This is supposedly a project. The reality is that it's a project to reduce costs for our billionaire owners and the club is being destroyed in the process. We are supposed to believe that they are signing younger, fitter and more dynamic players supposedly signed after close inspection of their performance data. VI is aligned with this and claims the squad is stronger than last season when we missed out on the playoffs by 1 point! It's all absolute nonsense! We have sold the heart of the team and we are left with young players and unproven cheap foreign imports. Mostly they try hard but they are not good enough and there is almost no leadership anywhere on the pitch. The fans knew this project would fail as it's clearly a recipe for disaster, but as usual we are treated with contempt. The cap on salaries below the going rate is what's killing us mostly as we will not pay our better players what they deserve and it turns out most of the players who command a L1 wage are of L1 standard. Whenever the main objective is to reduce costs failure will ultimately be the outcome. Our best hope of survival is hiring a pragmatist manager like Rowett who will drill the players to play basic no nonsense football and scrape together the points needed. When you consider the the last manager of that ilk (Eustace) was not supported because he stood up for his players who were not being given new contracts, the chances of their being anyone in our ranks who has the wisdom to see this is highly unlikely. Im not even sure Rowett would be willing to take the Job. We are toast. -

I think he's referring to Jackson quoting Ismael who used the F-bomb in his post match presser when talking about players missing due to injuries. -

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

I would buy it if we weren't tragically bad with those players as well. We are disorganised at the back, seemingly have no coached way of moving past the halfway line, do nothing to protect our players, don't use subs even to save some legs. In addition, a school team could put together better set pieces than our so called expert in charge. Even with our strongest team we rarely get more than a couple of shots on target. Val has no passion and puts in little to no effort to help the team. He's an excuse merchant who takes no accountability and the sooner I don't have to watch him sulk in his chair on the sidelines the better. -

I suspect he doesn't trust having only two centre backs because what's available to him is either shite(Mcloughlin/Cashin) or very inexperienced. -

Not even if it makes you look like doing what 'the fans' want and showing that you 'care' for the club. No better way of switching things around so you can blame the fans for not supporting the new manager. -

I’ve never known a manager have so many excuses. If it’s not working try something new you moron instead rolling out the same shite each game and sitting there with your arms folded. It’s called being a football manager. -
You are 100% right. If an offer came in for Cantwell, he should be sold. No place for a show pony when you are in a relegation scrap. Has had a few good games early on and that’s it. Tronstad as captain for me. He should have taken over from Travis, but imagine Gestede blocked it because of his contract.

Sacking another manager is just a side show, VI isn’t the problem, John Eustace wasn’t problem, JDT either….. Sacking a manager buys the 2 morons in JW directors box time and the 3 stooges in Pune time. VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. -

I don’t think Val will be sacked before Saturday. If you run the club you don’t want a new manager to start with a fan boycott, even a caretaker. -
