are managers that would have resigned because of it. -

The problem is our CB options are horrible. You can’t play only 2 because any combination of them gets rinsed - hence why it’s 3 and perceived stability. We need a strong, first choice, quality CB this window and only then can you even think about playing 2 and trying to pick the least worst option from the rest to play alongside the new one. -
Will Jacks drops a dolly - go back to T20 with the rest of 'em They can't field, they can't bowl and they can't bat Send 'em home

Watched the first hour of day 3 so far, somehow. Absolutely awful bowling, as Jim has said above, it's been our Achilles heel this series, any decent batting performance (and there haven't been many) go down the pan when we can't be consistent. I'm watching via Fox network in Australia. They showed a startling graphic that around 29 of 250 deliveries in Australia's first innings so far, would hit the stumps. Everything else is too short or wide.

Which eyeballs and to what end? The local MP has lambasted them in the Mother of all Parliaments several times so I don’t think they are going to be bothered by a few social media posts. Awareness is only a relevant goal when lack of awareness in a specific target group is a barrier to success. Who would you want to become aware and how would you think they could helpfully act once they were aware? -
Just send him home!!

Given the club's message there (although I can't just rule out us not having checked on the situation) I presume he was left out as a precaution rather than being seriously injured. We will see what the situation is in the next round.

Wide scale adoption has numerous obstacles to overcome in terms of perception, as some of the discussions in this thread have shown. Governments should be doing nothing to disincentivise the transition. Yes they will still be cheaper to run, but it will be harder to persuade certain stubborn and in some cases easily misled parts of the population that it's the case with things like this. Plus frankly I don't want the hassle of it. Any changes to try to compensate for fuel duty dimishing should wait until over 50% of the population are driving EVs. Until then (and frankly, after) the money should come from the super rich. But that's a whole other debate.
