  1. Past hour
  2. I looked for the attendance on the BBC web site this morning on the basis that it looked very poor from what I saw on TV. There was no attendance figure given this morning but just looked again now and it’s 12,285. They must be having a laugh, lucky to be 7500 from what I could see. It will be interesting to see what the police numbers are.
  3. Google AI: Rudy Gestede is the person in the picture. He is a former professional football player and is now the Head of Football at Blackburn Rovers. He played internationally for France at the U19 level before switching to Benin. Gestede played for Cardiff City, where he helped the club earn promotion to the Premier League. He was loaned to Blackburn Rovers in 2013, and the transfer became permanent in January 2014.
  4. A very good post. At the end of the day, Tony Mowbray was a football manager, a competent one who knew what he wanted his team to look like. He knew the importance of good characters, he knew what he saw a functional team to need. And when Waggott came in, he had no desire to play his own real life football manager. The above isnt a defence of Mowbray. My point is we have succumbed to the modern way where essentially the one designing the team is someone in a suit. He wont know how to make a winning team, everything will be based on data, nothing on character. The manager is lumped with players he didnt pick and he just has to work with them. For us, that setup is made so much worse because the likes of Gestede and Owen in those roles, before you even think of Suhail, are totally out of their depth.
  5. Yes I believe I would. I truly am a fucking renegade.
  6. Rudy’s brother
  7. It's the golfer Harold Varner III
  8. A few Venkys Out" posters following King Charles around when he comes to Clitheroe? Might even pique his interest---ripping out the heart of the community and all that.
  9. That's a fair point isnt it. We might look slightly more attractive to potential candidates with Championship status guaranteed.
  10. Would you go so far as to choose your ‘keeper based on his shot stopping/dealing with crosses abilities?
  11. At the end of the day we both know that nothing will really change until the Chicken Chokers leave.
  12. Nope. I dont believe there was some sudden sort of big bust up but Ismael tanked from the moment he arrived. They should have had contingency plans in place months ago.
  13. Better to limp along with Johnson till the end of the season (depending on results) and come up with a new manager then. As it is I fear they'll rush with somebody (anybody) and nothing will change.
  14. Eddie Howe might be available tonight
  15. Yep, if you have no succession plan in a standard business, you're creating your own problems. If you have none as a football club administrator, you are - quite frankly - clueless.
  16. And here I was thinking this was just basic tactics. Maybe I put my name down for the Rovers job. I'll have us in the automatics in January before I quit in February for a real club and then I can go on to revolutionise the game by managing numerous successful teams with the basic philosophy of being solid at the back and attacking with width and two up front.
  17. It is obvious the 2 stooges have no real plan !
  18. I know Val left under mutual consent, but I figured that was a pay off and leave ahead of a replacement being identified. It seems he genuinely left ala Eustace/JDT (broken promises - despite his general shit performance) and we're left in the lurch. How do you run a football club with the record ours has, and not have a plan b waiting in the wings
  19. Not trolling at all, never looked into it to that extent, just seemed a good shout. Regarding the win percentages, it does depend which club in which division, you can't just take it as a blanket figure. I'm not advocating signing him up, I just didn't instantly disregard it as most did
  20. I suspect people are just going off his links with Rovers when making these odds (he came through our youth team)
  21. I can't tell if you're deliberately trolling there but go on Ill bite. I couldnt care less about the Kean link. Allardyce also worked with him and most people would have him back. I just think Coleman is a really poor Coach. Serial failure. In 3 of his last 6 jobs he's had win ratios around the 25% mark plus in a 4th one (Sunderland) 17 %
  22. I’m surprised there’s not more talk around Lee Bowyer
  23. Reading fans really don't rate Leam Richardson. Terrible manager.
