  1. Past hour
  2. Forecast has the rain starting to fizzle out then 40% chance and continuing to reduce further up to kick off. They'll probably call it off at 2pm and then by kick off it will be perfectly playable
  3. I’ve travelled to India once and I’ve learnt a lot about the culture down there. They are really chilled and relaxed, for example if they’re working they would be on a phone call whilst doing their job, you will not get that here in England. It’ll be a straight sack. Another thing is they don’t give a toss about anything. Was at the train station, I would see people walking on the rail tracks to take a shortcut to somewhere and no one would stop them. If they were to die, no one would care either. Finally, they do anything for money. I have a house over there, I needed the sockets sorting out because my phone wouldn’t charge. Sorted out an electrician, came within an hour. Let’s be honest, in England it would take days for an electrician to come. They sorted out my issue within at least 30 minutes. It was late at night too and they still came. So any time they would come, especially if it was for money. That’s all they care about even if their life is at risk. So to conclude, venkys just see us as a business and don’t give a flying f**k about us. All these court case delays, they couldn’t care less, they’re probably chilled about it. It’ll be a long time for them to sell us unfortunately.
  4. You'd have thought everyone from the Oxford end would be well on the way by then.
  5. Yes...forgot that one!
  6. It’s sweet he thinks there’s logic behind our lack of communication.
  7. I remember those days, Willington, Altrincham, Kidderminster and Welling..
  8. Decent first game to warm up to. 10th of Jan v Hull Away (Championship) 31st of Jan v Hull Home (Championship) So Hull game FA cup 3rd round 10th-11th Jan will be replaced.... with the Hull game lol
  9. They already did that for the first two years so why not.
  10. Agree with every word. Pretty much nailed how we all feel.
  11. Town Centres up and down the country, Saturdays 2000’s
  12. Today
  13. The silence befits this awful iteration of BRFC.
  14. Quite glad we didnt get a prem club away, couldn't be doing with the club crowing about us playing some giant when we used to play and beat them regularly before this ownership turned up. Would have liked one of the non league ones away really.
  15. Glad it's away. Could have been worse. Could have been a banana skin. Hull are a good side and we've already beaten them away in the league. Interesting.
  16. Thread only started yesterday but 7 pages already, normally a game like this wouldn't get much pre-game chatter going. 7 pages, all talk about if the game will go ahead, pitch drainage, ownership incompetence and now the manager stepping out of line and probably signing his own P45. Rovers under Venky's, all the talk is about something other than the football.
  17. This draw was probably on a small shortlist of "anyone but them" for fans of both clubs. Same as with Boro away last season. They'll have to make it a tenner all areas of the ground or no one will bother going.
  18. Hoping for an away game, thats my only hope. We cannot afford for another game to be called off and given the weather in Jan, thats very likely if its at Ewood.
  19. Boring tie. Might as well give us points for the game.
  20. Oof this is the first time I've seen thr full quotes. Good on VI for speaking up, but this won't go down well at all with the club. Venky's mantra has always been toe the line or you are out. They banned the local newspaper for similar reasons.
  21. Much like those before him, VI clearly not happy with how the club is run and he's now struggling to hide his annoyance at what, quite frankly, is a joke of a club. Let's face it, if we were a well run club then VI wouldnt be here in the first place. However, if he gets offered another job, he'll be off like a shot, just like our previous two managers. Sadly for VI, he won't be very in demand so I suspect he'll have to suffer through the pain like the rest of us.
  22. It suppose it all depends whether there was ever a January pot available in the first place. If there was then you're robbing Peter to pay Paul and VI should have none of it. If there wasn't then I suppose you could say it's a clever ploy by him to put pressure on them to spend money on the pitch by him pretending he's being reasonable. Overall I still think he should be condemning the situation with the pitch without offering to sacrifice transfer budgets in return. We've seen it all before. It all smacks to a bit to me of Broughton coming out and justifiably or otherwise taking responsibility for various cock ups behind the scenes without there being any actual recriminations for him. Here it seems to me like they've spent some time agreeing their response behind the scenes in advance and he's come out pretending to be annoyed but then suggesting a solution which is no actual skin off their nose. Either that or he doesn't want to be blamed with anything to do with the pitch but doesn't want to upset them enough to lose his job either.
