Yes but if the River Darwen is running high after a Friday deluge, the drainage would still be waterlogged the day after.... -
Presumably still ‘an excellent appointment’ according to some esteemed posters on here?

WATR are meeting with Martyn Henderson next week. Martyn is Interim COO at the Independent Regulator for Football. It is probably the first step in a long process. -

Yeah, why not, after ditching the EFL mandated supporters consultations they’ve also somehow managed to wrangle the FF down to just two meetings during the season. So might as well get rid of pressers too as all the local journos are suddenly ‘not up to the club’s very high levels of professionalism’, nothing to do with wanting to avoid scrutiny, of course. -

Eventually something will give and they'll leave. But I fear that will still be a long time coming, at which point there'll hardly be anything left. -

Both of these statements are true, Sheff Weds owner is worse than ours, but their silver lining is that this means he will be gone sooner, enabling a recovery, whilst Rovers are stuck in a seemingly endless cycle of decline -

A win tonight is crucial. Lose, then I fear the same for Saturday ahead of further tough games, and a downward spiral will ensue. -

Very unlikely. Raining all night Friday but light showers in the morning on Saturday and some sun as well. So will dry up. -

We are worse off in the long run as he’ll be gone sooner rather than later and a grand old club like them will recover. We will continue to see wages paid (for an ever lower wage bill) for ever and a day as we fall down the leagues. -

Perhaps this is their strategy. Ban all the journos, then have a ready made excuse to ditch the press conferences altogether. -

Any statements from the trust/coalition should be posted on here as well as the other outlets, unless I’ve missed them? -
Sheff Wed players told they won't be paid on time ---again. There's always someone worse off than yourself!! We only have the second worst owners in Britain.

This is not intended to be negative, especially as I think those statements are very good. But what is the intended audience and influence for them? Until Glen kindly posted them above, I hadn't seen them. That's probably because I'm not a group member. But I would imagine it isn't group members who need to receive and read the statements but those of us outside them, and the media, if they are to have any effect. Have I missed those anywhere, in which case ignore me?! -

Hopefully we wont see the same starting line up as against charlton again, but I think Ismael has his favourites now! Not sure the reluctance to start Gudjonsson. I'm assuming Albiolusi (Spelling?) is injured. The options at left wing are pretty dire. Toth Miller McGloughlin Wharton Ribiero Tronstadt TGH Moreshita Cantwell Yuki Gudjohnsson -

I was slowly warming to VI, we were playing decent mixed results which with a bit of luck could see us with two more victories. After Charlton however I am back to.square one, I did not like him at all early doors. He got. t wrong and was unable to correct it. Subs made things worse, Tavares needs to stay away from 1st team for a while, could there be pressure to play him? Surely VI sees what we do. TGH looks better option for midfield doesn't he? -
What effect do the coalition statements have? Seemingly the club have no interest in the opinions of fans and fan groups. When is this independent football regulator due to be operational? Are these things the supporter trusts could refer to the regulator? I cant see any statements or fan pressure having any effect on the cancers in charge. The only way for change is some official external pressure that forces change or causes Venkys to sell up. Cant see it unfortunately.
