  1. Past hour
  2. Either of those would be a decent level (if true of course)
  3. We genuinely can't have Hedges Mr 1 goal all season as a winger, start this season
  4. Forson would make sense over someone like Afolayan too. Forson only started one game all season for Monza last season. The club want someone to come in as back up to Hedges and be a "20/30 minute" player on that side much like Kargbo is on the other. He also isn't particularly quick I don't think, decent over the first 10 yards like ACD or Dolan but not a sprinter like Kargbo. I'm guessing he would jump at that squad role, where as someone experienced would want to be a starter.
  5. Haven't we been linked with Omari Forson before?! @callumrovers usually you hear some things, is this what you've heard?
  6. Most seasons under Venkys actually except for when Mowbray splurged on Gally and BBD
  7. So deadline for Henriksson to be in the squad for WBA getting ever closer. Any bets on the Premier League loans supposedly in process?
  8. Old rumour, the same journalist who first reported the Henriksson deal said that we enquired for Rosler but Malmo don't want to sell this summer. Could definitely see us revisiting that one next summer to replace Hyam. I believe this is the case, similar to Taveres who qualified for these reasons and didn't need a ESC spot. Yeah I saw that he said he was experienced and " a few quid". He doesn't know why it hasn't progressed. I can tell you Alan, it's all in you're words. Saw someone mention Dapo Afolayan, ex Bolton playing for St Pauli. 28 next month and one year left on his contract, wouldn't need a ESC spot either. Can't see us spending "a few quid" in general on one signing, but certainly don't see it on a near 28 year old winger. Someone like this seems much more likely to me, hardly played a professional game and on a long contract so could see a "loan to buy" deal or something.
  9. If only we still had our best crosser of the ball!
  10. they could really do with someone who can deliver a decent dead ball
  11. With the exception of De Neve at 5'11" (still quite tall for a winger), all of our signings are at least 6'2", including Henriksson if he joins. I'm sure that's not a coincidence. Expecting a very physical style of play next season!
  12. Brackley have replaced Morecambe in the National League Cup as announced on July 30th. Rovers are playing them next Tuesday. No mention of this on any Rovers social media.
  13. Bay City Rollers - Roxy Lady
  14. I have been impressed with how quickly we moved to JEs successor in VI. I am less then impressed by our lack of efforts or ability to tie down important first team members in new contracts. We donโ€™t know the circumstances, but it seems as though we are keeping a very tight wage structure. This makes sense, but is very frustrating for us supporters. I donโ€™t buy in to the mass exodus and it is always going to be a sell and buy industry. Lots of less than impressed supporters losing their favorite players every season. Transfers dragging out. Even well-run clubs like Brentford are facing those challenges. If I was in charge and somebody showed me the ยซresultยป of the last contract renewal which was so important to tie down; Bucko, Garrett etc I would question and be hesitant.
  15. Wait for the usual suspect to tell us that couldnโ€™t possibly improve gates here because half a dozen folk on brfcs say they are boycotting.
  16. That's what trying looks like. Our lot can't be assed.
  17. Bolton play their first home game against Plymouth on Saturday. So far they have sold over 20000 tickets. We won't get that many on in our first game against Birmingham despite them potentially bringing 7000. Let that sink in. https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/over-20000-sold-back-steven-lads-weekend
  18. I genuinely think the administration at the club, as long as they hit their financial targets, they aren't bothered.
  19. If the ultimate goal is to get Rovers back to the PL then I think it's pretty clear there is no plan: Do Rovers have direction: No Do Rovers have a focus: No Do Rovers have a clear path to achieve its ultimate goal: No Without a clear plan, players, coaching staff and other employees can become demotivated, disillusioned and morale suffers - what better examples than JDT and Eustace and how long before Ismael snaps !? All I see is a club failing to protect and secure its playing assets and an ongoing degradation of the club as a whole. 'Wing Commanders' Pasha and Gestede - IMO, just versed in the art of 'winging it', and 'winging it' poorly!
  20. The meetings need audio/video recording and publishing in real time or soon after the event.
  21. Today
  22. Just one further thing to add. Sometimes it only takes one person โ€˜sticking their head above the trenchesโ€™ for others to then follow. Maybe this is whatโ€™s happened here.
  23. It'll all go wrong at some point and we'll end up in League One. I do think we'll have enough this year though, 12th-15th would be my bet.
  24. Blackpool under the Oystons and Accy Stanley under their pre-Holt ownership used to basically sign a new squad every summer as their previous group were released/sold off to clubs with ambition/loans returned. Not sustainable and not a plan but they probably signed more players than anyone else, a direct result of the short term approach they selected in a bid to minimise costs. It involves taking an almighty gamble with league status every year in the hope those signed are good enough to avoid relegation. I think Chaddy and others would have loved supporting either of those clubs as they could spend every summer excitedly discussing what signings were coming whilst proven players rushed for the exit door. If you think that 'model' is sustainable or acceptable for this club or division you're wrong. Those most qualified - Mowbray, JDT, Eustace - knew this which is why they aren't here any more.
