  1. Past hour
  2. Watching Adam Wharton tonight he's a joy to watch
  3. An exhibition game after a serious league game. No-one would be that stupid….
  4. Pretty sure this was the case, from a couple of difference sources. Question is, where they put up to it by the club, or did they go into business for themselves? Not sure which is worse. Will certainly chip in and/or help with any fundraising also.
  5. Garner would really piss the Ding-dongs off.
  6. poetic justice if we are 0-4 down after 80 minutes and the match gets called off🤣,the w*****s at the efl can`t change the ruling now😁
  7. Agree with the thing about Hendry bailing twice. Not a Mount Rushmore figure for me.
  8. 12.30 Kick off you say 🙄🌧️ Imagine the embarrassment if it happened again.
  9. Steve Kean, Balaji Rao and his side boob, Bradley Orr, Suhail Pasha.
  10. Yet another lazy and hopeless decision by a club, totally bereft of any competency and ambition. Last one out, turn the lights off, happy 150th 😞
  11. Today
  12. The main issue at the club are these owners (who have to go) and pasha and Rudy who won’t get another job in football after this but Ismael looks out of his depth, doesn’t look inspiring one bit and the players look like they aren’t playing for him these last 2 games.. 3 and a half year deal was clearly given to VI because Eustace was worried about the long term vision
  13. it matters not who the manager is here, whoever it is ,they won`t be allowed to be succesful, wether val goes into mowbray mode and accepts it,we can only wait
  14. I spent many long hours photocopying and stapling the pages of 'Many Miles From Home' . Good memories The fanzine title was taken from the lyrics of this song
  15. Deeper depression sets in after this one, another humiliating defeat I am sure.
  16. The 3.5 year contract was for the optics…”look at us, we’re backing this guy…he ain’t going anywhere so get used to him…”. It was a message to the players & the fans. I’d be amazed if that contract didn’t have fixed compensation clauses in it as opposed to “paying up the unexpired term”. But that said, if he is wiling to play the game, as was Kean, then realistically they won’t pot him as they’d then have to find another patsy. I’ve said it multiple times on here, as indeed have many others - this club isn’t about chasing on-field success. It’s about reducing costs.
  17. Still nothing on this anniversary shirt either. Really is an embarrassing celebration.
  18. We should have snatched a point against Swansea with a clear penalty, but poor defending gave Swansea a deserved win, hope you get a better result on Saturday 12.30pm.
  19. If you take away the clear penalty turned down(proven after a slow motion replay), we weren't that brilliant tuesday, I hate to think what the result will be, against an inform Coventry, if we don't get our act together.
  20. We need Carter back alongside Wharton, anybody know when hes due back. The Hyam comments are coming true, poor defending on Tuesday, we need a defender and if possible, another striker, in the January window, before our ship starts to run aground and sink.
  21. I'd suggest maybe Lambert a bit like Eustace albeit less effective in that he wanted results first and wasn't brought in and didn't have any intentions of all the above stuff. But yeah other than that whether it be Kean, Bowyer, Coyle, Mowbray, JDT and now Ismael there has always been a 'project' running alongside the bread and butter of results which takes over from it. The sad thing is that in both JDT and Eustace - for totally differing reasons but both very effective - they had people here that could deliver for them. Eustace showed he could do it on a shoestring budget without the need for some elaborate network and scouting, and JDT showed he could do it whilst handing debuts and game time to a raft of academy players, most of whom proved themselves to not be good enough yet were given plenty of opportunity at Championship level whilst we remained competitive. In avoiding both of the above we now seem to have gone down a third route - totally ditched the academy model, totally ditched the 'tried and tested' experience model, and ended up with a massively inferior manager working with a raft of players not good enough. Idiots gambling with the club's future and Championship status, for no good reason other than to perhaps benefit third parties outside of BRFC.
  22. Our defending was poor against Swansea, the first goal, left all alone at the backpost in acres of space to volley it Home, and their second, our defenders backed off, and stood like statues while he whipped a cross in for the winner.
  23. I think as one or two others have said, it appears as though Ismael isn't gonna get the boot anytime soon. The 3.5 year deal just beggars belief really. Having said that, Ismael will get rolled under the bus eventually by Rudy and Suhail. If Rovers continue to lose home games then the crowd will turn, and not just on the head coach but I think it might finally turn some of the happy clappers onto the ownership. It was different last season because Eustace had us up in the top 6 for much of the time, but if they're down in and around the bottom 3 this season then it will turn. On Ismael himself - he's just not a very good head coach. I have some sympathy with him due to the turnover of players and the distinct lack of championship experience, but he's still bang average.
  24. Disappointing Rovers crowd Tuesday 9,000, less if you take the Swansea supporters away.
  25. I have been warned for abusive comments, sorry if I've upset anyone. The results and the way we've been playing have been getting to me lately. I would go with Ohashi starting against Stoke, he partners well with morishiti at times. Gudjohnssen had his chance against Swansea, bring him off the bench when needed.
