  2. Forget the £200M - that is not happening. It's about Venkys understanding that this asset is a write off (happens every day in the private capital world) and cutting their losses/getting as much as they can. As per @RoverDom it WILL become £300M, £400M... because we are not progressing upwards in any way with the current strategy - it simply will not allow us to grow. Where this all falls down and unfortunately seems to be more and more the case, is if they just don't care and are treating Rovers not as an investible but a trophy asset, then it really is game over with this strategic direction.
  3. "Internal discussions with relevant club staff will now take place regarding the structure of the Women’s team going forward." In other words, what's the bare minimum we can get away with, minus about 10% on top.
  4. We’ll be the best funded team in that tier right?? Coz they’re complaining about the increase in cost not what they have been paying right??
  5. That's an incredibly generous interpretation.
  6. … make that a voluntary double relegation https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/june/04/club-update---blackburn-rovers-women/

  8. As far as we know although it's by his own words, so take with a pinch of salt, he was instrumental in getting Eustace in and getting Mcfadz etc and that kept us up. However he must've played his part in not backing TM, JDT and also not moving Mowbray on earlier plus there was all the Broughton stuff and 11th hour signing failures so he's still a twat. Thing is though next time we are in the mire who has the hand on the tiller without out any assistance ?
  9. It was probably not common knowledge, where he lived. Whoever owns the property has done so for 27 years, so I suspect he was renting it. Assuming he is to remain in his post for now, he needs to live somewhere and can’t hide from everyone.
  10. We got minutes into an academy player!
  11. Im not sure he does look capable to be a regular. He is a midfielder, he started one game at right back and got sent off. Mind you, this club dont care about capability.
  12. Interesting , I wonder if Val has had enough yet ??
  13. The price they paid for the club was nowhere near all the money Jack and then his trust put in. Why do they think they should get every penny of their money back. Dickheads.
  14. I expect Brittain to leave with Montgomery taking his place. The lad looks capable enough. Low earner replaces high earner and a possible fee for Brittain too. It's almost inevitable
  15. Should probably start a thread on how soon Ismael will be pissed off enough with the clowns to leave. The way the transfer window is shaping up it could be before the season...
  16. He joined us from Man U. Was one of our early guests on the podcast & was always very helpful to BRFCS. The day after he left, Rovers unfollowed us on Twitter which was a level of petty I always begrudgingly admired…😆
  17. The thing that they have to realise is there's three scenarios 1. We get PL money and they stand a chance of clawing their money back - but they need to run the club properly to do that 2. We stay in the championship and they hold out for their 200m but end up pumping in more and more money to maintain a championship club and before long 200 becomes 300 becomes 400 3. They stop putting money in, we slide down the leagues and suddenly they're asking for £200m for a league 2 team. That £200m is dead money. They need to write it off.
  18. Managers like Cooper and O'Neil were out of our reach, according to the 3 stooges. Let's see if Boro have any genuine ambition with their next appointment
  19. Middlesbrough just sacked Carrick, no big surprise I wonder if Steve Cooper or Rob Edwards are the most likely options there. That leaves Boro, Bristol City and QPR(?) on the look out for new managers.
