  1. Past hour
  2. He runs the club like he does. I am very confident he won't be getting the keep our name out of the papers bonus this time!
  3. I wouldn’t be completely surprised if he gets a percentage of any savings he makes.
  4. Just be grateful, be quiet, & get behind the lads & lasses ffs! 😉
  5. From ‘Think Big’ to a voluntary relegation to ‘community’ (i.e amateur) leagues to save a few hundred grand.
  6. Just to be clear… I think the judge proposed reducing the bond to 50% but I’m not certain. I don’t believe this reduction was put in place, rather both sides were sent away to see if their clients would be agreeable to this. People were talking over each other and some had very strong accents so I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve misheard some parts of the hearing. No sign of the written order yet.
  7. "In a structure that is community based" What does that actually mean other than small time operation? What is this obsession with "community" they have down there other than it excuses them thinking small every time?
  8. Exactly. The principle applies equally to all other aspects of the operation including the men's team. Only they won't be so blatant about it with the men, the end result will inevitably be the same, ending up at a lower level on a permanent basis because it is easier and cheaper for this lot to handle.
  9. Scum owners, scum board of directors. NAPM.
  10. Feel incredibly sad for the girls and those behind the scenes that have grafted so hard to build their status for all to be removed in an instant. A truly embarrassing time
  11. Today
  12. A scrambled goal by David Goodwille on the way to relegation a fitting conclusion to our gracing of Goodison Park.
  13. Look on the bright side, it isn't all bad, that saving will do wonders for Waggott trying to hit his target and qualify for his bonus next year.
  14. An extension option is very rarely up to the player. They're usually purely for the club to decide whether to activate, and have been here in every single case I'm aware of.
  15. Miller, do you have a link to an article or any other evidence regarding the starting date of the investigation (year is fine) or the NOC? Thanks
  16. Absolutely. The irony "You didn't turn up"... what like the owners for the past 15 years? The club's a commercial disaster. That won't change until new owners come in.
  17. Yesterday
  18. The manner in which funding mysteriously just dried up as soon as they were under investigation leads me to believe that they were always doing something nefarious financially with the club. That's not to say they ever actually funded the club properly, they just had no problems with spaffing 15m on losses that could have easily been avoided by just running the club properly. When the investigation started in 2021 we saw an end to the lucrative contracts being handed out left right and centre (with lots of juicy commissions for agents) and saw a move to allowing contracts to expire when they became too expensive and the fire sale of everything that isn't nailed down. The downgrade of the women's team is the latest of these actions. Although I don't believe that the financial element was 100% the reason for them buying the club in the first place, I'd hazard a guess and say it was a big part of their reason for the purchase. The othere three venktards would have needed to see some benefit to the purchase beyond fat baz wanting a new thing to flex in public. I'd say an overseas business woth turnover in the millions that can make huge losses without drawing much if any scrutiny could be deemed quite handy to a multi billion pound corporation looking to skirt some rules on regulations.
  19. Mate his article is frustrating Makes no sense. It's not even readable. So we have not extended forshaw ? The article suggests we will make a decision later but then says we aren't retaining him
  20. They never bought Rovers as a stand alone business set apart from their main industry---chickens! That leads me to believe that it was always a means of writing off losses and not costing Venkys much in real terms. The problem is that their incompetence has created losses far bigger than expected.
  21. Yes. They're quibbling over £600k, which tells you how miniscule the budget will be this summer for the men's team. I genuinely don't know what the Rovers fan base has done to earn such vile owners.
  22. One sure outcome--the fans will get the blame for Rovers inability to pay decent wages of transer fees.
  23. How many could they get on the Riverside Terrace back then?
