Modern day football can be so over complicated. Thats gone down as one of the worst matches ive watched. So frustrating when somethings clearly not working they continue to carry on doing it. How many times did we create our own problems, trying to play out from the back and turning over possession. It was so predictable, every time we passed the ball the to our fullbacks it was so easily read you can see the charlton wingers already running to our fullbacks before toths passed them the ball. I do think when bringing on Andri he should of left Morishita on for a bit to give him a chance to link up with him, Morishita was having a poor game but sometimes when a player has ability they can produce it at any moment, and with Andri coming on you'd of thought a clever striker near him might of helped Morishitas game a bit. Bringin on kargbo to cross balls whos not the best technically just seemed a bit brain dead, chasing a goal probably should of left morishita and kargbo on rather than hedges, but because our teams so small thats probably why hedges stayed on over morishita at the time. Also I think we need to give up with these long throws, we literally only have wharton that may win a header, smallest team ever, and the 2 players any good at winning headers is the one taking it or the other Cb, who then have to sprint the length of the pitch back to defend. Very bad day all round, and its always going to happen. Massive week ahead, really need to get 3 points tuesday. Charlton put balls into the box when they could, and pressed us well because we were so predictable in how we did things. An easy basic game plan, unmarked first goal set the tone. Set pieces at both ends a real worry for us. Ruined a good drinking day that. -

All downhill for all of that load of players and manager that left Rovers at that time to move to "bigger clubs". At least David Bentley came out and admitted it was a massive mistake and he should have stayed. -

He's already made most of them ban themselves. -
No doubt, he would try.

I heard two of our ex managers names on soccer Saturday the other day, Gary Bowyer is at Burton and bottom of league one and Mark Hughes is still at Carlisle in the national league, bizarre the route he took gradually going further down the pyramid

Is it the same board etc I wonder if an of shoot club would work better for the women's? I'd argue the fanbase could raise a certain amount to at least get them kicking on? are the current players even paid? seems like a glorified Sunday league. -

I firmly believe these next two fixtures, shape our season. Lose them both and we are deep in the mire. Hopefully we will pick up 4 points, which is the absolute minimum, to prevent us going into the next international break on a real downer. In my opinion, the manager is not up to scratch and has been chosen due to his willingness to accept the mediocrity, being forced upon him and it was this factor, not his ability that now only got him the job, but also the bizarre 3 year contract. - Today

What would this prick pasha do then if all the fans changed for him too fuck off, non-stop for ninety minutes? Would he ban all the fans? -
In your opinion that a new owners should have no relevance. The Manchester United and Spurs situations are different. ETH won a trophy the previous year, Spurs hadnt won a trophy since 2008 and Ange gave the league up and focus on winning a trophy. United are mess behind the scenes whilst Spurs are run properly, structural organised whilst United arent. Better now I believe United. God knows, I cant remember to be quite honest. Probably did but knowing that they were speaking to other head coaches behind his back, he been better walking away from that madhouse

Need 6 points from these next two home games, if we had our first 11 fit I think we would stand a good chance. But the makeshift defensive setup due to selling Hyam without replacement stinks the place out and if we concede first think we lose both of them. -

It was a poor quality game overall, from both sides That is not meant as a dig at Charlton, The majority of the Championship is poor in terms of genuine quality, as the Prem hovers all the quality up. However, Charlton played to their strengths and deservedly got the 3 points Good luck for the rest of the season, if we are both very very lucky, we will not be in league 1 next season where the quality drops off the cliff even more. If Charlton continue to play to their strengths, then they should be ok -

TBF most sides in this division are quite poor. We're just really shit. The team that finished 7th last year has been completely dismantled and sold off and they've been replaced by cheap foreign imports for the most part. All of this has been done very deliberately as the key players we've lost were more than happy here yet they weren't offered anything in the way of a contract renewal. The whole club is completely toxic and had been for 15 years. The latest episode of this disgrace being the local paper banned from Ewood because they very mildly criticised the club's summer transfer dealings in a social media post. I think Charlton should do alright this year and stay up quite comfortably as there are worse teams in the division, Rovers being one of them. Happy trails. -
I know new owners often want their own man/a fresh start and acknowledged that in my post. We saw that here in dreadful circumstances. But that doesnt change the discussion surrounding whether they deserve to lose their job. If one neutral fan asks another neutral fan whether they think a club should sack their manager or not, a new owner at that club has absolutely no relevance. So in this instance, we support neither United nor Spurs. But if the logic was that Ange should have kept his job owing to a cup victory whilst finishing was it 17th in the league, something I didnt agree with, then surely Ten Hag who finished I think 8th that season warranted the same outcome. Whether they had new owners coming in should bare no relevance towards your opinion considering that is what you would do. Im pretty sure that at the time, you did actually say that Ten Hag should have been kept and backed with new players anyway, although I might be wrong.

Too close for comfort in the end but it's nice to beat that lot, especially on their home soil
