  2. Quality and fitness. There's no point having versatility in the treatment room. JRC was often highlighted as someone who provided versatility in the squad but you could only have him in 5 game bursts before getting injured.
  3. What a desperately unlucky club we are. I suppose that's what happens when you are owned by billionaires and located in a total backwater like Blackburn (less than an hours drive from Cheshire/Manchester and same commute as players for Liverpool/Man City/Man Utd). I mean in the space of 6 months we've lost our manager to Derby because he wanted to be nearer to home so much so that he cut short a 3 year contract and dropped a chance at PL promotion to join a club at high risk of relegation to League One. We've lost our mainstay CB to Wrexham on deadline day because he wanted to move on elsewhere (despite publicly stating the opposite earlier in the summer) We've lost our mainstay CM captain who had been with the club since being a teenager because he 'wanted a change' and move down the country to a Derby side unlikely to be any more than mid-table this season. We've lost Batth who played every time he was available last season, who had zero qualms about joining Sunderland, Norwich and Rovers quite recently, apparently because he wanted to be closer to home at Derby. We've lost Weimann for the same reasons despite him having about 5 years down in Bristol. We're now publicly preparing for Tronstad's departure because he wants to go back to Scandinavia (despite him publicly stating earlier this year that he was very happy here and would love to stay). Awful back luck really. Shame. Also quite odd how this misfortune doesn't seem to occur at any other club in such significant, large numbers, even clubs that haven't got billionaire owners and those based in far flung locations like Norwich or the NE. Ever so slightly convenient that it is absolutely nothing at all to do with any of Venkys, their henchman, Gestede, Ismael or anyone else working for the Club. No sir, nothing to see here. If ever you want to know what idiots they take us for just think about the above. Their assessment of supporter intelligence is such that they think people will buy all this. Sadly some will, and those people deserve what is coming.
  4. I actually don’t think he’s wrong on ‘numbers’ it’s the quality or lack of that I fear rb - alebiosu / miller / tgh / Montgomery cm - tronstad / Tavares / Montgomery / tgh / Baradji / forshaw cb - carter / Wharton / miller / McLaughlin so numbers wise with versatility we are ok but the elephant in the room is the quality in the numbers and to date (early days) it’s not been great
  5. It's another rebuilding job, and getting the newcomers to click as a team. We could do with another Jack Walker to build a strength in depth squad.
  6. He'd be out of his depth in a puddle, never mind his current job.
  7. It was a big mistake selling Dominic Hyam on the last day of the transfer window. He would have stayed for the season, but we would have had nothing for him on a free. Let's hope we've players in the squad to fill his boots.
  8. Sorry for heated words after the Norwich game, I was yellow carded. If Gudjohnsen can score against France, he should score a few against Championship teams. I'm sticking my neck out on this one, 1-2 to Rovers Gudjohnsen on the scoresheet.
  9. Well having lost 0-8 at Chorley it doesn't look likely.
  10. Anderson is another one of the many “ busy “ midfield players we have knocking on the door of the England team at the moment. Has he got the defence splitting range of passing, that “ X “ factor that Wharton has ? None of them have, none of them can pass the ball more than 20 yards regularly. That’s the reason every big club in the world is watching Wharton. There isn’t another one out there.
  11. Out of interest has all the interest around the women's team generated any additional supporters?
  12. Ismael is very comfy on his long deal and very much trotting out the company line in his interview. Not convinced that hes truthfully so happy about business. He keeps talking about versatility. Yes its very useful but it doesnt compensate for a lack of numbers. For example, we are short in midfield with Travis gone, Tavares (who Ismael seems to think has done well in every game which is far from true) and us signing someone who is nowhere near fitness. So Taylor Gardner Hickman should be needed there. But he cant play there and right back at the same time and our right back cover is now considered a full time centre back. And if we are so well covered, Hyam wouldnt have been one of the first names on the team sheet. Theres a continued batting off about the contract situation. No reassurance that anything is going to change and those with 2 years on their deals will be proactively approached.

  15. Exactly my thoughts, how can him and Suhail run a club, in recent times we’d at least have a decent manager to keep the club together but it doesn’t feel like we even have that anymore,
  16. Best go with a 5x. Time might be an issue now huh?
  17. I will, took me a minute to catch on.
  18. Oh yeah, Tariffs of Tangerine Tyrant, how dare.he.mess.with delivery of Rovers stuff.
  19. Measure.as.shown in 50's retro. 26" ish measuring across the shirt, shirt laying flat
  20. Yesterday
  21. Absolutely my thoughts. Has fucking patronising too "Andy you're quite smart" guy genuinely believes he's a genius? Thinks the squads better than last season but won't say they'll do better than 7th?
  22. Watched the Gestede interview... Arrogant and out of his depth. We are in trouble.
  23. Our goal from Jayden Sargent off the bench I see, only came on in the 75th minute. There was a bit of hype about him in the U18s last season I recall. I'm struggling to find his age, but the only thing I can see is from that Rovers Xtra account 3 months ago, stating he was 15 at the time! I'd assume 16 now, but a very good sign if he is starting to play and score for the U21s already. May be one to watch. Stats: 10 league appearances for the U18s last season, with 5 assists and 1 goal over 544 minutes (equivalent to just over 6 full games, and a goal contribution almost exactly every 90 minutes). Although no goals or assists for them this season in 3 games and 198 minutes (equivalent of 2.2 full games). Only one 9 minute appearance for the U21s this season before this match, in the PL2 against Brighton, and 4 for them last season, 3 of which were in this competition, the PL Cup. None of them last season were for more than 69 minutes, but he still got 2 assists, including 1 against City in the PL2 in a 16 minute cameo. If he really is 15 or only just 16 these are promising numbers. I wonder if he'll start to break into the U21s properly this season.
  24. The" new approach" has nothing to do with football and everything to do with a tiny transfer budget.
  25. Has anyone established what the situation is with Moussa Baradji??? When will he be able to train? Bizarre communication.
  26. Trav had his best season at Rovers last year. Hyam played our last 50 games. Sure, neither are world beaters but they were without doubt two of our best players, who, before being fucked around, wanted to stay. We wanted them to stay too. Hearing people claim this was a strategic squad restructure is driving me crazy. The club wanted all of the departing players but weren't willing to pay the going rate. I'm also interested to know which one of Tavares, Baradji or Gardner you think will be better than Travis, and why.
