  1. Past hour
  2. They probably called him up without asking him first. That's what African nations do in the hope they can blag themselves a player
  3. I’m pleased for him but a pound to a penny some manager will be saying to one of his players who have also been selected - “ See if the lad fancies a move “.
  4. That game against Brazil where Mullery marked Pele was the best I ever saw him play. He was tremendous that day. He kept Pele, who was probably at the height of his powers and playing in a great team, relatively quiet. Big Mal talked a lot of sense most of the time, I learnt a lot just by listening to him back in the day.
  5. That's a big blow. Pick of the summer signings. However, for Alebiosu, well deserved. He'll be around some top quality players and hopefully gets on the pitch, obviously no idea how Nigeria are for RB's/RWB's
  6. Is there a specific incident they're referring to for that video to be uploaded? Otherwise it's an utterly bizarre thing to post.
  7. He’ll never be able to play the Tronstad role. He’s not diligent enough.
  8. Today
  9. I've been saying the same recently. Might be way off the mark, but it's feeling like the end game in a lot of respects.
  10. He is one for the future. Sadly its a grim future.
  11. Really big blow. And it seems that none of our defenders will be back fit and obviously we cant sign or recall anyone before January and there are 3 or 4 games before that.
  12. Today’s football pundits are pussycats compared to the pundits of old, even this is tame:
  13. This is probably more like it but even that is unbalanced. The three CBs we have at the club which may get/stay fit this year are - Wharton, McLoughlin and Pratt. They are all left footed.
  14. Miller was signed to be our RB, I think - and to cover at RCB when playing 3 at the back. If we can either get one of our CBs fit enough to play more than a few games and/or we buy a new chap in the transfer window, I think Miller goes to RB.
  15. Very predictable injury too. Not factored in---we live on hope. Like with the pitch.
  16. TGH for me unless we need him in midfield. Failing that if we get one of our crocked centre halves back we can play Miller at right back. It’s bad news for Rovers but good news for the lad. He’s earned it.
  17. It'd be quite a chuckle watching JRC trying to play RWB.
  18. We used to have a chap who could do a job at RB when asked. We sold him to sit on the Charlton bench
  19. Is this rumour about Bob Coar running the club, have any substance??
  20. This is stupid why do they do it during club football time
  21. Does anyone else feel like the dam’s about to finally burst? Suhail’s supposedly nowhere to be seen. Bob Coar’s apparently running the club. League attendances are unofficially down to around 6000 with an unofficial boycott clearly happening. The club releasing a video asking people to stop saying nasty things. Venky’s no longer sending funding over. I hope I’m right.
  22. So the question is who replaces him at rwb or do we revert to a back 4 ? Either way, I think the only alternative is TGH, really can't think of anyone else tbh. Maybe Mori could play rwb if we stick to 3 at the back but her be a bit wasted there to me. If it has to be TGH at least that frees up a space in midfield for Baradji to come in if he's 100% match fit now ( which is unlikely just yet) Whatever, it confirms we need to look at rwb options n January
  23. Indeed. Like every PR statement from the club?
  24. Rovers commentary from yours truly…
