  1. Past hour
  2. Probably what Ismael’s agent was trying to do last year.
  3. I can’t take Chris Coleman seriously after that clip in the Sunderland documentary when he’s arguing with a fan…. ”You’re calling me a prick? I’m a married man with six kids!”
  4. We will have the same issue attracting a manager that we have attracting players. Venkys simply won’t pay significant wages. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. All these ‘name’ suggestions are pie in the sky.
  5. I wonder with names like Coleman, whether their agencies just put their names out there so that when they get a league 2 job or a job overseas they're thought of as "someone who was in the mix for a Championship job" and that it's a coup for the club who brings them in.
  6. Was joking about this earlier but it's how owners/those making appointment think. All dreams of a semi high profile manager coming in will not happen.
  7. Brighton my local team. He was awful. Hughton came in after and was successful though. Tony Bloom backs his managers!
  8. Portsmouth v Ipswich tonight postponed - waterlogged pitch ! 😄
  9. Pointing out the obvious but the chances of us landing on our feet again with a Eustace or JDT feel slim to none with just Pasha and Rudy at the wheel. Dream scenario is Johnson does enough to hold onto it, we stay up, then there are huge changes at the club in the summer - either Venky's or at the vert least, Pasha bugger off. Then I woke up.
  10. He's at a club bankrolled by Tony Bloom, them or this clown show, tough choice!
  11. this, both too good for us tho
  12. "you've got a wee gem there" is a quote that should never be forgotten when assessing Nixons' opinions on football.
  13. Coleman would probably be the final straw breaking the camels back for this club and ownership.
  14. It won't be Chris Coleman.... It just can't be 😂 The Leicester and Rovers links are surely just an agent trying his best. I'm taking no notice of the odds. Eustace aside (which was clearly already done), we've never appointed an early favourite. Coyle, TM, JDT and VI all were obscure or real outsiders when the conversations started (I think)
  15. Dear god no! Here's a Brighton fan view https://www.wearebrighton.com/newsopinion/what-went-wrong-for-brighton-and-sami-hyypia/ Quote from the article "And that kind of sums up Hyypia’s Reign of Terror. Bad recruitment. Tactics ill-suited to the Championship. Stubbornness to the point of delusion." Sounds like a Scandi version of VI
  16. Coleman has a 29% win rate (Coventry) and 17% (Sunderland) so absolutely not what we want or need. Wagner or Hassenhuttl would be first two on my list. Thought we’d have a poll by now!
  17. This probably sounds daft to some but our biggest enemy tonight might be complacency against a struggling Wednesday who have been further depleted by injury. The game over there in December was an example of what I mean as we looked like turning up would be enough, particularly after a really good result at Middlesbrough a few days before. In pretty much every home game this season we have started really slowly with very little intensity and generally let the opposition grow into the game at their own pace, a bit like playing with the handbrake on. I get playing like that away but for me it was a real failing by Ismael and directly contributed to our abysmal home record. The exception was Millwall when a quick start and early goal gave us a foothold in the game and something to work with. Damien Johnson needs to be bold with both selection and tactics and get at them from the kick off. An early goal will settle everyone down.
  18. Still had 2 wins in 13 matches before Southampton sacked him so he would be an upgrade on Ismael Seriously, who wants any of those contenders? Duds the lot of them
  19. Was watching that incident with Bowyer and Dyer this morning lol mad times they were
  20. Wagner has a pretty decent record overall. Rowett too if you take Oxford out of the equation. Coleman on the other hand....
  21. They've spent a fortune.
  22. Alarming people still don't 'get' odds on the next Blackburn manager market..... For Coleman there's a link to Adam Owen, assumptions being made.....
  23. Someone turn the lights off on the way out if its Chris Coleman.
