Thank god for the NIMBYs of the Ribble Valley taking a stand against the housing plan … as our fanbase wouldn’t have. -

It has already been pointed out by Rudy Gestede, that we should be very grateful to our owners that we have a team to support every other week. Hard to understand how we managed without them for 135 years really. -

So true. Remember how many people on Facebook, twitter, LET were applauding the club for trying that very thing with the whole training ground palava , all under 1 (smaller) roof approach. How anyone can claim to be a Rovers fan when they will blindly defend and advocate things like that. -

Surely they'll shut the whole thing down anyway---intentionally or otherwise? if they stay that is. I can't begin to imagine what the Club will look like after anther 15 seasons of their tender care. We'll be in Div 2 by then or out of the League altogether. -

The owners have absolutely no interest in Blackburn Rovers, none - the history, the heritage, the drive to operate at the very highest level they can, the 'community' of a football club half way round the world they haven't even bothered gracing with their presence for a decade, means what to them? So using the justification of yesterday; By transitioning into a lower tier, the club can continue to support competitive football in a structure that is community-based and financially viable In their minds why not for the club as a whole? -

It makes financial sense to shut the whole thing down and put houses on Ewood and Brockhall. I'm interested as to why some seem to think it is ok to slash in some areas because it saves money but stop short of going the whole hog. Basically it's because "I'm alright Jack" as long as there's a men's team at a reasonable level every other Saturday at Ewood nothing else bothers them. Be careful though...the same excuses and reasons for this could easily be transferred elsewhere to justify what they are up to. -

Ah in that case let's take the men's team to semi-pro too. The other common response seems to be "did you ever watch the women's team", in which case let's reduce our youth teams and under 23s as well. - Today

Read comments on the LT chat site yesterday. There were about 10 comments on this development and all of them approved it as a sensible decision! Losing money, low crowds etc. -

''The idea being to show & display that the fans remaining are the heart of the club and we aren’t going anywhere. Protests in the ground are absolute futile, so let’s spread love not hate for the white & blue 💙" Just what the feck is going on here? -
Thinking again of that game Waggy, we had no tickets we simply turned up on the day, paid in cash and sat in whatever stand suited us, surrounded by Everton supporters who never bothered us (possibly because we were outclassed!) Those were the days!

I think they look awful and are wholly a European / South American thing. -
For those fans joining me in the Riverside for the first time from other sections of the ground please have very low expectations of both amenities and atmosphere 🙂 If you like a pint at half time you have no chance of being served without missing half the first half. They man the kiosks with a single 15 year old who seems to change every week and has no idea how to pour beer or take payment. If you need a number 2 don't even bother the toilets are freezing with floors and paint peeling off the floor and walls. Also the hand dryers are from 1960 so hope you like wet hands in the middle of winter. If you have sat too near the front and it's windy you will be soaked, also mind the peeling paint all on the steps as it's super slippy. Also if you want to exit via the Darwen end they seem to now regularly close it so you have to walk all the way around the ground. Welcome to the shitshow!

We don’t have the same numbers or enthusiasm as Wednesday but if you’re willing to get something off the ground feel free. I’m just basing this on my own experience - there is little to no real support for a “protest” in the ground. If there was it would have happened already. Also they came out of the shadows in response to Glen’s work calling them out in the media. The “Pasha Out” banner was great but it came after this and was ultimately futile as the parasite is still there. “Support the team not the regime” would be a great message to have on a Tifo or Flag though. I just think the overall message needs to change from hating Venkys/Pasha to the fans being 100% committed to still supporting the club regardless of the chaos behind the scenes.
