Imagine Gazza and ZZ behind the SAS

Mahonney, Bennett to name 2, Lenihen off the record. Gives a clear idea of how the approach things whilst Pasha has been in charge. Rudy Gestede by the way started on work experience then was given the title of Head of Depts but now i presume he's called Sporting Director but he hasn't got the DoF title. The guy is in charge of catering and everything else judging by his No Tippy Tappy podcast so i'm not sure what use he'll be negotiating contracts.

Where were you at Wembley! -
Hes a pretty shoddy manager then. As we have seen.

Surely they are stooges. Who the fk would consider that the right decision or be gappy about it. Those girls have worked their arses off to stay up -
Always liked Charlton away, think they’ll struggle massively though after watching that game
-
Italia 90 was too early for me. World Cup 94 was my first memories of international football competitions and my first memory was England beating San Marino after the scored in the first seconds of the game
-
maybe he can only coach that style and formation? Amorim has been 3-4-2-1 formation head coach since he started his coaching hasn't he?
-
That's up there with micheal Owens goal V Argentina. Italia 90 was where it all began for me 💚🤍🤎

We have director of Football in Gestede to be honest who deals with the Recruitment and transfers and Adam Owen deal with the other side of the DoF as Gestede has said Phillips wanted out when GB and JDT came in and somehow they convince him to stay and sign a new contract but he and his agent was a release clause based on the number of minutes played. Should we have played him more to get an higher transfer fee? Blackburn Rovers' dilemma with Phillips before Spurs move | Lancashire Telegraph Ashley Phillips to Tottenham: Blackburn Rovers camp reveal impressive seven-figure transfer save which players? do you have a link to articles about this?
-
Thanks KentExile. Tyrone and Higgins have been all the talk and I remember how well Phillips was spoken of coming through as was Wharton. I knew of Eze but just hadn't picked up on any particular hype
-
Exactly. Numerous players have spoke about the negotiating process here.

Crazy isn't it. If there's one way to show that you're not dynamic and adaptable as manager it's that. Surely also a wet dream for opposition managers who know exactly how he's going to set up each week. Managers these days are wedded too much to playing styles when really your philosophy should be to win football matches. Sometimes that's playing sexy football sometimes it's two banks of 4 and hoof it up to a big lad.
-
I doubt they are offering wages that reflect the potential though and given they are academy products the starting point won't be very high to begin with. Plus you are talking about having DoF whose job it was to do the contracts, we didn't have one before and haven't had one since.
-
Im sure we have tried to get Dolan to sign a new deal but it doesnt mean we were offering a market rate wage.

How it makes sense to come into a club and refuse to even consider playing anything other than a pre conveived and very specific tactic rather than actually considering the squad at his disposal is beyond me.
-
did he win a trophy that he promised at the start of the season that was his target?
-
I don't think that's fair. Broughton tried to get Phillips tied down and his agent bent us over a barrel. They gave minutes to him AND Finneran before they were ready to convince them that there was a pathway to playing first team football here.
-
The 3 promoted/relegated sides aside, Spurs are statistically the worst team in that league. But yeah, Postecoglou has 'delivered success'.
-
Biggest disappointment of the day was Forest's failure to beat Chelsea. Forest have had a wonderful season and no one likes Chelsea. Spuds revert to type after their lucky Europa win - the manager will be gone soon. No one likes them either. Glad it's all over. Monotonous, ;pointless league enlivened this season only by Forest's unexpected success.
-
Amorim has said repeatably that he won't change his formation and that the players must adapt to his style of play and formation otherwise they will be not playing Newcastle and Spurs have both won trophies. Newcastle have played some good football and deserved Champions League football. Villa in the first half didn't have a shot at all. I stand by what I said about Spurs should stick with Ange Postecoglou and he deserved a trophy which Spurs fans wanted. He has delivered success. If I was Levy I would stand by Ange Postecoglou and looking to bring in a few quality players like another striker, wide player, centre defender and defensive midfielder.
-
Gregg Broughton tried repeatably to get Dolan to sign a new contract but Dolan didn't. He has changed agents now and he hasn't wanted to signed a new contract but Eustace and Rovers wanted to keep him. based on what?

It pretty much does have a full English breakfast, as part of brunch on Fridays and Saturdays.

Premier League
Mashed Potatoes replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Strange then that it is the most popular on global TV. -
Man Utd and Tottenham being crap (and the CL places going down to a not exactly elite fifth) has led to this narrative to how open and meritocratic the Premier League now is. Top 4? Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea. The more things change…
