  1. Past hour
  2. The two I ordered have arrived. I won't be back in the UK to try mine on, until the middle of October, but my son has the one I bought him for his 35th Birthday and is over the moon with it. I daren't do a Madon and post a picture of myself in it, but will report on it, which I am sure will be a complimentary one. Great that we can by stuff and know the clowns supposedly running the show at Ewood get nothing out if it.

  4. Preview of tonight's game, apparently Goddard is injured and Forshaw may play https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/september/29/preview--leicester-city-under-21s-v-rovers-under-21s/
  5. Its hard to gauge how he is perceived overall. He obviously wasnt well received at first but he seemed to charm quite a few over the summer based on what he said. He was "aligned" with this "project" of bringing in players who are already materialising in the main to be a huge downgrade and some seemed to be fooled by it. I think his record is 6 wins, 3 draws and 10 defeats. He is a poor manager happy to do as he is told and blame everyone else but the club and as such will be here for the duration.
  6. Agreed, very telling. Not just a reflection on the manager either, clearly hadn't bought into the whole squad rebuild and would rather play his football elsewhere. A decision easily vindicated by the fact we're in a relegation battle and he, for now at least, is top of the league.
  7. Don’t rock the boat is the only thing he needs to abide by. Results and performances are secondary by some distance.
  8. Belated and brief review of the 12 course taster menu at “ The French “ at “The Midland Hotel “ in Manchester. We were led to a private room at the side of the main lounge. The room would probably seat about 40 people. Most of the other diners were couples. It was nicely quiet with some smooth jazz playing in the background. The four of us were seated in a horse shoe shaped sitting area. Not particularly comfortable with our legs sort of colliding in the middle. Each course was brought to your table and described in detail by the particular chief that created it. All beautifully presented and set out. Every dish was possibly about two or three mouthfuls. The pudding was especially delicious. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. After sitting down at 7-30pm we finally left the Midland at just after 11.00 pm. So it’s a full evening of a job. I really enjoyed the evening and I wasn’t bloated at the end. However according to my wife the price of the 12 course taster meal is around £180 per head ! Plus drinks plus tip of course.
  9. Kids are cheaper, on and off the field and are likely to have never seen it done properly before. Therefore can look up to the likes of Gestede and he can say whatever he wants.
  10. I console myself, with knowing that the people I have got to know, through attending matches and also their love for the club, are still in my view, what the club, is all about and not the people running it, who are in it for nothing other than selfish reasons. Let's face it, one of the major decision makers, has refused to play for the club and now stand accused of being a bully around the place and the other has links to the agents, who seem to have made off with millions. They will be gone one day and the sooner the better.
  11. Just imagine the remuneration he has banked for generally being a failure...great if you can get the gig.
  12. Brittain's exit was telling on the manager front, had worked with him previously and was still desperate to join Rob Edward's side after a phone call. He absolutely has to start getting more wins but I'm not sure it's what he's being measured on. In fact I'm not sure he's being measured on anything at this moment in time.
  13. We have a tee shirt to give away also… Sign up today for just £1.99 to have a chance to win…👍
  14. They shouldn't settle for anything. Everton were punished within the rules if I recall.
  15. Good article, but I suspect it will be a relegation place that the 3 points could cost us, not a top 6 or promotion spot.
  16. Yep. Trying for £50m. Finance expert Stefan Borson expects the case to settle at some point for around £10m. The PL aren't keen on the litigation as it's a bad look for the League. Roll on Rovers plus team denied promotion by Ipswich v the EFL.
  17. Today
  18. He is either gullible or full of bullshit.
  19. It remains to be seen who we appoint for that. I am not too sure if many are aware, as I have not seen it mentioned anywhere, but here is the new player care officer. Not too sure what was wrong with the last one mind, but perhaps others may know. Player care at first-team level is different, but the focus remains the same: building genuine relationships so players and staff know you’re there to support and progress with them. 🇪🇸🇳🇱 Pre-season gave me the perfect chance to do that, with the Spain tour and trip to NEC Nijmegen. Both experiences helped me get to know players as people, their families, backgrounds and preferences - and made the transition smoother. 📝 A big part of my role has been leading on summer signings, from arrivals to inductions. Being a trusted contact, especially for those moving abroad, has been something I’ve really enjoyed. Helping players feel settled off the pitch is key to them performing on it. 📈 It’s also been great to welcome the FA, PGMOL and PFA into the training ground, with exciting conversations around personal development that I'm sure will grow across the season. 😁 Highlight so far? Our first league win away at Hull City - proof of the hard work across the environment paying off. 🙏 Huge thanks to everyone at Blackburn, external organisations and my friends/family who’ve helped me settle so quickly. I’m motivated by how aligned we are in building a culture of excellence, care and professionalism - excited for what’s ahead! ⚽️
  20. We are today advertising for a new "Team Operations Manager", whose role includes "being responsible for all logistical administration at the Senior Training Centre for all senior training centre staff including coaches and players." That seems to have a bit of overlap with a "player liaison officer" doesn't it? https://www.rovers.co.uk/club/job-vacancies/ They are also advertising for an "emerging talent coach" for the women's team, who will be contracted to 2 hours a week
  21. Bowyer did a cracking job when he came into Burton last season. Kept them up from a seemingly impossible position. However red hot favourites to go down again and they are struggling this season.
  22. At least it was an exciting summer though.
  23. We're also the joint, 2nd lowest goal scorers in the league. Sheff Utd are the lowest (mental) but they will overtake us in no time. Worryingly, we've only scored 5 goals in 6 games and 3 of those came in the same game.
  24. I agree on both counts. The problem is an ambitious coach brought in to do the best job he can for the football club would be pushing behind the scenes for better players, and improved budget, better structure. JDT and JE clearly both did. I think Ismael is complicit in allowing the squad to be decimated. I think this was stipulated to him as the plan when Rovers employed him from off the scrapheap, which is why if results continue as they are I won't give him the slack that some may think he deserves. He's replaced Waggot as the third stooge.
  25. Let's just say, his face fits and that's the criteria right now sadly. I understand that we have a new player liaison office too, whose face, also probably fits, as there was nothing wrong with our previous one.
