  1. Past hour
  2. I don't see the strikers taking them if they do. Some of the approach play last night was good but the finishing was crap.
  3. When Travis inevitably leaves, that'll be 1,442 Championship appearances out of the door this summer. Last season alone, 211 Champ appearances. So far that has been replaced by 117 Championship appearances (all McLoughlin). You can't lose that vast level of experience and expect to have even a half-decent season. Alarm bells are ringing, and Saturday already feels like a big moment in the season really.
  4. Why would a battering to heavily fancied Birmingham make a considerable difference to media spotlight? They dont seem that arsed about whats going on at Wednesday. Even if we lose comfortably and there are a few chants, it wont make any difference in the media.
  5. Iโ€™m the same but willing to give him a chance considering what he has to work with here itโ€™s a hard gig but a Barnsley fan saying that is crazy
  6. Im not convinced by him. But its astounding how Barnsley fans who saw him take them to 5th think hes shit.
  7. Last night was disappointing from Ismael. I really thought we should have made changes at half time (despite scoring just before) along with a change of shape. I felt we should have gone to a back three and got our wing backs really pushing forward as we just didn't hurt them from wide positions. Pickering and Montgomery hardly got forward at all. The disappointment for me was that Ismael didn't do anything and when he did later on we looked all over the place with too many square pegs in round holes. Last season when we went a goal in front his changes invariably were to make us more solid defensively to hold on for the win. Going behind presents him with a situation I really think he struggles with. At 2-0 down yesterday he was bringing everyone back for Bradford's corners and set pieces. I found that infuriating but in fairness the last four Rovers managers have done this. It's almost like he is conditioned and finds a reluctance to do something different during the actual game.
  8. We need someone comfortably better than those two rather than "competition". I like Yuki as an impact sub but Gueye is awful.
  9. It says "they aim to bolster the attack", it means "right winger "(as per Ismael at the weekend, stiker is not mentioned ๐Ÿ˜ž
  10. The most comfortable away game of the season for Brum. 2 up at least by half time while we struggle to get anywhere near there area. Rovers 0 Birmingham 3 Rovers first effort on target in the 80th minute.
  11. I think i originally had de neve next to him
  12. Making the mistake of thinking the playing side is the priority here. Michalski and Montgomery are probably at least 80% cheaper than Pears and Buckley. That is the answer to why those two are favoured.
  13. TBH, an absolute battering will give Pasha, Gestede and Ismael nothing to hide behind and the wider media might just start to take note of what is really happening at Rovers. It's time the fans turned big time on the club and it's powers that be - Saturday would be a fine time to start should the expected battering materialize.
  14. Ismael has one more transfer target, a striker according to the LT. We should have moved for a striker 6 weeks ago, it would give Ohashi and Gueye competition.
  15. Think the manager deserves a run of games before the jury is out on him when JDT went through his bad patch it was because of no squad depth injuries je he over Xmas and new year 2 wins in 11 was because of injuries and squad depth look at what Val is working with here I think he deserves some grace for a period of time
  16. Sadly there is nothing left that they would actually want, as they are building a football team.
  17. 3-0 Brum will do a lineup in a bit. Lost all care for it to be honest. None of em play for the badge, surprised they're even here for the money!
  18. Aye, but they don't play in the famous blue and white shirts and aren't based at Ewood Park. Therefore they aren't Blackburn Rovers, and don't deserve your support. Isn't it horrible when a crime is perpetated right in front of your eyes, in graphic detail and in the light of day, yet you are powerless to do anything about it? As Rovers fans, we are the football equivalent of someone with Locked In syndrome. Yet there they are, plain as day and completely unchallenged - the Venky BASTARDS and their BASTARD STOOGES ๐Ÿ˜ž VENKYS OUT! VENKY HENCHMEN AND STOOGES OUT!
  19. Travis after moving to Derby, let's make it easier for eustace, send the all fucking team there.
  20. Terrible manager. One good season during the COVID season. Barnsley supporting mates even think he's shit regardless of the one COVID season
  21. Toth Abeliosu. Hyam. Mclouglin. Ribeiro Tronstad. Tavares Henriksen. Cantwell. Kargbo Ohashi Subs: Pears, Wharton, miller, Pickering, Buckley, Hedges, tyjon, De Neve, Gueye.
  22. Owners to Pasha/Gestede: we want the club to be self-sustainable by increasing academy minutes and sell them later on for big money like with A. Wharton. We wont support the club with additional funds on the transfer market; you will have to generate it on your own with player sales and salary cuts. Gestede to Ismael: you need to start playing our youngsters. There will be an incentive strucure in place with bonuses paid out if we reach our target (3 000 minutes per season). Ismael to Gestede after cup exit: this is the current level of our academy players. As you can see, they aren't good enough to even compete with a newly-promoted L1 side who fielded six reserve players themselves for the tie. If we play these in the Championship, our standards will drop considerably and we'll struggle to pick up points in the matches. Can we please go back to recruiting players that we need to strengthen the squad? You know, 'Allez les bleus' and so on.
  23. Haven't lost at home to them since 2013, and we've often given them a good hiding at Ewood looking at the OP. Oh how that's drastically going to change... 0-4 Birmingham, if we're lucky. Will be surprised if we register more than 2 shots on target. For what it's worth, i'd go with this lineup;
  24. It'll be interesting to see how 'busy' the BBE end is after ST hikes and ยฃ35 match tickets in there just so they can fleece the Brum lot.
  25. I was having the same thought - they have more Rovers players than Rovers do at this stage.
