Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Guy N. Cognito replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I hope there's nobody after 15 years who still believes we operate like a normal football club. Kean was allowed to take us out of the top flight because the owners liked him and he toed the party line, ultimately resigning while the going was good. As long as Ismael says the right things, he'll be safe. Rudy won't want him sacked, because he might carry the can. The only way I could see him gone is if Pasha throws Rudy under the bus. Either way, I think the owners would prefer to gamble on League One status rather than paying off a two year deal. And Ismael won't resign because few modern managers do, not to mention he won't have many takers after this. -

I thjlink you're being incredibly optimistic considering the last two mamagers have basically had to beg to leave. -

I asked something similar at the weekend and it's crossing my mind again. Transfer window about to close with only one proper signing, next game is set for a fan boycott, now might be the perfect time to pot him from the regime's point of view. -

How bad is T G-H??!! His pass completion rate is below abysmal. I just don't understand how he's playing at this level. -

Certainly looked like that didn't it. I turned it back on just to see reactions. That was just cold walking away so much that he had to be chased and pulled on the arm to shake hands by the swans manager. Looked like that was it -

I agree Jørgensen look a bit lightweight but I liked that he on a few occasions ran back to lay the ball off. That was class. -

Cannot recall ever seeing a player so consistently out of his depth as to be subterranean. -

The only reason it keeps coming back up is because people like you keep questioning me on it. I haven't said that Mercer has done anything wrong and indeed said fair play to him for knowing that someone had signed. -

If anybody in the management team or coaching team is confident of staying up, I call them a liar. I don't believe we have enough quality, fit and up for the fight players, and I 100% don't believe the coaching team can change anything. -
When he first took over, I made a big point that he stands on the touchline clueless. Nothing has changed nearly a year on. Last season we had Travis and he made all the difference. He was a proper captain on the pitch and could motivate the players around him, despite the manager stood there in a trance. When Travis was out, we struggled. McLoughlin and Cantwell can’t do it. There is no leadership at all.

He threw that game tonight he should be sacked before he boards the coach but he won't be. Reason being they are yet again putting playing youth before results the very policy that nearly had us down in under JDT but Waggot railed against it. So they bring Gestede in to not rock the boat and as i said that line up tonight, thrown game. Those trying to play the super fans v Watford are complicit with this shite and you are having the piss taken out of you by this lot. -

Pathetic, pitiful display yet again. Tronstad was the only player for us that resembled a Championship standard player. Nice to see Jorgensen score but I didnt see the quick forward that was suggested. Very slow and very weak, constantly losing the ball. Baradji an absolute liability again, constantly losing the ball and not someone you want in the trenches with you, bone idle. Ohashi again nowhere near good enough. O'Riordan miles away from the standard. Gardner Hickman and McLoughlin again showed why they had become surplus to requirements at previous clubs. Powell with a nice assist but physically isnt ready to compete with Championship players. Doherty anonymous. Not fair to keep throwing all of these kids together. -

It’s a very poor set of players, with and even worse manager. A recipe for disaster and it’s plain to see even for those with the rosiest tinted glasses. surely Thats it now and he either steps down or is sacked. He looked dejected at the end. -

I would say Trondstad would be the best leader but with him leaving there are not much left.
