  1. Past hour
  2. We all are. Lets all get behind the latest uprising and finally drive them out.
  3. Not saying it is directly comparable. However, that squad should’ve been nowhere near the relegation zone, the fact it won a cup and pretty much the same squad came 6th the year after tells you that. But we were down there, that’s football. End of the day top level football used to be about winning trophies, 7th or 17th, made no difference when half the division weren’t given a European place. A successful, memorable season would be defined by winning things, not another season winning nowt, but finishing 5th.
  4. Had a look around Blackburn Museum yesterday and their exhibit 150 years of Blackburn Rovers it runs until next Saturday 14th June. Exhibits include a number of shirts one from late 1890's and one from fa cup final against Huddersfield in 1928. Fa cup winners medals from the treble in 1890's. Number of programmes, pennants including Pune FC (spit). However overall I was disappointed it really needed a time line backed up with newspaper articles and photographs.
  5. So Sick,Tired and Angry with it all.The bottom line is these gobshytes should NEVER have been allowed to aquire Rovers. Why,WHY dont they put the Club up for sale and we can ALL move on forwards? Dragging the name of our great Club through the Mud,this is pure torture.
  6. The Doors - People Are Strange
  7. Today
  8. I’m just going to leave this here, can anyone guess the year?
  9. I look forward to finding out. Hopefully whatever it is, the outcome will be one, where they are forced to relinquish their ownership.
  10. Indeed, and if the Directorate of Enforcement had their way then Venkys wouldn’t be allowed to send monies whatever conditions were attached. It makes you wonder what they’ve found out/suspect but not yet revealed.
  11. Is our FFP leeway not affected by the fact the owner’s didn’t add any equity in the 23/24 financial year? I thought this reduced the allowable loss for that year from £13 million to £5 million.
  12. It must be a concern that despite this figure, they have still not been given their way, in having the need for the bond removed. It is surely telling, that despite £25m in property and bond monies, they are still required to provide further guarantees, in order to fund the club. They are surely, somewhere near the tipping point.
  13. Those figures (seized property and guarantees to date) are confirmed within the most recent court order. They were part of a Venky’s’ argument as to why the guarantee condition should be removed from future remittances.
  14. But Tottenham year in year out are towards the top of the league, we had just been promoted. Signing Cole in January and Tugay for a fairly small fee cant really be compared the amount of money that Spurs have spent to assemble that squad.
  15. You know it's bad when there aren't even fake twitter rumours to post
  16. If its becoming a more important of the process then the club is seemingly ill equipped to take advantage due to internal delays and how slow we operate. Its not a tactical choice with the thinking being that we can get more quality. Its purely a case of the owners being unwilling to reinvest money which is why people get so frustrated.
  17. I am well aware that all transfers wont be done by pre season. I am also well aware that the main reason that we as a club are particularly slow in getting transfers done is because of how we are run. We dont have a managerial change or a change in division like numerous other clubs do which will slow down their transfer dealings comparatively. I would be (pleasantly) surprised if we have any deals done by the start of pre season. We should be able to get some deals done by then, not all of our business but a reasonable chunk, but I dont see it happening. But its you that specifies how many you want and expect for pre season who is then the most keen of all to deflect and make excuses when it doesnt happen year after year. Without ever acknowledging the main reason which is us being owned by Venkys and run by imbeciles. You also shout down any others who criticise our slowness as if they are being unreasonable.
  18. I have been talking to a couple of friends this morning and trying to establish, the amount that is either now in the bond, or have been seized, by the ED since it came to light that the owners were being investigated. It has been reported that ED initiated the investigation, in connection with illegal remittances made by the company since 2010 to date to it's wholly owned Subsidiary named M/s Venky's London Limited, Cardiff UK. Six properties were seized under the provision of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) 1999. The value of the properties seized was £7.3M and as we are aware, since then they owners have had to apply to the court, for permission to send any further funds to VLL in order to fund the club. Due to the ruling made that a bond had to be paid at 100% of the amount transferred, this stands them at circa £23m inclusive of the value of the properties seized. Given the recent request for £4.85M to be sent, which was made in March and the recent court hearing, whereby the bond required has been reduced to 50% of future remittances, if this is indeed sent, it will stand them at £25m which is more than the initial purchase price of the club. It could well be a masterstroke by ED agreeing to 50% as it will test the resolve of the owners, who must have some serious concerns by now, that the property seized and the Bond monies, could be lost. It remains to be seen if they do send the £4.85m required, as this is to keep the club ticking over and meeting it's liabilities, not to fund transfers or pay for things like ground maintenance, so will the rumours if certain players being sold, materialise, which surely must happen, if the funds are not sent, otherwise it could be game over.
  19. A leader of men, proper defender and great world cup in 2010. One of my all time faves. Disgustingly forced out as we were all lied too and it's kept going downhill since.
  20. Rovers Stalwart
  21. Way I see it, Tuchel has been brought in to win a tournament, if he doesn’t manage that, he’s failed, it’s that simple. I don’t think we’ve got as strong of a side as Spain, or even France, tbh, so he’ll have to find a way to win, as we won’t out play them.
  22. I'm not downplaying anything, if a fee is to be paid then happy days. It is the knocking of signing free agents that I'm talking about, when it is becoming a more and more important part of the process.
  23. Signing players later in the transfer window means we don't have to pay them through June and July, I'm sure this is a consideration by Suhail.
  24. Our best players are running out of contract and we can't even be bothered to sort them out, so I have doubts we will be doing much elsewhere.
  25. Finishing 7th and avoiding the playoffs by 10 minutes is destined to become a highlight in the history of Blackburn Rovers Football Club, once that history is brought into context and perspective by the utter shite we are to be abused with in the coming months. Let's face it, the minor miracle that was conjured up at the end of last season was very pleasant at the time, and served to paper over the very obvious cracks that had opened during the turbulent and bemusing campaign we had endured up to that point. But the reality is that the cracks remain, indeed they are showing signs of becoming dangerous rifts in the fabric of the club. There is nothing to suggest we will go into the new campaign even at parity, squad strength wise, to how we finished the last, with clear indications that some of our more saleable assets and those able to leave for free will be allowed to move on. I challenge anyone to set out any clear logic that says losing Brittain, Dolan, Tronstadt, Travis and Hyam makes us any stronger, but those are the names that appear to be on the 'available for transfer' notes doing the rounds. The best we can hope for is that actually, Valerian Ismael is actually a minor miracle worker who is able to get the best from whatever ragbag of journeymen players he is presented with (in mid August), and that we beat some teams in the league simply by having a better looking kit that at least conjures some deep memory of substance and success. The writing is on the wall. The walls are closing in. The walls, ladies and gentlemen, are about to tumble... Feck the Venkys and their cronies. Long live the memories and achievements of the 150 year tradition of Blackburn Rovers. And remember, it is always darkest before the dawn. VENKYS OUT!
