  1. Past hour
  2. Little bit harsh. At least Axel works. Vale looked disinterested.
  3. Early days for Cashin and the worst possible start but i get Grant Hanley vibes, brainless but will throw himself in front of stuff in the box. Which is pretty much what Brum fans said.
  4. Bazaar is right. It's like we got bartered into it by some shifty vendor when we had only intended to buy a jacket.
  5. Val is the least of our problems, but we may as well throw the dice and get rid now. A pragmatist like Rowett would give us the best chance of survival now. Having said that, there doesn't appear to be the slightest pressure on the manager as we are not a normal/functioning club.
  6. Four points above us now. Yet many on here think they’re one we’ll finish above.
  7. Maybe we can ask the league to postpone all our games until we've got players back from injury (and the weather improves so the pitch can cope). That way we will be fine.
  8. Charlton winning v 9 men so that's one sorted
  9. New pitch or new gaffer, time for a vote....
  10. Le Plant Pot: Valerien Ismael 'not worried' about #Rovers situation because of the players that are missing.
  11. I didn't expect to win today, but our best hope was frustrating Ipswich and getting a 0-0. Cashin literally ruined any chance of that happening 3 mins into his league debut. What I'm most annoyed about today is why Cashin or Maclaughlin started ahead of O'Riordan who was excellent away at Hull City. If we are contractually obliged to play Cashin at the expense of our own young players then we deserve everything we get.
  12. Ismael isnt the problem here. The problem is the owners simply have no aims for the club, no ambition. If they were to be ambitious and had the mindset that failure won’t be tolerated, it would spread right across the board. They could have that drive for us but they don’t. They can do something about it but they won’t. The happy clappers who support the Venkys are just plain blind. Yes they support us in some ways financially but it’s utterly pointless. What use is it when they otherwise don’t give a damn? There’ll be more and more posts like Devon Rovers.
  13. You get a real vibe of just how sick and tired the fan base is when you’ve not watched the game and you have a scan through the forum - nobody kicking off, just pure dejected acceptance of the reality. sad sad times to be a rovers fan.
  14. Can we organise a whip round?
  15. I get the distinct impression that the Regime - owners, administrators, Gestede - will be happier with our current situation than they were this time last year. That's right. Owners, directors, board will be happier staring down the barrel of relegation to League One and playing appalling football, never scoring, never even having an attempt on target, because they are now 'aligned' and have got their man in place delivering on their remit. Far, far, far better for them than the highly uncomfortable situation of years gone by with annoying irritating non-aligned head coaches like JDT and Eustace raising expectations, having us in contention, raising standards and making demands. No much better for this lot drifting along and most importantly fan anger can be concentrated on the manager and his results/performances and on the pitch issues rather than their negligent mismanagement upstairs. Yes a sacking might come in a month or so once we are entrenched in the bottom 3 as a token gesture to keep the heat off the regime when it is too late to attract anyone decent or take action in January to rectify the situation. Then it will be Jonno or similar left to hold the ropes until the summer, knowing full well as a relatively popular bloke the fans won't give him grief.
  16. We're at the point now where any player we sign we have to assume the worst. The manager, board & owners are such a bunch of inept cunts that no one with any real pedigree would give us the time of day
  17. Cashin is the type of footballer who would do well at man city. Pretty passer. Etc but not a player playing for a team that's fighting a dog fight in the relegation zones
  18. Special mention to Cashin: Scores an OG after 3 mins whilst under absolutely no pressure Gets caught following the ball and leaves his man to score a second Should have had a penalty given against him for wiping out their lad in the box He's fucking atrocious.
  19. Coming from the number 2 contrarian on the Board behind Masher, Im reassured by that.
  20. That is , if he is not sold !
  21. It reminds we of Sunday league stuff when the lad who thinks he's David Beckham grabs the ball and takes everything to try and make himself look good but is only really capable of one good delivery in 10. Ridiculous but it's beyond daft anyway that a Championship head coach of his experience and the staff they have already cannot implement some set piece stuff themselves anyway.
  22. Meanwhile Sheff Utd have had two red cards so far today
  23. Another player signed purely for financial reasons. We will have known Birmingham were happy to cut his loan short, we will have known that Brighton were keen to get him out playing games somewhere, and that he was fed up barely playing for them. We like cheap short term fixes so rang Brighton up and managed to persuade them to send him here for nothing, or very little, on the proviso we would offer what Birmingham weren't providing - regular minutes. They don't care about any more than that - a player in for next to no cost and a position 'addressed' with zero commitment or hassle. This is Blackburn Rovers 2026.
  24. Couldn’t even get one of his corners onto the pitch!
