Imo Waggot was a bit dodgy in that classic slippery football suited kind of way and he himself was over promoted ending up as CEO here. However he had a set way of working and stuck to it and i think that has played a huge role in holding this club back and simply refusing to step up a gear or take the odd calculated gamble. That being said though he also kept it competitive, steady and in business whilst at least being an official challenger to the pillock in the shadows preventing him from doing everything as he pleased. I've thought for a while these proceedings were fairly irrelevant from our point of view and it only affected how much it was costing the owners to fund us. However with the last minute sale of Hyam and no replacement, Im wondering just how near the knuckle we actually are in terms of immediate cash flow etc. The Hyam move went through so quickly and unexpectedly that it seems to me as though we must have been touting him about to Clubs in the last 48 -72 hours of the window desperately trying to shift him, and got a bite from Wrexham.

I don't think we can - we have three CBs (McLoughlin, Carter, Wharton) and two 'full backs that can play there' (Miller, Pickering). If we're training and drilling three at the back and there's an injury or suspension, we're immediately playing a player out of position.

It's a big assumption. Spent practically his whole career in the Midlands or further south.

I'm not confident saying we've drastically regressed until I've seen the players actually play.
