  1. Past hour
  2. You are right, however, it's a fact. The point I was trying to make was how placid and perhaps apathetic our current fan base is to what it once was. We've put up with 15 years of sh1te with barely a murmur apart from @glen9mullan activity in the early Kean days. It simply wouldn't happen at other clubs.
  3. October 18th is when I predict we'll first see Baradji.
  4. Our 3rd game of the season and it already feels like a crucial 'must' win. You want to win every game of football obviously but this feels like a 6-pointer.
  5. Gestede is just here for the wheeling and dealing of players imo and that's why he was brought in plus a nice new shield for the other guy who'll throw him under the bus the min he thinks it's necessary. I don't buy the 'shadowing Waggot on work experience' for one minute he's more likely been parachuted straight in from somewhere to help oust Waggot so they can carry out their latest plan unchallenged.
  6. Would take a point now. Hull, despite their embargo, have had a good window and a lot of our players are new and settling in. my prediction would be 2 0 to hull
  7. 15 years is too long now. Soon to be a 16 year tenure. Do the right thing and sell up now. People would probably have more respect (though it's long diminished by now) if they held their hands up, publicly apologised....give out free season tickets on their last year, then leave
  8. I donโ€™t think that was the case. Im only a supporter and Iโ€™ve been following the club for 53 years and even Iโ€™m ready for saying enough is enough. Ive only seen and heard whatโ€™s going on from the outside, so players like Travis, who has worn his heart on his sleeve, has seen the chaos at close quarters. Im sure if things were normal and he was offered a normal contract, he would still be here. Blame him and other players by all means, but the real issues are the backroom staff and the owners, not players like Travis, who have given us a few years of good service and done their best.
  9. Hopefully he can come in and have an instant impactโ€ฆ oh wait
  10. I'm writing this new bloke off immediately - when you say his name fast it sounds like Balaji. Yuk. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  11. I wonder who will make their debut first, Baradji or Travis ?
  12. By selling one of our best players and replacing him with someone thatโ€™s injured? (Unless Iโ€™m confusing Baradji with someone else).
  13. Today
  14. There is a sizable difference between not wanting to play for Rovers, & not being offered the wage/contract befitting a proven Championship performer in his prime, with over 250 appearances to his name & who has been club captain for 3 years
  15. Recency bias ๐Ÿ˜„ Chaddy does it every year, us doom-mongers have a huge lead on the lad over the 15 years. Also one of those years we were almost relegated - hardly right to be optimistic. 1-1 draw over the 2 years so far Iโ€™d say
  16. Based on last season he is the exact opposite person i would want to captain the side. A fair weather player if you ever saw one. However, we are lacking in genuine quality and there is a lot of talent in him. Giving him the armband looks to be a plan to get him to take more responsibility on the pitch. Saturday was a decent example of this. Ultimately if this form continues and the chips are really down. Is he someone you would want leading you into battle?
  17. Travis didn't want to play for Blackburn Rovers, he made his mind up he wanted away. Better off without him, it affects the team, players who can't be bothered.
  18. That's correct, I saw one or two away supporters battered in the car park, in the early 70s. Let's leave those days behind, and concentrate on football.
  19. or if that doesn't work out, we can try backwards & downwards? ๐Ÿ˜‰
  20. Travis sold to Derby, Baradji in as his replacement. We might be able to move onwards and upwards now.
  21. Do you agree with Mani, Chaddy, that the club is now set up for managed decline?
  22. To me Cantwell is unsuited to being in a leadership position at a Championship club, BRFC has a lot of such individuals โ€ฆ so of course he gets to be captain, not exactly a difficult prediction
  23. Totally agree arbitro. I thought there was a huge gulf between the two teams. As you say, Brighton were big, strong and quick but all seemed to have the ability to control the ball, pass the ball and looked to be well organised in terms of shape and movement. Sadly, I couldn't see one player in that team who I would be happy to put in the first team squad - and if we get any sort of injuries and suspensions we will be relying upon them to make up the numbers. Like the first team, there is no threat in front of goal. Two big home games for the Under-18's coming up - Burnley today and Fulham in the Cup on Tuesday. They will be interesting tests for our youngsters.
  24. Yea surely he should be playing to advertise his skills more.
