  1. Past hour
  2. And a quick course in Esperanto for the team and any staff barking instructions!
  3. You do realise people call you out as negative because every post is negative, right?
  4. So its like Nathan Jones and Rovers xtra were right when they tweeted last night Gudjohnsoen Don't know anything about the player, but lets hope we get this done.
  5. Only because Szmodics miraculously turned into a 30 goal striker.
  6. Wet, wild and windy, slick surface, great expectations, great atmosphere, hope it’s a great game.
  7. I'm pretty certain there will have been a mix up with squad numbers, end and Max Davies (who is a centre back) would have come on for Carter From this, Davies may have been wearing 13 (& Barrett 12), which may be where the confusion comes from
  8. “Inflation alone makes 15m now 16m” then add a load of examples from 10+ years ago 😂😂😂
  9. It's one of these copy cat trends that prevail amongst football clubs under the guise of 'safety' Mike. Watford were the first club to do this and I think that most clubs will follow suit. At most away games I am told to remove the cap from my plastic water bottle as it is deemed throwable with the top on but not without it. I always have a spare top secreted away and it gives me satisfaction to put one over the pettiness and frankly stupidity. The new rules at Ewood forbid the taking of food from other sources into the ground. However they will allow you to take In food bought in the Fanzone according to this the rule below. They are doing their utmost to discourage fans from enjoying the match day experience. There have been several surveys recently about enhancing the experience but decisions like these are still taken. In accordance with common practice, entry to the stadium with fast food and beverages purchased at restaurants, takeaways, public houses and other retail outlets away from Ewood Park is prohibited.
  10. Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - score/update - 12:30 kick off, game on Sky Sports + TBA - Saturday 3pm Kick off Olson - score/update TBA - Kick off Monday 3:45am UK time Duru - score/update
  11. I don't think you are. I think there's a *lot* of nervousness about letting Travis, Brittain and Batth go, in particular. I think there's some excitement over the last day or two now we're at the 'getting new players through the door' stage, but if you were to ask most of us if we could send some of our new signings back, and get back the core of the squad that finished 7th on longer contracts, I suspect most wouldn't think twice.
  12. Wolves match report: https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/under-21/20250829-u21-report-wolves-3-1-blackburn/ They have the line-up as follows and Rovers goal from Powell. Now sure how accurate given that Barrett seems to come on in defence: Wolves | Gracey, Ojinnaka (Okoduwa 66), Pond, Olagunju, Lima, Bradbury (Rawlings 66), Griffiths, Lembikisa, Mane, Angel (Sutherland 81), Chirewa (Edozie 71). Unused sub | Voice. Blackburn | Michalski, Batty, Atcheson, Carter (Barrett 64), Houghton, Vare (Farkas 78), Edmondson, Doherty (Boggan 72), Stritch (Dunn 46), Powell, Hood. Unused sub | Davies.
  13. Can we honestly move on with this? We don't know the full terms of those deals and that transfer was also 18 months ago. Inflation alone makes 15m now 16m, never mind the exponential inflation in football transfers and wages. Will this club be forever defined by the decision to sell a player? Should Everton fans still be going on about how they only got 27m for Rooney. Southampton only got 10m for Bale. Celtic only 13m for van Dijk. Honestly, the list of players who should have gone for more is so incredibly long, is this club really going to be defined by ONE PLAYER that we sold. We've also fleeced some clubs in the past when both buying and selling. Why don't we speak about that more?
  14. The 'bag policy' is a laughable read.
  15. Hope you enjoy the match Nic81. 🙂
  16. I'd say if we get this guy for £2m euros and sell Leonard for £1m that's a pretty good bit of business as far as I'm concerned.
  17. 210mm I may go to the Club Shop (it is normally shut when I am able to go) and buy an item and ask (pay for) for a plastic bag larger than A4. That should be interesting. Seriously though this is pathetic from the Club. They are the experts in pissing off fans.
  18. Not sure how people are against this one really. Looks a solid deal at £2m (we got £1m for JRC and Buckley remember!) He scored 1 in 2 in the Danish league. Ipswich just spent £17.5m on a striker whose scored 1 in 4 in that league. Played in the Conference League, scored 9 goals for his country, who are hardly Brazil. Top scorer for Madrid youth team and made the first team squad for Champions League. His 5 goals last season for Gent came from only 16 starts (his minutes work out as 13 matches). If he banged in 20+ at Gent he’d be going for £50m+ to a Newcastle type (they’re paying about £5m a goal for this Woltemade lad).
  19. For me it’s quite simple-you don’t overhaul a whole squad with the roll of the dice without tested Championship players being part of core changes. To say we are going into the unknown is an understatement l-exiting maybe. Theres excitement and there’s completely unknown! For me there’s too much sweeping changes and not just players but club staff and that sets alarm bells. Those that had any affiliation Rovers and could questions behind the scenes issues aren’t there. Who would now question the hierarchy. Too many factors that aren’t being questioned for my liking but maybe im in the minority!
  20. Today
  21. Well in terms of the numbers of players signed this window has truly surpassed what I thought we could feasibly do in a summer. Too early to say if theyre good players but we've bought the right positions anyway. Maybe one more midfielder to round things off.
  22. I’m getting a bit frustrated with the ‘you can’t see the bigger picture’ type posts. We all know the owners are terrible, we all know things aren’t rosy behind the scenes - just because a post suggests they may be excited or intrigued, doesn’t mean that everything else is forgotten. I love this football club but after a crap week at work, it’s nice to look forward to matchday and cling on to a bit of optimism about some transfers. I’m not going to caveat every slightly positive post with ‘but I know the owners are crap’ or ‘we haven’t invested anywhere near what we have brought in’. I know that, we all know that, and me adding it to a post won’t do anything and will just drive me insane. We are in the situation we are in and unfortunately that doesn’t look like changing any time soon; that might be apathy, who knows 🤷‍♀️
  23. Eddie, I’m not really disagreeing with your post above. I’m not keen on revisionism –this stuff about the old playing guard (and managers) were never going to take us anywhere. I just think that is harsh. They needed backing. On the new excitement –I get it: you just knew previously we wouldn’t make it, but we also knew that it wasn’t entirely down to the lads on the pitch –shenanigans off the pitch were responsible. I don’t like the idea that the new plan is a footballing masterstroke –it is financially driven. I don’t like the idea that if we don’t get in the top 6/promotion, then it doesn’t matter because you have to give the new plan time or it’s not fair to judge after one season (how long before we judge?) – that would just be as you say same old but on a slimmer budget and workforce and with Pasha more firmly in control. Ultimately, what is it that will rid us of these owners? I don’t think we will get promotion with this new model (there’s a stick to beat me with if it happens). So that means same old but with higher turnover of players (agents lovely jubbly). I know some would take relegation if it got rid of the owners. On the new sense of excitement. I get that too. I will certainly be going to the game with a sense of intrigue and interest. On a match to match basis, we all like to see exciting football, wins, goals etc.
  24. Looking forward to today's match which is usually a bad sign.
  25. Have I just seen Finn Azaz has been signed by Southampton for £15m, yes 15 million great british pounds, whilst Ipswich have signed a lad for £17.5m who has only played in the Danish league (worst record than Gudjohnsons lad there too). How much did we sell Adam Wharton for again?
