  1. Past hour
  2. It's a shirt in one pre-season match. As ever, the offer still stands for you to represent BRFCS on the Forum instead of sniping on here.
  3. I disagree, being small he has a good change of direction, but in my opinion he hasn't got pace, be it in a burst or any other form.
  4. Yep. O'Rourke was pretty much gospel a few years ago but he's less reliable than Nixon these days.
  5. I’m with RevidgeBlue on this. Who can forget the pride we all had when Tony Parkes dished out the proper Rovers shirts for the presentation at Wembley in 1992
  6. I probably worded it poorly, but by breaking into the first team, I don't mean the squad itself, but actually becoming a consistent figure in the first 11. Even in 22/23, he played in nearly every match, but he was a sub for 19 of those appearances. It was only in the last 2 seasons that he was really first choice for his position and considered an integral part of our plans and system.
  7. "It's only a shirt". Sums up everything wrong with the Forum. Next stop - " They were only blue and white halves - I'm not sure what you're bothered about" In fact it seems we're half way there already.
  8. We kind of do. He did go public about what he was on when he first joined Rovers and how his next contract wasn't an exponential increase. We do also have a report from the club in Turkey that, whilst unsubstantiated, may give an indication of what he now feels he is worth.
  9. We had the option (1/4 available) to stop paying Dolan on expiry of his contract but this would have meant no compensation being due. Can we be certain our financially incompetent board wouldn’t have made this choice?? edited to add - paying his wage to the end of July (or until he joined another club if sooner) only applies if we hadn’t offered him a new contract.
  10. Irrespective of whether the three signings are up to the required standard, would you not agree they're in areas where we were already relatively well stocked? (Assuming no-one leaves)
  11. Yeah that's another reason I just don't believe it. I don't believe we will pay a fee for someone who is 29 in a few months. I also don't believe we will give someone of that age a 3/4 year deal which he would no doubt want.
  12. I need an ironic thumbs up emoji for this
  13. Doing "what they can?" Is the "negativity" not understandable? We havent improved our attack which badly needs it, we have lost our best CB and currently only have one fully fit one, we have lost Dolan, lost Weimann, Brittain wants out, no contracts signed. Doesnt seem unreasonable.
  14. Very much an article where he knows too much time has passed not to write something. But he has absolutely no further information.
  15. The club has signed three guys. Based on need, I’d say they’re doing what they can. Honestly, the griping, & constant negativity gets old.
  16. I know you are reknown for hyperbole but can you explain why you think it would be "terrible." I'd get underwhelming perhaps if you said that or something similar, terrible is a strong word. Profile wise, good age, experienced but not over the hill, he is left footed, he hasnt ever stood out but he is a centre back playing for Hull and I have never seen him and thought he is a disaster either or a mistake waiting to happen. Hull fans in the main seem like they would rather not sell. All of our other signings have never played at this level before, he has plenty of times and could help to slightly fill the void of experience leaving. Probably not true as the source is dodgy and advanced talks means little with us anyway, but still.
  17. He's gone back to Switzerland. It was a medical issue. It could be off, it could be renogtiated. Splinters everywhere.
  18. The more you read about this lad the more exciting he gets. It would be typical rovers if this falls through due to an injury. Why don't we try a loan first with option to buy, that way we get an insight on how bad his injury is effects his progression.
  19. Advanced talks means very little as far as this football club is concerned
  20. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25320909.moussa-baradji-latest-blackburn-rovers-deal-balance/ Can't read the thing but headline suggests Beradji deal not totally dead.
  21. Could be a similar scenario to when Coventry needed to sell Hyam....but having said that with Hull being under embargo you'd think they need to keep hold of all the players they can.
  22. It's the perfect player for Blackburn Rovers to unsuccessfully bid on then isn't it.
  23. The owner most likely wants to claw back as much money as he can before administration and doesn't give a jot about how the team performs next season. They will surely fill one of the relegation slots next season, along with Sheff W. I don't even wanna think who may be joining them!
  24. I can't see a club letting that happen. Selling players, just to pay the costs of running the club, surely not.
  25. Elton John - I’m Still Standing
