  1. Past hour
  2. They are populating every post on the Rovers Facebook page.
  3. Nonsense. All because of an abandoned fixture. They may have some numpties posting twaddle on their forum but in general they are a good bunch. Nothing to see here.
  4. It is what it is fellas! Wasting your time bleating about the rights on wrongs on here as nowt will change. How about we turn our sour attitudes into a positive one and beat the tractor boys in the rearranged fixture. Most on here seem to think we will get beat. On what evidence? From my perspective, I've yet to see a stand out team. May be Norwich but they are a one man team in Sergeant. Christ almighty.. Get some perspective and grow up. It is what it is.
  5. Pretty obvious watching the EFL highlights the there was widespread rain that day but other clubs played on without difficulty. Quite clear that Ewood has a particular problem which the club has ignored and just hoped for the best. That could cost us 3 valuable points this season and who knows how important that could be? Rovers should be announcing that its calling in experts to engineer a lasting solution to a long-standing problem but the club is silent on this matter thus far. Going to continue flying by the seat of your pants are we? One thing is for sure, we won't get away with it next time we are the only club who can't complete a fixture. Fix now or get big fines?
  6. One surprising aspect of this whole sorry saga is what a shocking bunch Ipswich fans are. I've known a few over the years and they've always seemed decent grounded folk. Years ago when Rovers and Ipswich were in the PL they were always a decent humble bunch. So I was happy when they got promoted last year and hoped they'd stay up. A year in the PL has turned them into Man Utd fans from the 90's but without the trophy cabinet to back it up.
  7. if There's 4000 wanting to come Rovers will always make them available. Looks like our attendances will be up this year because of well-supported away fans. Does the club care? One;y about the money.
  8. Today
  9. Something, something, fit and proper owners.
  10. I believe if we can't come to an agreement on the date, the EFL decide for us - and we have three open midweek slots before Christmas.
  11. The rules. The minimum they can be given is 2,000.
  12. Especially when number 6 was traditionally a central defender and they're talking about holding midfielders. What pisses me off the most is that this bullshit hipster terminology is just describing something that already existed and had a name. Pressing - Closing down Low block - sitting back Number 6 - Holding midfielder Number 8 - Attacking midfielder There's many more that are even more infuriating. Some of them make sense, like when someone says 'transition' I get what they're on about but some of them are just complete shite. The thing that makes the new age hipster terminology so intolerable is that it comes with an air of smugness and condensation as though you're some kind of neanderthal because you don't know what the fuck these pricks are on about when they're talking about a double pivot or some other bollocks. Especially when these cretins don't even know what skinning a fullback is. All this talk of philosophy as well. Fuck off. The only philosophy in football is to win the game. Anything else is just a piss poor way of coaches covering up their own ineptitude. We've had years of this ahit now and the game is the most boring and turgid it's ever been. Bring back the days of sending it down the channels and banging it into the box.
  13. what's to stop the club not giving them any tickets for the replay? it's bad enough that they were given 4000 for this one.
  14. My point is that they havent made the decision to spite our club or to favour Ipswich. Or to appease McKenna. Historical cases have in the main had the same outcome. You could argue that the precedent is flawed because each case was different in terms of the timing of the abandonment and the state of the game, and its the easy option. But I dont think this idea that they hate us or that it would have been different if the score was the other way round is anything other than unfounded bitterness and frustration manifesting into unreasonable conclusions.
  15. Would have been interesting had Ipswich been 1-0 up and us down to 10 men. Would they have been so keen to come off the pitch and support the referee’s and subsequent EFL’s decision?
  16. Well of course that is true. But replaying the whole game makes the outcome even less certain than it was at the point the game was abandoned! It isn’t logic!
  17. Say what you want but this makes 0 sense to me. What if the score was 3-0 or 4-0 would we still need to replay the match in full?
  18. There is no comparable. They have ultimate flexibility to consider circumstances and they should be prioritising fairness and transparency. The decision and EFL have been found sadly lacking.
  19. Im not buying this idea that we have been hard done by because of the club we are, as if Ipswich hold power as if they are a massive club who can swing favours from the FA. Totally get why people are frustrated because its a shit situation. But this decision would have been made either way and we dont need a woe is me act. This tends to be how similar situations have been dealt with in the past.
  20. It doesn't make any sense. It is in no way fair on Rovers and is completely bias towards Ipswich given the circumstances.
  21. The Who - The Kids Are Alright
  22. Good points, although as I said earlier, any compensation we might eventually receive would only head one way, which is fair enough as no-one ever told the owners that ownership of a football club is a costly business, and doesn't guarantee a European brand boost. This wasn't made clear enough to the poor Venky's when the PL was rushing to rubberstamp the fit n proper owner (and agent) credentials. Bless..
  23. Julia Jacklin - Don't Let the Kids Win
  24. Glen, the Coalition and WATR are silent and have been for weeks. Something must be brewing 🧐
  25. I agree. The decision and the laughable explanation make the EFL look corrupt, spineless, and utterly devoid of integrity.
  26. If I were at the club I would be demanding an explanation from the EFL about why the fairest outcome was so impossible to sanction? The EFL statement suggests they’ve ‘comprehensively’ considered all the options and made their decision in order to ‘maintain the integrity of the league’. I would say awarding us the 3 points would be the least fair option followed by the full replay 11v11. Clearly the fairest option would be to play out the remaining minutes 11v10. Surely the fairest option upholds integrity the most? So if they have considered the options ‘comprehensively’ what is it that makes the part replay so impossible to do?
